Bed and Breakfast Tropical - Rome

This B&B is located within a few minutes walk from Termini Railstation. There are several restaurants in the neighbourhood. We had a few good meals at "Grotta Azurra", which is just around the corner.

Our experience at this B&B was very good, except for the noise on the street. The owner was very welcoming and attentive to our needs. The location near the Statione Termini was very convenient for visiting Rome's sites by bus, Metro and train.

This B&B is great and they speak good English It is within 300mtrs of Train,Metro,Busses & taxis also with easy walking distances to most popalar sites in Rome. When I return to Rome I will have no problems staying there again

Looking for a clean and comfortable place to stay in Rome near the Termini station, look no further. Emily is so very helpful and her breakfast is really substantial. The shower is however very tiny and larger people may struggle to get in and out. Earplugs are a MUST as there is a lot of traffic noise. Great value for those on a tight budget!

Great Location to Termini, Emily was a friendly and helpful hostess. Very clean and accommodating. I would highly recommend this B&B to people on a budget, it is a great value!! If we ever get back, we will stay there again.

Overall a well-furnished, clean and quiet B&B with an excellent location. It's just 5 minute's walk away from the busy Termini station, but the hotel surroundings made us feel safe regardless.

We had a very pleasant stay at B&B Tropical. Situated very near the Termini Station, which is an advantage if you use public transportation (example - airport busshuttles leave on the corner of the street). Room was spacious and clean. The only disadvantage is the noise of the street: it is quite busy. Since we are used to sleeping in worse places, we always bring our own earplugs and had no problem. Common spaces are clean and OK, like the bathroom, maybe a bit outdated. Hosts are very helpful and friendly. Would definitely recommend people to stay in this B&B in Rome: it's worth the price.

The couple that run the Tropical made us feel very welcome. Our room was in the next door building and Emily and Marco helped carry our bags to our room. It looked onto a courtyard, so it was very quiet. The place was spotless, and the location next to the Termini was ideal for using public transportation. I contacted Emily before we arrived and she purchased gluten free crackers and cooked a special breakfast to accommodate my gluten free, casein free diet. She is an extremely kind and helpful person. We would highly recommend the Tropical for anyone who is looking for a bed and breakfast in Rome.

We really liked this hotel. We were charmed by the hospitality of Emily and Mark. Tropical is located about 150 meters from the Termini Station and the subway and is very convenient for visiting sightseengs by transport or by foot. Emily done everything to make our stay in Rome without problems. She gave us a map of Rome, showed and explained what and where we can see and how to get there. Also advised where we can cheap and tasty to eat. Rooms was very clean and perfect decorated. Very tasty breakfasts and flavored coffee every morning. It was wonderful week in Rome. This was a great bed and breakfast for the price and location. The host was helpful and pleasant to talk to. The breakfast was satisfying and location was within 10 minutes of the station. I would recommend this place to anybody staying in Rome.

We visited B and B Tropical and we remained fascinated by Emily. Tropical Is located next to the Termini station and the subway, it’s very comfortable to visit St. Peter-Vatican, Squares Del Popolo and Spain,The Colosseum. Emily is very heartly and did everything to make our stay in Rome without a problem. She gave us a map of Rome, showed our comfortable buses, subway. Emily searched in the Internet for Fiumicino airport bus. The apartment was very clean and well decorated. In the morning for breakfast, Emily had the table full of various foods, juices and coffee according to the taste of everyone Leaving Tropical, we had to go around all day sightseeing with our backpacks. Emily offered to leave our backpacks in Tropical, which was a huge gesture to us. We spent another wonderful day in Rome. Thank you, Emily! You're amazing! Emily & Marco were very welcoming and helpful. They provided information regarding sightseeing. Rooms were immaculately cleaned. Bedding changed throughout week, as were towels. Excellent breakfast daily. Emily makes coffee and cappuccino per your request. Emily is very engaging and social and works very hard to make your visit positive! When you leave before breakfast hours in the morning for sightseeing she puts out food for you the night before so you can go in early to eat. I would/have recommend this B & B to anyone going to Rome. Location is ideal...5 minute walk to main termini and Metro! Restaurants and groceries available. Kitchen for your use.

Host, Emily, and her family very friendly and helpful. Good continental breakfast each morning. We stayed in a spacious room, with nice decor, though not the most comfortable bed and no english language TV channels. Shared bathroom clean but dated. No noise from other guests but traffic noise from the street very loud both day and night. This was probably the main negative about this property.

Our stay in Tropical B&B was very good. Hosts are very welcome and supportive, even in spite of our quite late comming they were there and waiting for us. I would recommend it to everyone who would like to have cheap and convinient B&B in Roma. 5 min walk from main train and bus station. The only problem I would rise - it's rather cold in rooms. It was not a problem for me, but it was problem for my wife. She likes to have much wormer. But, I've heard it's usual situation for Roma and for Europe in genereal during winter period.

First of all, Emily and Marco were awesome hosts! The room was very clean and comfortable and the breakfast was excellent. We felt very welcome and our stay at the B&B was memorable. If we return to Rome we'll definitely like to choose B&B Tropical again. The noise on the street was quite loud, because it is a very busy street, but it didn't distract our sleep. I will surely recommend this B&B to my friends!

The location is probably the best feature of B&B Tropical. The neighborhood is relatively un-touristy, considering that it's right next to Termini. It's also very safe to walk around at night. Our room looked out on a busy street. There were cars and loud motorcycles driving by constantly, except for maybe between 3-5 AM. We live in a major city in the U.S. so we're used to noise, but this was even noisier than our home neighborhood. The room was quieter with the window closed, but we got too hot to sleep when we closed the window. I would recommend bringing earplugs! Breakfast was great. Emily is very welcoming and helpful.

Went for a short city break with my husband, accommodation very close to Termini for bus/train links, five minutes walk - if that. Emily and Marco are extremely helpful, giving local information regarding getting to places etc. One word of warning with regard to the surrounding area - don't use the latin american restaurant situated on the same road as Tropical, in the direction of the station - food absolutely rubbish (mine was cold and I left most of it), staff and cleanliness leave ALOT to be desired. Supermarket at the Termini and Emily is only too happy to let you use her kitchen. Tropical is situated on a very busy street so it is rather noisy but all in all I would recommend this place to stay, as I don't think you could find anything near as good in any other city for the money, and we have stayed in quite a few other European cities. The guests were of a very mixed age group, this place seems to suit everyone.

Emily and Marcos were wonderful hosts! They really wanted all of their guests to have an excellenet time in Rome. We enjoyed our breakfasts with them in the mornings, and the ability to cook a little something after a long day of sight seeing. We would highly recommend their B&B to anyone wishing to visit Rome.
