We had difficulties to find the house and to get in. It was a little scaring being the only guests, but actually everything was ok. Given the price, however, the fact that there was no airco and shower in the room is disturbing

Close to the metro, quiet and realxed neighbourhood, and an unbeatable quality-cost ratio make this an exceptional place in Rome. It will be the first place I will look to for any future visits to Rome!

Do not stay here unless you speak Italian well. The directions from the Metro should be corrected because we had to get locals to help us find it. It is in an apartment complex that is on more of a driveway than a street even though it has a "Via" sign. I'm sure it would be fine for Italians, but Americans, beware.

located in an apartment building, 2nd floor rented out as B&B, nice people, very little English but still friendly and helpful.

The rooms were very nice. Although while going through the lock down procedure one would get a little nervous, but were no incidents and we were out late. Our flight was early in the morning. We didn't get breakfast because it was to early (6 am?). The woman was up ,but even a cup of coffee would have been a nice send off. Gremana (the woman we dealt with) was very nice, hard to understand but we were in her country and we managed. It was kind of nice. The room was a little further from the sites of rome than I had anticipated but we made the best of it. Alot of extra walking. Not many restaurants to choose from in the area, but we did find a couple.

The property is ideally located in a quiet area, 15 minute walk distance from the Vatican, 10 mins from CIPRO underground station. Rooms are nicely furnished, clean and comfortable. Breakfast is absolutely excellent. Internet service is provided. Highly recommended!

The property is good located in a residential area, not far from the Vatican and underground station. Our room (for 4 people), was pretty furnished, clean and extremely spacious, well above Italian hotel standards. The shared bathroom is brandnew and was always very clean. Breakfast was absolutely excellent and plentiful. The owner does not speak any English but is very nice, helpful and friendly. On our departure day, we said we would not have breakfast because we had an early flight. She prepared it for us very early in the morning anyway! Internet service is provided. Very good value for money. Highly recommended!

This hotel/BandB was well priced and well located. The rooms are small and clean. The shared bath was clean. The owner is a bit gruff, bordering on unfriendly. The smell of smoke in the rooms is incredible although there are "No Smoking" signs posted. The owner smokes and the smell is VERY strong. I left Vatican's House with a sore throat after a 4 night stay.

This property is difficult to find. The instructions are misleading and it is some distance from the metro. In fact it is easier using the 990 bus from Piazza Cavour.

We had read that it was hard to find so we choose to take a taxi. Vatican House reserved a taxi and it was waiting for us at the airport. When we left we took the Metro and train and that was easy. My husband and I had a wonderful time in Rome. The Vatican House is close enough to the Metro to come back to rest in the afternoon and then take off for more sightseeing in the evening. We loved it and would stay at there again!!!

In the middle of the summer, you really want A/C and this has it and it works! We've visited Rome twice now and this was both convenient and comfortable. Nice hospitality, kids now have a new Italian grandma!

We had a little trouble actually locating the place the first time but after that it was good. A healthy walk from the Vatican. It was comfortable and clean and the added cheap availability of internet use great. A good place to return to for a shower and recharge before heading out to enjoy Rome.

This B&B came with many good reviews and high scores but I was disappointed on several counts. The elderly proprietor was not especially welcoming. She spoke no English. She insisted on payment in euros - no cards - immediately we arrived. On our day of departure I had been assured in an email with Vaticans House that we could leave our cases as we had an evening departure. But we couldn't. Had to arrange left luggage at main city railway station. My advice - spend a few more euros for somewhere more welcoming to tourists.

First of all I was surprised that the bed and breakfast was an individual apartment inside a large building. You use the stairs or take a tiny elevator 3 floors up. Once we entered the (apartment) bed and breakfast we were impressed that everything was well decorated and clean. Also the woman (staff) was very helpful even though she didn't speak english we were able to use a lot of hand gestures to communicate. When we had to wake up at 3:30 in the morning she got up and called our taxi which was excellent. So overall for the price of 70 euros it was great.

Our room was lovely, large and clean. The bathroom very large and new. Wellcoming hostess (only italian language but no problems to understand). Good position in a quite area very near from vatican city and shopping center. Well connected with metro and bus. We will stay again. Sehr freundlich und sauber, sehr aufmerksame Gastgeberin. Obwohl an einer belebten Straße gelegen, war es ruhig. Ich habe mich sehr wohl gefühlt und werde auf jeden Fall wieder im Vatican's House buchen.

Everything but the location was great. Very clean and cozy B&B. Warm breakfast is served. Charming owner lady who does not speak English (but has no problem). However, it is located in a bit rough residential area and 15-20 min. walk away from Vatican City. You have to carry your luggage for 10 minutes from the nearest subway station. I would not chose this accommodation just because of the location issue.

The rooms were lovely, the owner was helpful & welcoming even though she never spoke much English & we do not speak any Italian. She was always happy & helpfull. Our beds were made every day as well as the bin's emptied & towels changed. The accommadation is well placed within a 2 minute walk from the Vatican city. The main metro is just a short walk away, and the owner with provide a shuttle service for 40 euro's for upto 4 persons. The area is tipicialy Italian & you must visit the italian restaurant which is just down the road. (Cross the crossing next to the cash point, after the 2nd petrol station) This is a must. You will recieve a very royal welcome from a family run restaurant which is very reasonably priced. We had a 3 course meal with wine & bear for 63 euro's. Trust me this is cheap. (We paid 43 euro's for a pitza & 2 beers & it was only 1 euro 15 cents for the £ when we were there)

The Vatican House was warm and friendly. The staff didn't really speak any English but still were quite charming and helpful. It was very clean, comfortable and located near a metro stop and some pizza bars. The rooms had interesting lighting and breakfast was simple but good. We were able to find wi-fi access within the building. The only downer was that the rooms weren't very quiet and we heard some other guests come in late at night very loudly but when in Rome...

This was a lovely place for basic B&B needs. It was exceptionally clean and the owner was quirky but in a good way. Slight language barriers, but we got on fine with our limited Italian. A bit tricky to find, but once found is very easy to get to and from on both the bus and the Metro. I'd recommend printing off local maps before visiting as this location is off most tourist maps.

I had such a wonderful time at Vatican's House. The place is a bit hard to find but the staff are always available via mail and mobile phone, and they were very helpful and friendly, so I never had any problems and they always helped me and gave me lots of information about getting around in Rome. I was a bit worried about the shared bath room thing, but the place was always clean and I never really had any issues of use of bath room. Other guests are very friendly and I met some very nice people and become friends too. The onsite staff was very helpful but not intrusive. The location was not central Rome, but I preferred the quietness and security. Access to all the major tourist spot is very easy via metro and bus, and there is Roma pass that covers all the public transport expence, so it was no problem. Being very close to the Vatican, is really good as you have to wait in a big line to get in to the museum etc. Also enjoyed going to the local supermarket to get food and living like a local. The room was spacious, well air conditioned, very confortable and quiet. I recommend the place to anyone.

If you are looking for a basic but good value for money accommodation this is the place you should stay. The room was very good and clean. It is for people who are simply looking for a place to stay at night close to the city centre.

We stayed on the 12th of June and had a great stay. It was in a good position quite close to the Vatican, and also close to the underground/tube/ and bus stops. We kept asking for directions and found it easily. We were a family of 4 and had a large room, everything was excellent, very homely and clean. We also found a restaurant close by called the "Le Fenise" and found it was excellent. We have a Bed and breakfast in Keswick, England "BLUESTONES" and so we are quite particular.

We arrived after 9pm and our taxi driver dropped us off at a small back lane - we were quite disorrientated after a days travel but once we had gained access to the bed and breakfast we were very happy with the accommodation. The lady that gave us a tour of the property did not speak any english but this made the visit more enjoyable (more authentic). We thoroughly enjoyed our visit and the lady in charge (who carried out the tour ) was very attentive.

The Vatican's House was my wife and I's first stop on our 2 week trip to Italy. The directions to the B&B that we were given were perfect and we found it with no trouble once we got off the Metro and walked to it. Our host was the nicest lady and she did not speak much English, but she was so nice and thourough in helping us understand how to use the keys to enter the building and when breakfast was served etc. so we felt instantly welcome. Our room was quite large, clean and the shared bathroom down the hall was also nice and clean. The walls are a bit thin, but we found that to be consistent in all of our stays throughout Italy on this trip. The breakfast was simple and tasty and it was nice to meet the other people staying in the B&B as well at breakfast. We found the price very reasonable and the location great too. The Vatican is very close and there is much to see and do within walking distance of the B&B. We highly recommend it if you're staying in Rome.

The B&B was very difficult to find. I walked around the area in circle for almost an hour with my heavy backpack and nearly gave up trying to locate it. It was basically a large apartment with multiple rooms and no reception area, when I arrived all the doors were closed and the hallway was gloomy so it was a little creepy (funny when I later talked to a couple other tentants and found out that they had the same reaction to the place !) The room I had was nothing like the picture. I could put up with the room, location, etcc.., but the biggest problem I had was with the housekeeper. She spoke almost no english, so communication was extremely difficult. She told me check-out time was 9am (which was unusually early by common standard) and she literally kicked me out of the place when I wanted to leave the apartment at 8:30am for a quick 15 mins run nearby. In my 11 days trip I had stayed at 3 other B&Bs and they were far more pleasant to rent from. If you do not expect any level of services, then that place is okay for 1-2 nights stay, but definitely no more than that.

An 'off the map' location, so a bit tricky for us to find it the first day. However, the benefits definitely outweighed the difficulty. We had a spacious room and ensuite bathroom, a gracious, grandmotherly Italian hostess, tasty breakfast and a 10 minute walk to the MA line. Safe, quiet, residential neigborhood, which also means no restaurantes are open before 6:30pm, but you can always get a slice of pizza!

The place is very nice indeed. It is near Vatican and the metro. The instructions about getting to the Vatican's House need some more details since it can be a bit confusing. Please indicate the names of the streets from the metro to the Vatican's House. Breakfast is delicious though if it would be the same everyday, it wouldn't be so nice then. The service is wonderful.
