1. Description of position on web pages not as clear as on printed brochure - we drove straight past believing it to be nearer the city. 2. Position for visiting Siena is excellent, with bus stop 100m away and buses every 15 minutes.

Nice family run B&B on the immediate surrunds of Siena, right on the street heading to one of the major carparking. Quite surrondings and professional staff. Definetely a place to sign on your travel agenda

We loved staying here and wish we could have stayed longer than 3 nights. The only part I could not rate as excellent were our challenges in finding the place. We took the #3 bus but didn't have a clue where to get off. I think they are working on this. Good breakfast and lovely sisters. Take their tips on restaurants.

The map showed it was on the boundary of Siena, so we looked just outside the gates of the city, but it was actually a mile and a half further down the road, outside the city boundary. This was very misleading, and instead of walking into the city, we had to drive and park in an expensive compulsory multi-storey car park every time we visited. The hotel people were very friendly and helpful.

Great little B&B with renovated rooms, nice view of Tuscan hills and friendly staff. Clean rooms, good location if you want to drive around. A little far from Siena(not really walking distance). I would recommend this hotel.

Modern, clean and comfortable B&B within walking distance of the centre of Siena (there is also a regular bus service). Breakfast was good, though watch out for the cold soft-boiled eggs.

I believed we were booking a B&B that was somewhat 'out-in-the-country'. The actual location is just off a busy road and within sight and sound of a highway. That being said, the location was quite convenient to Siena.

Excellent buffet and service. The rooms were spotless and couldn't be faulted. I would DEFINATELY go back and recommend to friends and family.

How to reach B&B Fonte dei Tufi

By car
From the North: leave the A1 highway Milano-Napoli at the Firenze Certosa exit and turn right onto the Firenze-Siena freeway. Keep driving ahead for about 60 km and exit at Siena Sud. Turn left and follow signs for Siena. At the first roundabout turn right towards Porta Tufi. After about 300 meters, turn left following signs for Porta Tufi and Siena historical centre (Piazza del Campo). After about 100 meters you will see the B&B on your right.

From the South: leave the A1 highway Milano-Napoli at the Bettolle-Valdichiana exit and take the freeway to Siena. Keep driving ahead for about 60 km and take Siena tangenziale orbital road towards Florence and exit at Siena Sud. Then turn left and follow signs for Siena. At the first roundabout turn right towards Porta Tufi. After about 300 meters, turn left following signs for Porta Tufi and Siena historical centre (Piazza del Campo). After about 100 meters you will find the B&B on your right.

By train
From the train station take bus no.3 leaving every 30 minutes.
From Piazza Postierla (close to the chatedral) take bus no.54, leaving every 15 minutes.
