About Bed and Breakfast La Maison d'Uliva

exterior Back to the 18th century, our property called La Maison d'Uliva was actually a wine cellar that you can notice from the hole in the wall inside the house where the grapes were transformed.

In the 1970's, the restructuration of the all complex was carried out by a group of students coming from Le Corbusier Architecture school in Marseille and the several houses of the hamlet were restored with a special care of the original features.

A new part of the house was created maintaining with the same approach: preserve the details left behind since the past centuries mixing designers elements, traditional and ethnical objects from all over the world.

At last, in 2006 La Maison d'Uliva became a bed and breakfast. Susanna who manages the property prepares wonderful breakfast specialities, using the best natural products available for each season, giving you the opportunity of tasting straordinary apricots, cherries and blackberries...

There are two accomodations in the property, each 30 square metres big, fit to accommodate a party of 5 adults and a child.

Rooms at La Maison d'Uliva

double room At la Maison d'Uliva, the first guestroom is called: "La Chambre aux Tournesols". The second one is "La Chambre aux Tournesols", both are located inside a condominium property supplied with common swimming pool and all the bed & breakfast service provided by the owners.



From the outside, the stone walls reflect the antique origins of the property overlooking the traditional Provencal landscape. The unit consists of two double bedrooms with private bathroom and for one room is available an additional bed on the mansard floor suitable for a child.

The house can accommodate up to 5 people, preferably 4 adults and a child.

In order to access the upper level, there are the curved stairs, so you should bear this in mind in case somebody has walking difficulties but in this case there are even the external stairs access. From the windows of the suite, you will admire the countryside or a small sunny alley full of cypresses leading to a charming cobblestone pavement. Chambre aux Hortensias has even a nice view over the garden.

How to reach B&B La Maison d'Uliva

By car
By Car: If you are driving from Marseille airport, it will take you around 1 hour 10 minutes to reach Fontaube, in the crossing of roads D2 and D4. You must pass the towns of Vitrolles and Rognac before taking highway A7/E714 direction “Aix-en-Provence/ Avignon/ Lyon” and get off at the exit 25 for Cavaillon. After you reach this town, take road D22, N100 and veer right in D2. Stay on this track till the crossing with D4, in the outskirts of Fontaube, and you will find La Maison d`Uliva.

By train
In order to reach La Maison d`Uliva on public transport you will have to approach the closest railway stations –for the SNCF lines, the nearest “gare” is the one at Cavaillon (31 kms); for the TGV trains, it is Avignon (45 kms)-. If you get a connection landing in Paris, there are TGV train services departing from Gare de Lyon travelling to Avignon (they take around 3 hours).

Local buses stop at Apt, which is the nearest town at a distance of 10 kilometres from the property.

By airplane
Marseille airport is the terminal placed closer to the property: Marseille Provence welcomes both international and national flights, being the third air terminal in France, therefore you will surely find a connection from your point of departure. This airport stands around 90 kilometres from La Maison d´Uliva, and the best way to come from here is by car.
