B&B Hotel - Rome

Friendly staff; So called breakfast was terrible: some hard cookies, bad coffee and cheap orange juice - served on a table in the corridor to be consumed in the tiny room...

Central location with everywhere in easy walkable distance. Obviously not a 5* hotel but I would recommend it - in fact I've stayed in many 5* hotels in Rome and many of them do not tick as many boxed as the B&B Hotel.

If you have a small budget this is a great place we thought. It has a great location, a 10 minute walk from the station, 10 minute walk from the colleseum, has a great variety of restaturants tucked away in streets 5 minutes walk away. It has the tiniest reception when you walk through the doors and when you are guided up the stairs to the floor with about all of its 7 rooms we started to get worried as they are still decorating here, but once you meet the corridor with the rooms off the stairwell all is ok. The rooms were modern, very clean with air con and windows looking out on the street below (the double glazed windows keeps out the noise). The rooms are very small though but if you are out all day seeing the sights and you want to come back to somewhere clean, modern, friendly (and cheap for roman prices!) then this place is ideal. The staff on the reception desk are a real asset and so obliging and friendly (one gave us his umbrella to go out to dinner with as it was raining one night!). The breakfast is worth mentioning. Croissants, pastries, cakes, fruit, yoghurts, juices - which are all very nice - are left out on a table in the hallway, so you have to eat in your room which is tricky as theres not much space! There are also a few handy shops across the road where you can buy your supplies. I would definitely stay here again if I was looking for a reasonabley priced place to stay. Enjoy Rome it is spectacular!
