Bio-Agriturismo La Casa di Melo - Cassibile, Siracusa

Location was excellent. Breakfast was outstanding, with a great variety of sweet and savoury pastries plus freshly squeezed orange juice (made with oranges grown on farm), also home-made jams. In addition they serve an outstanding value evening meal, again everything home made, including limoncello and a similar liqueur made from mandarin oranges. The family (Chiara & Lorenzo) are very welcoming as are their team

We stayed in one of the apartment, 3 young adults. we could visit the surroundings easily from this location, and stayed there all together 4 nights.

La Casa di Melo is an excellent B and B. The owners have renovated and decorated it beautifully and the citrus groves surrounding are wonderful. It is in a great location not far from Noto, Avola, and Siricusa if you have a car. Our room was small and single beds are narrow but comfortable. There are larger rooms available. The breakfast is incredible. Everything is organic and the choices are unending. Lorenzo and Chiara are warm, welcoming and helpful with restaurant suggestions. We loved their home and their dogs as well.

We Absolutelly would repeat our stay there. The location is perfect as well as the rooms,surrounding, facilities, the breakfast and specially the attention and kindness of the owners. We felt like at home. Excellent to both relax and let's tourism!!

We know from reviews that we would have a wonderful time, but our experience exceeded our expectations. Our hosts Lorenzo and Chiara were very gracious and attentive. We took their advice about dining and were impressed enough for two dinner visits. We stayed three nights and that wasn't long enough. Next time we will stay much longer. A relaxing interlude amongst day trips to various sights in the area. We love their dogs too.

Very quiet environment, with a beautiful landscape all around. We spent 7 days with our 6 year old chil and everything was great. Chiara and Lorenzo, the owners, are very kind and easygoing people. The food was excellent. Ideal location to mix culture and nature.

All good reports I saw about this accomodation are true. You are very well welcomed at "la casa di melo". You will enjoy particularly a very nice breakfast with genuine products. You get really a lot for the price.

-only poor thing: the showers are very small 'boxes' -breakfasts are wonderful and served outside very nice -sometimes home cooking is offered wich is delicious, creative and very good price value -we had a room down the hall, nice view and quiet

Our nicest stay in all of Italy. We wish we could have stayed longer. The room seemed brand new, and the grounds were gorgeous. We loved the breakfast; everything was homemade and grown right on the farm. They also make and sell their own jam, honey, soap, and almonds. We bought many to take home with us so we could taste the warmth of Sicily once we were home. The owners were so warm and friendly, and so were the farm dogs & cats. We hope to back someday soon and bring our family with us.

Upon arriving you step out of your car into a fairytale. The carpark is nestled in an orange grove and the sweet smell of orange blossoms permeates the place. Sitting outside in the garden partaking a sumptous breakfast with home made crepes and marmalade is heavenly. The staff is very pleasant and at least several people speak very good English. The location is perfect for sightseeing in Syracuse or travelling south on the eastern peninsula to hike and visit beaches. It is a guarentee that you will leave with wonderful memories and a scent you will never forget.

We really enjoyed our 4 nights at Casa di Melo (Hi to Melo the dog & Wendi the puppy). It is very convenient for visiting Siracusa of course, but we also made car excursions to Caltigirone/Ragusa and Noto/Marzamemi. The owners were very welcoming & breakfasts with local ingredients were excellent. Agriturismos in Sicily are the way to travel - talking to the owners gave us a real flavour of local life.

With only the GPS coordinates it was not easy to find (our GPS tried to send us over fields several times). Once found it was worth the effort. A very warm welcome from the young owners. The transformation of the farmhouse is still on-going but the hotel part was well equipped and comfortable. The garden will become even more attractive when the trees get bigger. Breakfast was the opportunity to taste the local produce.
