Bed and Breakfast Vale & Vale - Rome

Vale & Vale is located a bit off the beaten path, but we were able to get around well enough using the bus system. Valentina is a very nice lady, but she doesn't speak much English, so you'll end up speaking to her daughter over the phone when you have questions.

We had a lovely three-night stay. Our hostess was very gracious and the breakfast each morning was quite nice. The location was excellent for walking to the Vatican for the museum tour. Neighborhood restaurants were also enjoyable. Our hostess is not fluent in English and we did not speak Italian, but we were able to work around that. Her daughter is fluent in English and is available as needed. All in all it was a very nice choice and we would enjoy going there again.

We were very happy with both the accommodations and the service. Valentina went above and beyond our expectations and we would highly recommend this b and b to our friends and return in the future.

This property was a real gem. It was a two bedroom apartment in a quiet residential area only eight hundred yards from St. Peters. As a party of three, we therefore had sole use of the premises including the comfortable lounge and could treat the apartment as our own. The proprietor attended each morning to arrange breakfast and gave excellent advice about transport options and local dining facilities - which did not disappoint. As a habitual user of four star hotels, this B&B was a refreshing experience - like owning your own apartment in central Rome. We have already recommended it to friends.

Valentina was an exceptional hostess. Provided daily and valuable information about Rome and places to eat for reasonable prices. Loved the area of the B&B, because it was outside of any "tourist" side of the city. Wonderdful people in the neighbourhood; always greeting us. We really enjoyed our stay and were sorry to leave.

Ms. Valentina Margherite impressed me with her honesty and efficiency from my first e-mail communication with her to the end of our stay. She patiently answered all my questions so by the time we finally met, I felt that I knew her rather well. My family and I have the highest respect for her and deeply appreciate her outstanding service to us. Her professionalism contributed to making our Rome visit just perfect. The apartment was exactly what she had described. In it, we felt at home -- safe, relaxed and comfortable. She provided us with excellent suggestions regarding touring Rome, bus transportation, grocery shopping and good places to eat. In addition, she contracted for us safe, punctual, fairly priced transfer services. We couldn't be more pleased. My family and I highly recommend Vale & Vale. On future trips to Rome, we certainly will call on Ms. Margherite to arrange room accommodations and transportation for us.

We enjoyed the stay at Vale & Vale tremendously. The B&B is just beautiful with a fantastic view. You can see St Peters Basillica from the balcony in their living room. The room my friend and I shared was well laid out and although we had to change rooms towards the end of our stay, even this was well organised by our hosts. Valeria and Valentina were very accomodating with Valentina speaking English. Valeria does not speak English, but does speak French and obviously Italian so hopefully that can accomodate you. They really are 10 minutes away from the Vatican and Castel Sant'Angelo with bus 70 right around the corner. Do not be afraid to use the bus as this bus travels to the part of the city that does not have a metro service. I am very glad that we found this little B&B as it enhanced the trip to Rome. Highly recommended.

One Lady speaks only Italian, but very friendly. Breakfast is ok, but nothing special. One Room has 2 Beds and the other 1 big Bed.

Accueil de qualité. Repos au calme. Localisation interessante et accès facile aux transports urbains. Decoration recherchée. Tres belle table de petit dejeuner mais perfectible au niveau des aliments présentés.

Vale and Vale B&B kept what it promised. Located in the north of the Vatikan, public transportation takes you quickly to any place in Rome (bus and Metro). Tickets for sight seeing busses are available at Vale and Vale, which is very helpful for those staying only one or two days. Suggestions for places to go, especially for restaurants are really recommendable. I already recommended this place to friends and colleagues.

Hosts are very nice, and live on site but smoke so the flat generally smells of smoke. Wonderful view of St Peter's from balcony.

We had a wonderful time at Vale & Vale. Although I thought at first this bed and breakfast was a little bit too much out of the central roman areas, we noticed that the location was really good (from our terrace we even saw the Vatican!). There are also some really good Roman tratorias and osterias in the area where few tourists and a lot of Romans are spending their joyful moments...

We send our parents to V& V and they were very happy with everything, the place, the staff, the room. We really recommend it, very familiar and friendly.

The vales were very accomodating hosts,so much so that we plan to return to them.a true roman experience

We had a very pleasant stay at the Vale&Vale B&B. Both ladies are very friendly and helpfull they made us feel right at home.The busstop is just in front of Vale&Vale, so the City centre is only 5 to 10 minutes away.If you want to get to know Rome and it's people, staying at Vale&Vale is a good start!

Nice place with a nice italian old Lady

Vale&Vale is far beyond ordinary 3-star hotel. The room with private bath (with bathtub!) is very clean and beautiful. The building locate a few step from the nearest bus stop, and you can easily get to the Termini station, Vatican and other major sightseeing spots. I really enjoyed my stay in this B&B. If you are looking for some place with cozy and familiar atmosphere, I definitely recommend this B&B. It's really value for money.
