Cialdini Inn - Rome

- Small room. + Very good staff.

You get what you pay for. The area is near the Termini and it is dirty. There was no one to tell us which floor to go to. A person passing by told us to go to fourth floor. The reception desk is right outside your door. You hear talking and it is noisy. The receptionist smoked. I told her I was allergic to cigarette smoke. She said she would quit, but I don't think she did. I had to open the window to let in fresh air.

Clear and nice. very near Roma termini. But it's really strange that we check in in a building and lived in another building which is 2 minutes walk from the reception room. anyway, it is nice. would recommand.

The price was great, but the trade-off was the surroundings - the building was questionable, and it was unclear where to go to get to our room. I did not realize I had to inform the owner of our arrival time - as a result we arrived and everything was locked with no one around. It was quite unnerving. Given the surroundings, the room itself was better than I expected. Next time I think I will spend more to stay at a hotel in better surroundings.

The B&B was located at a very small road opposite to the station, difficult to find on the map. Convenient access for public transportation but bad surroundings. Breakfast is very basic, room is OK, but I think there must be plenty of choices around the Termini similar with this one.

On our arrival there was nobody, though they said reception would be open from 9 am till 9pm. I had to call and wait for the person to come and open. She asked to be paid cash then we managed to pay half cash half credit card. Th room was good and clean. At mid-night she was expecting a guest who woke us up because of the noise they made, then at 5 am woke up again because somebody actionned a bell that would not stop ringing ! The breakfast was very bad. A cup of coffe and a croissant prepacked for each person with something like orange juice not palatable. The last two days the person disapeared leaving us without breakfast. And on the last day the elevator was not functioning, we had to take all our luggage on the stairs from the fourth floor. The lady came while we were leaving, shouting because the elevator was not working, without any apology for the breakfast not done or any good-bye. Very disapointing! Would never come back there.

We had expected to stay at Via Cialdini 14, but were escorted to Via Rosmini instead. It was an excellent apartment though, clean and roomy, in a good location still near Termini.

My room was spacious and very clean. I could not get the TV to work. Next time I will bring my own alarm clock. And, I was charged twice for my room...I paid cash in the evening and when I returned home and read my credit card statement, I found a charge for the room on there also. The map I was using was no help...next time I will know better. The location is excellent. I would recommend the Cialdini Inn to anyone.

This is a basic B&B very close to central train station. Clean, roomy, new inside. But bad area at night. Breakfast is very basic, served in room. Good price. Have to call ahead with time of arrival, no staff on duty at location.

Lo mejor del hotel es su ubicación. Lo peor el desayuno, muy pobre apenas un pocillito de café con 1 factura que la trae la chica de la recepción a la habitación.

Really surprisingly clean and well equipped room. The employees were also friendly. I wouldn't hesitate to stay there again. Definitely exceeded expectations.

Not a full-service hotel, but perfect if you seek a reasonably-priced bed and breakfast. Rooms are recently renovated & located inside a larger apt. building. Our room was very clean & contain a nice, large bathroom. Ideal location for using local transport such as train, metro or buses, plus easy 10-15 min. walk to Colosseum and other sights. Recommended for guests who do not require facilities of a full-service hotel (such as business center, gym, restaurant, room service, etc).

A nice stay; the only bad thing was the heating: it didn't work so we were almost freezing. Considering that it was another bad point of someone else's stay (as read on Venere)...they do not care to fix problems in that facility. I would rate 7/10 because I found nice room and a good price.

Directions given are just for the office were one checks in, Room is located at a different place, but with better surroundings. Room was good, well equipped, just had a problem with the warm water, there wasn´t any hot water or we couldn´t find how to use it.
