Wonderful location and Rudy is very welcoming. Literally across the street from the Vatican Museum and only a few blocks from the Metro so it's very easy to get around Rome from there.

The owners gave a lot of helpful advice about where to eat, getting around Rome etc. It was nice to have free access to the kitchen. Great location to visit the Vatican and its museums. The historical centre is also within walking distance. The rooms may seem basic on first sight, but they have everything you need (including a safe). Definitely recommended.

Good adress if you like to stay near the Vatican and its Museum: you can look at the queue from the housedoor. The street is not quiet, lots of traffic during the night. Rudy and Claudia like to make your stay a perfect stay and give you all the information you want. The kitchen gave us extra room not only for breakfast. We had a pleasant stay !

The hotel is located very well, we found it easily as we had used google map, it's not a long way from the metro station. THe room was exactly the one from the photo. It was warm, though the weather was not very nice. Rudi and Claudia were extremely helpful and hospitable providing with all necessary information and help. The bathroom was big enough containing a shower, bidet and toilet, the water always hot enough and good pressure. It was great to be able to use the kitchen. We shared it with neighbours, but we practically didn't see them.WE would certainly recommend this hotel to other travellers as having good balance of price and quality. Andrey. Swetlana.

Right across the road from the Vatican museum, close to metro and buses going to all the historic landmarks. Owners Rudy and Claudia went out of their way to make sure our stay was perfect, and it was. They were incredibly helpful, accomodating, and a pleasure to speak with. Breakfasts are fresh and filling, and you get use of full kitchen and shared fridge. There are wifi signals across the street and around the corner on the steps. The room we had was certainly not the most spacious or beautiful that you could find, but it was spotlessly clean, the bed was comfortable, and we had a great night's sleep every night; the private in-room bathroom a definite plus. I would enthusiastically recommend this B&B.

Wonderful hosts, a young couple, who were conscientious and organised. They gave us lots of information about transport, restaurants, shopping, sightseeing etc when we first arrived to help us enjoy our stay. Opposite the Vatican Museum is a safe and central place to be. Access to all sites is close by. Room was kept clean and the use of a good size kitchen was wonderful. Found the markets at the end of our stay - great food etc at good prices. Ask Rudi how to get there!

I was going to rate this B&B really high, until the last night when we were viciously attacked by bed bugs. The first 3 nights were trouble-free. My guess is that the owner forgot to spray the bed on the last night we were there. So I am concerned about the potential safety/health issues associated with the bug spray used on our bed. It would have been a perfect stay for us, if it wasn't for the bed bugs. The B&B would offer great value for overall service. Breakfast was packaged and had reasonable varieties, although everything was a little too sugary to my taste. The room was decent size by European standards. Location was convenient -- right across from the Vatican and 5-10 minutes walk to buses and a metro station. The owner was super-friendly and helpful. I just hope that he could rid off the bed bug problem soon, and then it would be perfect.

An excellent location for visiting the Vatican and St. Peter's Basilica. It’s near (2 min.) from metro station and bus stops which provides communication with other parts of Rome center. Very helpful, friendly and open owners (Rudi and Claudia) who provided us information about visit to Rome (public transport, recommended cheap restaurants, markets). Rudi speak english very well. The rooms were very clean, kitchen enough for us. The breakfast was very good for us. I recommend this B&B.

Bed and Breakfast Vatican Museum is excellent value for money. It is easy to find located across the street from the entrance to the Vatican Museum and a short walk from St Peter's Basilica. Breakfast consists of prepacked croissants and rolls but there is a very reasonable supermarked just around the corner if you need anything else. It was very convenient to be able to use the kitchen at any time. The owners Claudia and Rudi were very welcoming and helpful, on arrival they gave us maps and informaion, answered all our questions and recommended restaurants where we would not be ripped off. One night we were too tired to walk very far so ate near St Peter's and did get ripped off..check the price of everything you order especially wine! I would reccomed this accommodation and would stay there again.

I could never expect to find a B&B in Rome like this! The holders were so helpful that they told us everything about the city, the surroundings and even the next place we were going to visit! The room we stayed is along the street so there was a little noisy during the night, but we were not care about it. The breakfast was not rich but enough for us. They have a large kicthen which have almost everything that you want to do your cooking.

Rudi and Claudia were wonderfully welcoming and this is the most perfect location for the Vatican City. However, the room was absolutely baking hot (in August) and they do not have air conditioning. There was a room fan but it was not powerful enough to cool things down. At one point, I opened the door to the outside to try and get some fresher cooler air and Claudia told me I had to keep it closed. The breakfast was disappointing, pre-packaged danishes and some bread and jam and yoghurt but nothing fresh. However, the location can't be beat.

About 1/2 level below street level. Modern, clean, good size with private bath and washroom. Kitchen and breakfast area is provided separately for guests (there are only 2 rooms in that level so you only have to share it with another guest). Food is not allowed in the room and you have to do your own clean up if you use the kitchen/breakfast room. Television is provided in each room and the Breakfast area. Location: conveniently located right accross the entrance of the Vatican Museum. From the Metro train terminal, the nearest route to the B&B is through the Ciprio/Musei Vaticani stop. This route is convenient if you don't have any luggage as there is a stairs to climb (around 50 to 60 steps). If you have luggages, the best stop is Ottaviano/San Pietro stop, a little longer walk but no stairs to climb. Cash Only payment. Transpo to the Fiumicino/Leonardo Da Vinci Airport - A limousine service is available for 30 euros plus tip (just advise the owners, Rudy and Claudia) if you're interested). We found it reasonable as we had 3 small but heavy luggages otherwise the Metro train is still okay.

Good choice, if you don't want an expensive hotel in rome - brilliant location, nice people. From outside it doesn't look very welcoming, but inside Rudi and Claudia did their best to make it comfortable! Although it was a small room with a soft french bed (1,40 or 1,60m for 2 people?) and with a window to the street, it was warm, comfortable and clean! If you don't want to spend so much money in accomodation, its the perfect choice for a b&b!

An excellent location for visiting the Vatican and St. Peter's Basilica. The facility was very clean and private. There are several restuarants within a short walking distance. Bus service to other landmarks is quite reliable and inexpensive. The owners were very nice and helpful in guiding us to reputable restuarants and other establishments to ensure we were not taken advantage of. They also reserved a taxi for our departure to the airport at a very reasonable price. This was far less than other people paid for the same distance. I would definately recommend it to budget minding people and would not hesitate to stay there again.

If you are looking for a convenient and safe location near the Vatican and the Vatican Museums, this B&B cannot be beaten. Rudi was very helpful in arranging a car to the airport. There is a full kitchen available for guests. It is located just across the street from the entrance to the museum, so there is a lot of street traffic. The only drawback would be a lact of air conditioning in the summer, but in October we were very comfortable. We stayed 2 nights. Rudi recommended an excellent, non-touristy restaurant-- La Tavernetta.

We stayed 2 nights. The staff/owner was incredible friendly, helpful and welcoming (we get free postcards, a town-map and tipps for restaurants and city-tours from them and of course a quick orange-juice-drink because we arrived by motorbike and it was very warm). The location is few metres from the vatican museum therefore very easy to find. The room was very small but functional and - in fact: who wants to stay in his room when he ist in Rome? The kitchen is functional, clean and you can make a good breakfast of your own (the Italien stuff is there) because you can use the fridge. The room has no climatronic which is less well when you stay longer than few days. But look on the price! We are looking forward to come again, perfect location for a short stay in Rome. Highly recommended!

Myself and my girlfriend thoroughly enjoyed a 5-night stay at the Vatican Bed & Breakfast. Shortly before our stay, we received a confirmation e-mail asking of our arrival time, and also giving the link to the lodgings website. This had great directions on but it really IS right in front of the entrance to the Vatican Museums! On arrival, we were warmly greeted and shown round the communal kitchen facilities, pointed to the local amenities and given maps and local information for places to visit and eat. The room was of a good size, comfortable and the bathroom was also clean and functional. As others have mentioned, breakfast was very convenient being a make-it-yourself affair: bread, cereal, tea, coffee, juice and cakes all available as well as the use of cupboards and fridge should you wish to purchase anything from either of the 2 supermarkets, both within a 2-minute walk. Overall, a great place to stay - close enough to walk over the river to ancient Rome, else the Metro service is only a 5-minute walk! Don't be put-off by the comments about noise; yes, the road is relatively busy, but so is the rest of Rome. Watch out for the scooters!

Minuses: in common bath, one must mop up after a shower as water is not contained in the shower stall; kitchen is small (hotplate, fridge, etc.) and for small meals only; common area is essentially just the kitchen which one reaches immediately on entry to the establishment; outside noise (passersby, traffic, idling scooters) may bother light sleepers. Breakfast items are provided (cornetti, cakes, etc.) along with make-it-yourself coffee. Plusses: wonderful, friendly, helpful staff (Rudi & Claudia, a young couple); superb location directly across street from entrance to Vatican Museums, 2 blocks or so from Metro entrance, walking distance from Pantheon, Forum, etc.; bedrooms are reasonably large and very clean. A superb value. We will stay here again on our next trip to Rome. Very highly recommended.

We were surprised at the size of the B ans B. When you walked in through the front door, you were already in the common area and kitchen, which was very small. There was a small table, a few maps, a small fridge, hotplate, and a few shelves to store your own food. Do not count on a breakfast. If you want to make your own coffee on a hotplate and pot, and dig through the small fridge for some stale bread and old Nutella to spread on it, that's about all that is provided. The hosts were nice enough, but never around. But when they were, they were pretty6 helpful. The rooms are very small (as many are in Europe). But I had to step over my medium sized suitcase to get around the bed to get tto the bathroom. Bathroom was ok. A mop was provided for post-shower clean up. Don't expect your bed to be made or new towels after you have used them. We were in a busy area, and I realize it was on a busy steet. But do not stay here if you are a light sleeper. There were cars, buses and scooters (not to mention people) right out side our window. It's a good place to 'crash', but for the price, you can find better options.
