Very adequate. Clean. Did not specify that payment was to be in cash. No breakfast although some packaged snacks were available.

Clean room and friendly service. Good location for walking to the old town centre. Only gripe is the lack of any breakfast. On Sunday morning it was impossible to find anywhere nearby that was open, and very few places serve breakfast anyway. We went starving until the middle of the day, and then had to eat an expensive lunch. Apart from that, highly rec.

We had a very nice room with a great view. I believe it was an "upgrade" since we were allowed to choose among two rooms, so naturally we chose the nicer even though we paid the quoted price. Note that this should not be called a B&B since breakfast is not included, but I still thought it was a good deal.

Only problem was fiding hotel as we we recommended No 3 bus from station which doesn't go anywhere near;had to catch a minibusback into town thanks to helpful locals; otherwise beautiful view; owner helpful re taxi back; no breakfast but coffee and sweet buns in room much appreciated; a place of character with attractive gardensin which we could sit

Very welcoming, ideal location and a very appealing room. Lovely character for a very reasonable price. Breakfast was modest but not of great concern as we preferred to explore the charm of Siena for meals anyway. Parking was a free public area just outside the city wall - an easy walk following the owner's recommendation and her suggestions for restaurants and other facilities were helpful. Will defineitly stay there again.

Breakfast was extra and was euro 7 not 6 as advertised. not very good and no one in attendance to ask for more coffee. no tea. the room did not have space to eat breakfast in, but we asked to eat in the garden. the main problem i think was not having anyone on site to answer our questions. overall our stay was good and we would return and NOT have breakfast. the views from the room were wonderful. a shelf in the bathroom would have been useful to put toiletries on. no coffee or milk in room. a pleasant stay for one/two nights.

Silvia was very kind an comprehensive because we could not give her back the keys of the room as soon as possible because i had an accident falling down in stairs in Siena Duomo, so my father had to go back from the hospital to her place, which is far. I think it is a little expensive but all is clean, comfort and near down town, Silvia is very nice Thanks

Gaining entrance proved somewhat difficult and took over an hour with numerous phone calls.Eventually gained key from grandmother who speaks no english, fortunately I have reasonable Italian. As we were entering the grand daughter arrived to show us in.Once inside the room was clean and had nice view. The shower was hot and powerful.Plenty of tea and coffee. The bed was comfortable and room quiet. The garden had become somewhat overgrown. All in all it was value for money and only a short walk to restaurants and the main attractions

Nice small clean rooms, really near to the city center. Staff is kind and helpful. Bathroom is clean but small and there's no bidet. The walls are not that thick and you can hear almost everything from the rooms near you. Breakfast is not included but there's a fridge and a microwave available so you can cook your own breakfast.

Lovely, quiet B&B located next to the edge of the city ramparts and a 10 to 15 minute walk from the main tourist sights in the city center. There is a small garden with a wonderful view of the surrounding area. Nearby is a small grocery store as well as some less pricey restaurants as compared to the main tourist areas. This was a great location from which to explore Siena which is best done by walking. The owners were very helpful in providing information and ordered a radio taxi for us to get to the train station on the morning that we left.

We really enjoyed Siena, Le Camerine di Silvia was on the edge of old town so all the areas we wanted to see were with in a Siena Stroll from us and then we also had the spectacular view

Unlike other reviews we read, our stay was wonderful. Our room was large, clean and the terrace outside had a great view. This establishment is just a few minutes walk from the major attractions. The only negative is the street it is located on seems to be missing from many maps. Our cab driver did not have any problems finding it but it would not have been easy to find without help. We would stay here again if returning to Siena.

I would only suggest that visitors take a cab from the train station rather than the bus, as it is not frequent and involves a transfer. Beautiful views, incredible location as you hear opera singers rehearsing at the music school a block away, minutes from the Duomo and Piazza.

This would have been a perfect stay if it had not been difficult to get into the property. The landlady was not there when we arrived. To be fair we did not give any time of arrival. If it happens to you, simply go and ring at the garden gate on the left of the building and you will be greeted by the grandma who will pass on all the information you need as well as the keys for the rooms. We would advise to ring beforhand to make sure there are no surprises. Apart from that, everything was lovely. the rooms were extremely clean and quiet. We would go back there if we had to stay in Siena again without a doubt! Parking places were easily available in Via Paolo Mascagni which is two minutes away down the road. However do bear in mind that you need to pay for the parking during the times stated. You can reach the main things in the centre with a 10 minute walk.

Nice clean room within walking distance of all Siena sights. The owner was extremely nice and went out of the way to help us out. The prices was very reasonable and the room met all our needs.

Poor service. poor room in the basement. the room was dirty and full of moisture stains. the humidity of the room was really intolerable (the blanket was wet!).

Firstly, should be advertised as self catering as we had to provide our own soap and toilet roll and no option of breakfast. Also found a cat in the bed and cat hairs on the blankets, just a warning if you have an allergy! Location is quiet with attractive countryside views from outdoor seating. It's a 10 minute walk into centre of town, flat shoes required as Siena's cobbled streets are very hilly. Good sized room with microwave but a kettle would have been more useful.

Breakfast was not provided. Check in was advertised as 1pm, we arrived at 12.30pm and couldnt even get in the gates. Waited outside until 1pm and were allowed to leave our bags but told to return at 4pm. Came back at 4.30pm and the room was still not clean. Waited in the courtyard for another hr till the room was ready. That said it was a nice spacious room, clean new bathroom, nice garden for communal use, good location on the outskirts of the city so good view but still super handy to all the sights and main square.

We loved this location. When we walked out of our room we couldn't believe the view from the garden and our front door. The location was not far from the main street from Duomo to the Central Piazza (le Torre). We had a little trouble with the hot water and the toilet. But we worked with it. I liked the woman whose house it was (Silvia). She spoke very good English, and she was very nice and she picked us up at the Train station - a very big plus. We found a fabulous restaurant close by I Meistri - loved Umberto and his family, some of the best food i've EVER tasted.

The room was clean and spacious. It was kind of a hassle to get the key. Also, I thought that the rooms were closer to the center of the old city. Although we weren't far and were within the walls, I thought we'd be closer to the main sights.

Great location - within the city walls so walkable distance to all central attractions. Wonderful quiet terrace to relax before adventuring. Room was good, though quite basic and lots of ants (?). Also, despite being called a B&B, breakfast did not eventuate on any of the days we were there. This is not a massive inconvenience, so long as you are aware of it. And they did bring us a bottle of wine and cheeses unexpectedly one night when we were on the terrace. Nice hosts. While the room was not anything to write home about, it is really hard to beat the location. Would defintiely stay here again.

I very much enjoyed my stay at Le Camerine de Silvia. The room was spacious, bright and clean and the outdoor garden was very pleasant with a great view of the Tuscan countryside. The surroundings very very convenient with a small supermarket and cafe/bar/restaurant just around the corner. Also, compared to some other cities in the area (Florence, Lucca, etc), I very much appreciated the peace and quiet ! However, whilst the refrigerator and microwave in the room were a real plus, a few extra utensils would have been appreciated. The self service breakfast of juice, yoghurt, milk, biscottes/croissants, butter, jam, etc was very good but it would have been nice to have glasses for the juice, bowls and perhaps a coffee maker (bodum or the like). Lastly, for the price paid and relatively no services (no staff to guide/consult), I think that the cost of breakfast should be included. If not, than better equipped kitchen facilities to justify the price.

The bedroom was vey nice, in a very quiet area. From the terrace, we have a beautiful view on part of the old city. The bedroom decoration was also very nice. This is an ideal place to stay in in Siena!
