Bed and Breakfast Locanda Al Moro - Sciacca

Nice place to stay. Modern rooms, some of them with a great view. They offered also enough space. It's more like a small hotel. Only that they do not pay enough attention on cleaning their bathrooms. You can directly tell by entering the bathroom and take a look at the miniatur tiles. That's really a shame. The surroundings are very nice. Tipical Sicilian streets with elder people sitting outside their front doors. BUT we would recommend this place only to people who are used to excersise or walk a lot. The many many stairs are very tiresome, especially in this kind of heat. By arriving we had to drag our luggage all the way down stairs...can you immagine by the time we left??

We were booked to stay 4 nights, only stayed 1. The staff was very helpful, and friendly, but the location and the stairs were a problem for us. We booked based on past reviews, which we now think were over rated. We were very disappointed with our stay. The owner was very understanding when we decided to leave early. Our advice is to shop around at other hotels. You can get just as good a rate, and have a better stay.

Una agradable sorpresa este B&B y la ciudad de Sciacca, probablemente más recomendable para quedarse a dormir que la de Agrigento. El B&B está nuevo y sus dueñas son muy agradables y atentas. Estuvimos con nuestros hijos pequeños y la verdad es que la estancia fue magnñifica. Los cuartos no son demasiado amplios pero están muy limpios y funcionales. 100% ecomendable. El parking por la zona es complicado, pero al final se encuentra.

This hotel was good for a one-night stay, but the room was too small for any longer. You can't park nearby and we had to carry our bags up quite a lot of steps. But the hotel is right in the centre of a very pleasant town, and we enjoyed our stay here.

Parking is a premium at Sciacca. You will have to park at the bottom of quite some steps and climb up with your luggage to the hotel. The staff is super friendly and helpful, and will answer any questions you might have. Sciacca is full of friendly people and is much cheaper and not as tourist-infested as the rest of Italy. This hotel is located quite centrally to all the city-center attractions, but one day in the city is more than enough. We did not visit any beaches during our one-night stay because they are a drive away. Have dinner at the hotel owner's restaurant - it turned out to be one of the best meals I had during my month-long trip of Italy and Greece. Have coffee and drinks at a small cafe at the major piazza overlooking the ocean (don't remember the name, but as you're heading down to the piazza and looking towards the ocean, it is on the left.) The breakfast is like most other Italian hotel breakfasts...white breads, coffee, yogurt, etc. Nothing too interesting. Rooms were small but functional, much like other Italian hotels. The hotel's wine cellar was under construction when we were there so we did not get to enjoy the supposed wine tastings that I had heard about from other reviews. I highly recommend this B&B overall.
