Location ideal! Difficulty in finding front door to B&B, but once we discovered it, we were able to enter and exit easily. TV was a problem. It was difficult to access desired chanels (my grandkids never did get their TV working). Breakfast was not as complete as we experienced in other cities in Italy. I would have like more protein, ie., eggs and ham.

Excellent position within walking distance of all the main sites in central Rome. The owner was helpful, but the public areas were very small. There were a couple of issues because the building was under going major refurbishment, but otherwise our stay was really good and we hope to return soon.

Pantheon View B&B. Yes the room was small. Yes the view was not perfect, I could only see the top of the Pantheon dome from my balcony. Yes the staff were not always on hand when needed (not like in a hotel) and yes the breakfast selection was limited, BUT, I will definitely stay here again, the room was clean, staff were warm and friendly and the location was absolutely superb, out of this world, with everything within walking distance. Highly recommend.

The Pantheon View B&B was a great place to stay in Rome. Extremely well located and a good price. However, the staff, whilst nice, was only available very sporadically, so DON'T stay here if you need any assistance with getting around Rome. Also, the lift was under repair and won't be working until early February 2011. The B&B is on the top floor of a 4 storey building so you might want to re-think staying there until the lift is fixed. I probably would have changed my booking if I'd been aware that the lift was about to cease functioning. Overall though, I'd go back again and I'd request the room to the right of the breakfast room. It has a gorgeous balcony and does not share an adjoining wall with the rest of the B&B.

There was a seagull nest on the roof of the next house. And they made a terrible noise all day and night. Apart from that it was a nice and quite room. If the weather was bad, it was a bit of a queue in the breakfast room as then people couldn't have breakfast on their balconies. The employees were very nice and helpful!

The most and only positive you can say about B + B Pantheon View is the fine location in the middle of the historic center of Rome. The brochure and the pictures on the website are not telling the true story. The room we booked for € 150 per. night was terrible. It was less than 10 square meters and the ceiling height was below 2.3 meters. The described "beautifully room decoration" was worn and shabby. On the floor lay 2 worn and dusty carpets and the room was not properly cleaned, since there were empty soda bottles behind the curtain. There was no air conditioning and the only possibility for ventilation, was a huge extremely noisy industrial fan (diameter 70 cm) which stood on the floor , while the dust whirled up from the carpet in the entire room. We could not have the door open to the small balcony to the backyard, because there was a massive stench from the kitchen vents from the underlying floors. It was a really hot night. The breakfast room that on the pictures looks like a well sized dining room of a mansion, was at the size of a small walk-in closet. There was only space for 4 people at a time. Wall decorations in corridors and reception was performed by highly rustic stones as a vulgar theatrical backdrop. The personal service was not existing. While we should leave the premises at 7:30 in the morning, they did not take the trouble to serve breakfast. Do not spoil your trip to Rome by staying here.

hotel full of lies ! it seems to be nice on pictures, but it's not in reality ! it's just very small and noisy. Bed mattress is too soft, the bathroom is amazingly small, no room at all to put your clothes. And each time you use tap water or toilets it makes an awful noise. The only room available in the hotel is a tiny little room for the breakfast (only 2 small tables), you have to wait until people finish their breakfast to sit down. One day we had ants in our bedroom, it was not such a thing, but the silly proprietress put so much alcool on the floor that we had to stay all night with the windows opened because of the horrible smell. That woman was so hypocritical. And there's no way you can see the pantheon from your room, it's not true at all (only 2 bricks of the roof). The only positive thing : the cleaning lady , very nice woman

The location of Pantheon View B&B is great! We could walk to most major sites. It was clean and personal was friendly. For the price, it was a good place to stay. We stayed here in Oct., so no air-conditioning wasn't a factor for us, but certainly would be if staying here in the summer.

We spent three wonderful days at the B&B Pantheon View in Rome. The B&B is on the 3rd floor of an old building in the heart of rome. We stayed at the suite for five people, which offers a good price. You cannot beat the location next to the pantheon, it is close to all the important sights, restaurants and shops. We went everywhere on foot. There are always a lot of tourists in the area, so you feel safe all the time, including the nights. The staff was friendly, the rooms were small but clean and stylish with old furniture. There are steps inside the B&B, so be careful if you are handicapped. Pets are not allowed, but it is better to leave your pets at home anyway, because Rome is not the rigtht place for them at all. The breakfast was delicious, lots of fresh pastries, toast and juice. The cheapest way to get to the Pantheon View from Fiumicino airport is taking the train FR1 to Trastevere Station (5,50 Euro) and then taking the tram 8 to Argentina (BIT 1 Euro). At Argentina you can visit the cat shelter and then walk 5 minutes to the Pantheon view. Please note the correct adress (Via Seminario) and use a citymap, it was not so easy for us to find the building when we arrived. I definitly recommend the Pantheon View.

We found Pantheon View's location excellent. Breakfast offering below average for a continental breakfast. Our room with a balcony was comfortable with a typical small bath and tight quarters you'll find in historic Roma. The multiple keys weren't a problem except if persons in your party needed to separate during the day.It was very warm during our stay in early September and having to leave the doors to the balcony open to ventilate (fan) late night cooler air, compromised the quiet we could have had with the doors closed.

Great location made it easy to walk to many sites and catch buses to those farther out. Many nice and affordable restaurants in the area. B&B staff was very accommodating - we were able to leave our bags before check-in and after check-out. Room was simple, but clean. Breakfast was pretty basic - croissants and pastries with other breads with spreads, coffee and juice.

Best location in Rome, friendly staff and a nice, quiet room. All major attractions within walking distance and excellent restaurant next door. Only drawback was that we got only one set of keys for three people, and as B&B is located on third floor behind three locked gates/doors, this is a bit awkward. Tiny breakfastroom, but on the other hand that brought us into contact with friendly guests from other parts of the world, which was quite nice. We became almost like a small familiy. Would love to stay here again!

Loved this place! The location can't be beat, and the live-in manager was very kind and helpful. The tiny elevator was challenged to fit two people and our luggage, but was charming. The room was small, but beautifully decorated and the plantings and sculpture on the little eating balcony were lovely. The coffee was great, if the pre-packaged pastries left a bit to be desired. This is an amazing value for the location.

My family and I generally had a great stay at the Pantheon View over Dec30 to Jan4. The owner greeted us when we arrived, took us through the check in process and handed us the keys to the building and to the B&B. After that, we were left much to our own devices, which was great. It felt like a home away from home. The place is, on the other hand, very compact and there is not much room to move around, both in the "common areas" as well as in your rooms. We had the "suite" - 2 bedrooms together, with an ensuite. Even the elevators to the B&B could barely fit 3 people. But that was all part of the charm of being in the location, which is simply fantastic! Overall, I will give it a thumbs up - if you can take the "cosiness" of narrow corridors, staircases, elevators, and the tiny breakfast room (we gave up and had breakfast in our suite after the first morning). But hey, you are on vacation and as they say, "When in Rome ..."

If you want to stay in the historic district (and you do!), there is no reason to stay any place else or pay anymore. This is a perfect location with a beautiful view. Feel like a local and less like a tourist. The best espresso in the city is around the corner at Tazza d'Oro. The Pantheon, of course, is your neighbor. The Trevi Fountain, Piazza Navona, Campo de Fiori, Palantine Hill, Colosseum, and Forum really are within 5-20 minutes if you're walking. If you're not walking, a taxi stop is located right next to the Pantheon. Terrific, authentic, non-touristy restaurants abound nearby. Try Osteria da Mario's outside at night, Ristorante Enoteca Corsi for lunch, or Trattoria der Pallaro anytime. Yes, the rooms are small, the shower is small (just turn sideways when getting in), the elevator holds 1 person and 1 suitcase, but that is exactly the same as the 3 and 4 star hotels in this surrounding area that charge 2 and 3 times the price. Save the money and stay here.

Our room was really small but nice with a balcony (a small piece of the Panthoen could be seen - at least when bending over the balustrade). The breakfast was self service and for Italy the choice seemed to be quite good (toast, cornetti, packed cheese and marmelade). As the cornetti did not seem to be very fresh, so that we preferred to have it in a bar nearby. After arrival we obtained a leaflet containig all things that need to be considered - time of breakfast, how often towels would be changed, extra fee for an additonal change, fee if the key is lost etc.. Payment of the bill for the room in advance. This seemed strange, but in the ende it did make no odds. The welcoming was very nice. The B&B is located in the city-centre so that the most places, tourist would like to visit can be visited by foot. When the windows are closed the rooms are really quiet.

I stayed here with my grandfather for 3 nights. The staff were great, the rooms clean and bright, and the position close to the Pantheon was the best thing of all (great food and entertainment 24/7). The only problem was a blackout on the first night which meant no hot shower after traveling for over 30 hours. This was not the fault of the B&B and they tried hard to give us updates and lit candles throughout the buidling which added to the atmosphere. You can easily walk (safely) anywhere in Rome from here and enjoy breakfast and afternoon drinks on the balcony. Highly recommended!

Room was quite nice and the balcony was very pleasant (Just as pictured on their web site). The room and bathroom were clean and well tended. The staff was a family with varying Englsh (very good to fair) and helpfulness. There was no one at the "front desk" but they were on call by buzzer any time during the day. We were in room #1 which was fine. If we had been in any other room we might have had problems with the extra steps to climb (we are both 80 years old). Breakfast was, as described by others, basically packaged pastries but there was plenty of coffee, juice, toast (and toaster), croissants, butter, jam etc. to make a "standard Continental" breakfast to have on the balcony.

However, I got peak at other double rooms and those appeared more spacious. the location is great and for the price the place was reasonably charming, and clean. It's Rome, it's a bit more epensive than other places in Italy, so you expect to pay a bit more than other places, but I think for the budget traveller this is pretty fair value. It's neat and tidy and very close to everything. Easy enough to find, although the map could be a bit clearer, and once you're settled in just a great location. So close to everyhting you could want, such as Piazza Navonna, and Fontana di Trevi. We could see the top of the Pantheon from our bedroom window, and had a late night gelato in the square below on our way back to the room each night. Once complaint, I thought the website said it had airconditioning, it doesn't, and in high summer this might be a problem. In early September when we stayed it wasn't.

Location was perfect for everything tourists go to Rome for. We were steps from the Pantheon and its delightful square. Within east walking distance to Trevi Fountain,Piazza Navona and Spanish steps. 20 minute walk to the Vatican and 25 minutes to the Colosseum. Room and public areas were nicely decorated but the shower was grubby and water never got warmer than lukewarm, even though we let the shower run for 10 minutes, as instructed by proprietress. The B&B was excellent. Located right by the Pantheon - you couldn't get a better location for such a good price to see all the sites. On our arrival - Sunday 24th April - we managed to walk to the Vatican to see the new Pope Benedict 16th's inauguration within 20 minutes! The B&B is on the top floor of a private block, situated behind iron gates - lovely imposing doorway! There is a tiny lift (can take 2 people and small bags!) to get to the top floor where the B&B is situated, but if you want to walk the stairs - 3 flights - not ideal for children. I would say that this is ideally suited for a couple visiting Rome for the first time. We didn't require a fussy large room and having a balcony made a difference - lots of street noise which we loved (although the balcony window is double glazed reducing noise once closed). A stud wall split the en-suite bathroom from the bedroom - so not overly sound proof, but adequate!! The very basic breakfast is available which consists of sweet bread/croissants, snack toast with cheese and coffee/tea/juice. We would stay here again and recommend to anyway who prefers a base with no fuss.

The best thing about Pantheon View is its location in the centro istorico. The views of the pantheon itself are fairly remote. But it is pleasant being on the top of a smart appartment block. The rooms are OK though I suspect rather warm in summer since there is no apparent air conditioning. Breakfasts are really poor. Bad coffee, only sweet croissants ,no rolls - not good enough for the price paid. But that apart the accommodation is not bad overall.

My wife and I stayed here for two days. The reception was very friendly and helpful. When we reached our room (Double room for 2 people) it was a bit small, but no problem. The Goods: The balcony was just as the pictures had indicated (on another hotel site - not venere) and we were able to enjoy our breakfast there privately each morning. The street below was quiet until usual waking times, and the location was very convenient and close to everything we wanted to visit. The bads: The coffin-sized shower was just big enough for me to stand and turn around in, and made horrible sloshing noises whenever the water was used. The elevator was just big enough for one person and two suitcases to stand in. The breakfast room was right next to our room, and the walls are pretty thin. Some people decided to take a late coffe and smoke there and we could clearly hear their voices and smell their smoke through the wall and door. I'd definitely rate it a 2 star hotel, and would maybe stay there alone, but not with my family again.

Breakfast consists of prepackaged croissants and such in a very tiny, cramped room. However, the location of the hotel and the spaciousness of the rooms, as well as the quiet of being up high was excellent.

I cannot recommend Pantheon View enough! My wife and I went to celebrate our first wedding anniversary and if it pleased my wife on such an occasion, it can't be bad! The location is superb (literally 30 seconds walk to the Pantheon and centrally located for all other major attractions), the friendliness and quality of staff was refreshing, the room had the most comfortable bed (other than my own) that I have slept in, and our room also had a veranda looking out over Piazza Rotunda which made sitting in the room when exhausted after sight-seeing very enjoyable, with all of that people-watching to be had. The only down side was that being so close to the Piazza, the background noise of an evening, especially of a weekend, was quite high with the late-night socialising that the Romans do (then again, that was also part of the appeal of the location!). Be warned though, that although all booking is done through a credit card, you can only settle the bill in cash - this caught us out as we were not informed of this and a mild panic in trying to obtain the cash through an ATM. However, all in all, I would definately go back to Pantheon View if staying in Rome again and will recommend it to anyone interested in visiting Rome in the future. Ciao!

The location could not be better! Lovely balcony for breakfast in the morning and just hanging around the rest of the day, if you're lucky enough to get one of the rooms with a balcony.

We were very happy with our choice of Pantheon View. We would book again. The location cannot be beat. The only suggestion I would make is that if you like to read in bed you should bring your own book light, as the bedside lamps are a little too dim for reading. The hotel is very well insulated from street noises, but you will hear a certain amount of noise from inside the hotel, mostly water in the pipes, and voices in the halls. Fortunately, it is not too loud, and does not occur at all hours.

As billed - just a few steps away from the Pantheon, couldn't ask for a better. Very clean and the room (#4) was very spacious, though the bathroom could have benefitted both from some re-grouting in the shower tiles and better lighting (couldn't see yourself as you showered!). Otherwise, an excellent choice, and would happily return again.

Rome especially being a city where hotel location vs sights is very important, this facility provided an excellent match. As hotel rating 3 star facility with excellent value for money. Rooms 1 and 2 could be an excellent solution for a famiy as rooms can be connected via (outside) terrace (2M*10M !!)

We enjoyed a lovely spacious room at Pantheon View which was in an ideal location for visiting Rome. The room was nicely furnished; the bed was large and very comfortable. The bathroom was also large and very clean with a plentiful supply of hot water for showers. My husband was a little bothered by noise from the streets below where there were noisy parties until the wee hours, and of course with no screens on the windows there were mosquitoes at night. We were never disturbed by other guests at the B&B. The breakfast food was plentiful and good and the room cleaned daily. We would happily stay at the Pantheon View again and appreciated having the reviews of others who had stayed there to help us in making a decision about accommodations in Rome. I would heartily recommend the Pantheon View to anyone intending to visit Rome.

Service: very nice welcome and almost invisible most other times. Location: this is an excellent location- it is walking distance (15-20 minutes)from all the major sites (Vatican/Colloseum/Spanish steps)and only 5 minutes from Trevi Fountan, Piazza Navona and Teatro Argentina. It is about 30 metres from the Pantheon although saying it has a Pantheon View is stretching it slightly - you can see it if you lean sideways off the balcony. Room: Pleasantly decorated with pleated fabric hanging ceiling drapes, chandelier, wall friezes and marble floor, the bed was comfortable. The balcony was accessed by french doors and was a great place to sit and eat. It has wisteria and other creepers and is an interesting view looking up and down Via Del Seminario which is a very narrow street. There was no airconditioning, however the aspect of the room was such that the sun was never directly streaming in, and we found that we did not need it , even though it had been about 34 degrees during the day. The bathroom was very small. Gripes: our only gripe was that for the price that we are paying it would have been nice to have some fresh food for breakfast, not the longlife biscuits and brioches that come in plastic bags.

Pantheon View is in an excellent location if you are looking to stay in the center of Ancient Rome. Most of the major attractions are within easy walking distance. The rooms are rather small - thank goodness we had a balcony and could sit outside. Our room had a ceiling fan which we kept running all the time and which kept us comfortable at night. Overall not bad - would stay there again just because of the location.

Great location, right next to Pantheon, but noisy because of that. Small shower...but that's the norm. No a/c meant keeping the doors open at night, and it was not conducive to sleep because of noise. The main problem I encountered was not know which exit to take off metro, as there was no map. The directions said Spagna, but that is a long ways away with luggage. Taxi would be recommended. The room was twin beds and had a nice balcony to eat breakfast on. Be aware that check-in must be before 9 p.m. I just made it, after getting lost from Metro! Nice owner who speaks English. Great gelato places nearby.

This was a repeat stay for us and we will return. We enjoyed the location and value as well as the warm welcome. The English spoken by the hosts is very good. There are a few quirky things to this B&B. The double beds are two twin beds pushed together with a bit of a gap. The hot water temperature is inconsistent to say the least. That said the location and personalities make up for the quirkiness. Oh, and there are the lovely terraces off of the rooms. We will definitely stay there on our next visit.

The location is excellent, the rooms are clean and the price is affordable, making this a desirable place to stay. However, concierge services are available only at check-in and guests should be aware that they will be more or less on their own during their stay, so depending upon the time of day it may be difficult to obtain assistance should something as simple as a hairdryer or extra towerls be needed. The breakfast room is quite small and tables in the rooms are tiny. And the view of the Pantheon may be somewhat obscured, to say the least. But Pantheonview really is only about 50 feet from the Pantheon and within walking distance of most of the historic center. The electric minibus stops at the door to take visitors to sites beyond, so it is well worth considering for those who do not require luxury accommodations.

PantheonView is now our home-away-from-home in Rome. The location is excellent, in the midst of ancient Rome, and within walking distance of most major sights. You take a very small elevator to the fourth floor, where you are greeted by Ida, a very pleasant and concientious young woman. Rooms are very nice, and each has a balcony looking toward the Pantheon. The rooms are spacious, although the bathrooms in rooms one and two are fairly small. Breakfast consists of juice, coffee or tea, and a croissant. You receive a key to both the building and the PantheonView, itself, so you can come and go as you please. The price is reasonable, and you sometimes can negotiate a discount for a stay of a week, or longer. We have now stayed herw three times, and will continue to stay here whenever we are in Rome. All in all, we enjoy this B & B very much.

This b&b is a real find. An exceptional location at an excellent price. While there are a few quirks (unreliable hot water, unexciting breakfast)nothing more than is to be expected when you choose to stay in a b&b instead of a conventional hotel. The rooms were charming, the beds comfortable and the balcony shared by two rooms overlooking the street and the Pantheon was really something special.

Overall, we enjoyed our stay at this place. The room we stayed in has a little balcony facing the street outside, so there were a lot of noises even when we closed all the windows. The toilet in the bathroom makes several huge pumping sounds when we flushed the toilet. The sound was caused by the water pump underneath. It is very lound and even worse at night. It makes me afraid to go into the bathroom to use the toilet at night.

The location of this B&B is perfect--a wonderful part of Rome to be in for both its proximity to the incredible Pantheon (with one of the nicest piazzas in the city)and its central starting point for walking to almost any other area of Rome. The other attraction of this place are the charming balconies with a side view of the Pantheon, tables to have your breakfast on and fragrant frangipani growing on the walls. Location and balconies make this place very worthwhile. But the inconveniences include small rooms with paper-thin walls (noise), even smaller bathrooms and shower stalls, and very erratic and minimal hot water. Those things were at first annoying but we got used to them. So if you're ready and willing to put up with those downsides, it's recommended for the rest.

Very good accommodation. excelnt price for the location. However, there was really NO view of the Pantheon and we felt a little cheated, we would have paid more and would have moved to another location (we were on our honeymoon) if we could, but only because we wanted the absolute best. The photos on-line bore NO resemblence to the view. The staff, when they were there, were very nice. Not a great hotel, at least not as great as it makes out, but would stay for a normal holiday, it was just very dissapointing for a honeymooning couple. Thank you for your help.
