We`ve been in this hotel during 2 nights with my mother. Location is perfect, but from my point of view the price for this hotel during this period could be lower.

The room was very small. It was very clean which helped. It would have been nice to have WIFI. Tomas and his assistant were very helpful and nice which made up for the small room. This was my first time to Rome and I think I would stay there again.

The location to the Vatican was excellent. It was good to be on the metro doorstep to visit other places. The welcome and service was warm and very helpful. Wonderful breakfast, also a great pizzaria two doors away!As I was in Rome for the beatification of Pope JP2, the price was probably higher than usual. I would really recommend this BB to you!

The only negative was that the bathroom for our room was down the hall past the breakfast area, however it was private. The young man who took care of us was very helpful and nice.

Friendly and Helpful staff. Very clean rooms. Small rooms make very good use of space. I found the rooms really charming. The rooms face a courtyard instead of the street and are quiet. Neighborhood has lots of cafes, is close to the Vatican museums and a Metro stop. I would definitely stay here again.

We are a young couple and stayed at Tomas B&B for 7 nights in July. The location is unbeatable, a few minutes walk to St. Peter's Square, and a metro station on the doorstep. Our double room was spacious and clean, with a very good private bathroom, and there was more than enough room for our luggage. The manager was very friendly and helpful, nothing was too much trouble for him. Breakfast was okay, usually a cornetti or brioche, biscuits, orange juice and coffee. There is also a fridge in the kitchen for guest use (useful for picnics!) The only downside to this B&B was the lack of air conditioning, and so in July it was very hot in the room, although it was sleepable (and a fan is provided). Would definitely recommend this Bed and Breakfast.

The manager at Tomas, Colin, was very helpful and friendly. He served breakfast in the morning and helped with all of our needs. The room was very small for my family and the bathroom was 'tempermental'. The location was perfect for those who want to be 2 blocks from the Vatican and about 10 feet from the Metro station there. There were plenty of restaurants nearby with reasonable prices. Overall, a good experience.

My friend and I booked two rooms. My friend had booked a double room having been told that her bathroom was 15 steps down a corridor. It was but she had to walk through the breakfast room to get there. This made her feel very uncomfortable. My room was very small and basic but it was very clean and was acceptable for the price paid. The real downside was that the shower was freezing. There was a young man who worked there, called Kalim I think, and he was really polite and helpful, nothing was too much trouble for him.

Tomas is located in one of the local shopping street, which means you can buy everything you need with comparable low price. while since tomas is so close to Vatican, you can walk less than 5 min to go there, plus the subway station is 1 min away, it's great place to live for travelers. another thing my husband likes the most of Tomas is that even it's located in shopping street, it's very very quiet at night. As other people mentioned in this website, Tomas B&B gives your privacy by offering your own bathroom which is special for B&B in Rome. the breakfast is good and big, toast with butter and jams, croissant, chocolate croissant, yogurt, coffee, tea, juice. Eat outside Tomas is good too, you may drop into some really local restaurant downstairs of Tomas, with no waiter speaks English, but the food is great, at least it's the place where romans go. but most times waiters speak english. The persons working in Tomas speak english, and they always give us information for travel in Rome, also you can get some free tickets or discount tickets to some gallery if you book directly from Tomas, plus it's cheaper to book directly.

This hotel was excellent. It is about 15 steps from the metro and about a 5 minute walk from the vatican. There are lots of cafes in the area as well as an internet cafe, grocery store and pharmacy. It takes about 5 minutes on the Subway to get to the Spanish steps and about 10 minutes to get the the Colloseum. I will definately stay at this B&B the next time I am in Rome. Fabulous Value!

On arrival at Tomas we were told we would be staying at a flat, a 10 minute tram ride away. This was not a location we had chosen and the accommodation was of poor quality: not very clean, plumbing and appliances in poor condition and the room was hot and noisy. Breakfast was a 10 minute tram ride which we didn't take up but had paid for as it was very inconvenient. When the electric fan in the room, the only means of cooling, broke down we rang the owner who, although pleasant on the phone, did nothing and did not contact us again. The room was not cleaned at all during our stay. We were never informed at the time of booking that we were going to be staying in another location although it would have been easy to email us with this information.

I had a very good experience with Tomas. I felt very safe there. I received a warm welcome and the staff was very helpful with any questions I had about Rome. The breakfast was also very good, and much better than what is served in most B&Bs in Rome. Some might think the location is not favorable since it is not situated close to many attractions (with exception of the Vatican), but for me this was okay since I preferred to be in a neighborhood with fewer tourists. Also, the Ottaviano metro stop is located very close to the B&B which was very convenient. The only problem I had was with the shower...the water was either very, very hot or very cold, with no in between temperature. Also, the size of my room (single) was a lot smaller than I was anticipating, but I quickly became accustomed to it. These few things aside, I would stay at Tomas again and I would also recommend it to friends and anyone else going to Rome who is looking for a safe, quiet, and friendly place to stay.

This is a very convieniently located place to stay. The bathroom and sleeping room is small but being 6'1" didn't pose any serious problems. Three of us shared a triple just for an overnight visit. If we had luggage, it would ahve been a challenge to fit everything. I would consider staying here again mainly for the location, not the amenities. Can't comment on b'fast since we were out before 8am. Owner wanted payment in cash, but reluctantly accepted credit card.

The place was nice (I recommend this place). There was a TV in your room, and you have your private bath room. The problem I found is about the hot water, after some time the water became cold again. I did not why this happened. Another thing is that I used Venere discount code, but the owner said that Venere told him the discount was not available. The discount I should get was around 5 Euros. Personally, there is no problem for me as the quality of the service was good and I was satisfied.

The lodging is a flat in a backyard house. The room we had was big, clean and very quiet. The breakfast is good, with very good coffee. People are nice and helpful. The area is near to the Vatican, not so central but also nice and not so much touristic. Some metres from the house is a stop of the underground, so that you are in the town's centre in some minutes. This lodging helped us to have a nice and relaxed stay in Rome.

This accommodation is excellent - would highly recommend it to anyone looking for good, reasonably priced accommodation in the centre of Rome. For location it couldn't better, perfectly located for those who want to be in the Vaticano district, literally only a five minute walk from St. Peter's Square, about three minutes from Vatican Museum but all other attractions of Rome, Colosseum, Trevi Fountain, Forum, etc. are within easy reach. Rooms are small but scrupulously clean and owners were helpful and friendly. Each room has a bathroom for private use - rare in Rome B & B's - but do take a bathrobe as bathrooms are private but not en-suite. Metro is only a few steps from the door making the property easy to get to from the airport and also useful for those wishing to travel to other parts of the city by metro. If we return to Rome we would certainly stay at the Tomas again.
