Bed and Breakfast Antica Dimora - San Gimignano

Welcoming extremely poor. We had to wait 1 hour in the street for someone to arrive. The person in charge is not affable, and would not speak to us. I would not recommand this place.

We got a discount, otherwise the price was way too high for what you got. It is 4,5 km. outside of the town, not 2! The hostess does not care to answer her phone, so it is tricky getting in. It is a little dirty. You share a common room with 3 other rooms, which was NOT clear on the website. Little privacy. The fridge was full of ancient food and mold. The location is beautiful. The hostess only speaks Italian. Not too helpful.

El hotel está un un paraje cerca de San Gimigniano, el lugar es muy bonito y la habitación también. El desayuno, que se paga aparte, es caro para lo que ofrecen y no hay otro lugar donde desayunar...

The pictures on the website are beautiful but should know that the place is just by the road. We got a room that door and windows open to the road so we had to close them to be by ourselves. felt like traped. Moreover, on the road to San Gimignano we saw a lot of B&B with beautiful garden arround so ...disappointed at our arrival. We heared everything from the other rooms next door. No privacy at all. May be our room was the worst!

Lejos el mejor hotel de nuestra estadía en Italia. El lugar es precioso y el B&B inmejorable!! Lo recomiendo absolutamente!!. Si pudiera hacer una recomendación sería la de agregar algo salado al desayuno, ya que sólo tenía cosas dulces.

This place was awesome. It was a little ways outside of town but gave a true feeling of the Tuscan culture. I absolutely loved it but you need to rent a car to get around. You will need to call when you get the hotel to have a girl come on a scooter with the keys. Interesting.... but there is a wine tasting place 35 feet from the rooms and gives you something to do while you wait 30 minutes or so. Would definitely go back.

This was a wonderful place to stay. Fair breakfast and wonderful coffee.

The Antica Dimora was a very accomodating B&B, with nearby (free) parking. Breakfast was served at our requested time, and the kitchen/dining facilities were well stocked. We were able to use the refrigerator for our personal items. The inn is surrounded by vinyards and olive groves, and it was well kept. One negative note-the toilet tank in our room took a half hour to refill after a flush, and there was no one there to speak with to have it repaired. The owner/manager was there to check us in and to collect the rent, but not otherwise.

Excellent, well renovated antique setting. Owner is helpful and polite. Parking is off-site and SanDonato is small and away from it all.

Lots of charm, decorated with a lot of taste, fully renovated, very close to san gimignano : the perfect place to saty when you want to visit the chianti area !
