Accueil chaleureux.

The owner of this B&B uses a room of condo as guest rooms (3 separate rooms). For this reason, it was a little bit difficut to find out the B&B. The first contact with the owner is really important, so the user of this B&B must correctly keep check-in time, otherwise they can not receive the keys. On the other hand, this B&B was very safe and quiet, and locates very close to a metro station. The owner and his wife were friendly and kind enouh to provide us necessary information (supermarket and restaurant near B&B) and kindly booked a restaurant in Rome. Both of them spoke English. The room was comfortable, but a bed was a little bit too soft for us. The small refrigerator was available in our room and owner provided us an electric kettle according our reqest. Both of them were useful for us to prepare breakfast and tea. The provided breakfast was poor (but better than nothing). we recommend the user of this B&B to buy something in the near supermarket. Unfortunately, the cooking room was not available during night time even though the room equip a lot of material to support cooking such as forks, knives, wine opener and stove burner. In conclusion, we recommend this B&B especially to single travellers and young couples and if we have a chance to visit Rome again, we will use the B&B again without a doubt.

the rooms were great! Wish there were alarm clocks in the rooms but one was provided when we requested one. The owners did not live there so they were not always available for advice and there were no common areas to relax in.The area was not bad and was quiet and we were less than a block from the subway. All in all a very nice place that I would recommend and return to! GRAZIE TESTA GIOACCHINO!

First time in Rome and in a B&B. We were looking for a nice but cheap place and luckily found one. It’s really close to Monti Tiburtina metro station, so it’s easy to move around the city. The B&B is a little hard to find. It’s located in a residential building and there is no indication. The neighbors have no idea where it is. Good bed and a nice shower. The room is very quiet. The breakfast is poor, we didn't bother taking it. There is a little market nearby and it’s a good idea to buy some water, juice and something to eat and put it in the refrigerator (in the room). The room has a TV, but the channels are all in Italian, so it’s hard to know what is happening around the world.

We spent seven days in Rome and if we'll come back it's possible that we'll choose again this B&B. That´s a very good choice regarding to the prices in Rome's hotels. The breakfast is not so good, but you can easily go to a near supermarket, buy some bread and make your own. The B&B has metro station just across the road and if you have to come back later than 23.30 you just have to pay some 15€ for a taxi. Gioacchino and his wife make you feel welcome.

The B&B is a little far from the center of Rome but is well served by the underground and the stations is really near. The single room (with two beds) is little, but clean like the shared bath. The people are kind.

This B&B isn't very large, but it's right across a Subway-station, so it's a great place to stay if you want to explore Rome!! We would defenitely come back here again!

Very nice, very quiet place Poor breakfast, but...italian. A very kind host, he wait for us very late in the night. A very good advantage for those who want to visit Rome until late hours: - is at one minut distance from the metro station. Room and bath very clean, every day, with almost all necesary things. If you are insomniac, TV won't help you. Few programs, too many comercials.

The main problem was the absence of the owner when problems had to be solved. He stays there for few hours a day. Cleaningness also: although looking clean overall, there was hair and dust in the bedroom an mould in the bathroom. May be cheap for Rome, but not worth the cost.

- The bathroom is more inside the room than in a seperate room - not that comfortable - walls are thin - sometimes a little loud - breakfast is small, but it's the usual size of an italian breakfast => everything else (public transportation access, the room, the surroundings, the service etc.) was excellent. Thank You!

Solo all'arrivo ho avuto qualche difficoltà a indovinare la via giusta.

The B&B was OK. Close to the city centre, and tourist atractions. The sorroundings were ok, but I think the breakfast offered could be improved a little bit. The owners were really kind and helpful providing orientation about dealing with transport, security. Overall, I recommend the place.

A reasonably priced, clean and quiet b&b close to the metro for easy access to central Rome - 5 stops. Located in low-rise flats behind main street,a little difficult to find initially. Welcoming owners. Breakfast not available before 8am.

The best - the metro station is 1 minute away walking (realy)! The worst - air conditioned not working (we had luck, these were not hot days) and a tricky shower - you have to keep trying to have hot water, it's useless to let the water flow indefinetly. It was a bedroom with bathroom, but you can only use the bathroom/closet with the doors open (vey small but nice).

Testa was a very nice surprice, it was better than it seemes on the internet-sight! We were very pleased with our stay... the host was very nice and helpful and friendly and we felt very welcome in Rome. The only thing thats negative is that it is a bit far from the center of Rome: with Metro it is excellent, a quick trip for 10 minutes, but if you miss the last train at 23.30, you are a little bit lost. We found the bus to Tiburtini st. (492 I think it was, from largo Argentina) and then took a cab in ten minutes for 10 euro, but it was a long ride, and suddenly it was obviuos to us that Testa is located in the suburbia. But over all: A very nice stay at very nice people! Recommended!

We had a very pleasant stay at Testa. Mr. Gianchhino was very helpful, eventhough we arrived early from Venezia at 8 am, he tried to accomodate us, helped us with things & places to see. Rooms were very comfortable and spacious. Our only complaint was that the water heating for the shower in the bathroom was spotty at times.

To whom it concerns, The landlord waited up for us despite our flight being 2 hours delayed. We actually arrived at 2-30 in the morning. Most things that were advertised were correct, but we were surprised that no cups, saucers or cutlery were available, but on request he provided us with these items. The kitchen was locked after breakfast and generally was not accessable to anyone until the following mornings breakfast, so we could not make ourselves a drink in the evenings. the only other small complaint was that there was not a radio in the room which we missed very much. We do not speak Italian so the television was a waste of time.Overall though when he was there he and his wife were very helpful. The flat was literally 3 minutes walk from the metro station and then about 15 minutes to the centre of Rome.A word of warning though to all who read this, the metro closes at 10-30 in the evening and not 11-30 as printed in most English text books about Rome.We advise anybody who stays at Testa to check on the numbers of the buses and the times etc. etc. as we had one very bad experience trying to get back to the flat after 10-30. Otherwise all was satisfactory with the exception of one of the flat rules which states that you cannot leave your luggage in your room after checking out at 10a.m.

Fazit: immer wieder gerne!!!!!

The room and service was great, however the surrounding area was not what I expected. It was a converted apartment/b&b, so you could hear noise from the next room. The location was convenient being literally across the street from the metro.

On our first trip to Rome we did not know what to expect but our hosts were pleasant and helpful. Our room and the bathroom were clean and there was a tv. The location of the apartment was convenient because it was right by the train station but the surrounding area was residential and not exactly the Roman experience we had hoped for. We stayed in a more central area in Rome on our trip back. We spent 10EU more but there were more amenities like free internet, more services and was more centralized. I wish we had looked around more before booking but if you dont mind being away from the central area, its fine.

I would recommend Testa B&B to anybody wishing to stay in Rome on a budget. Don't let the budget part put you off though the quality of our room at least was fantastic. It was spacious with a couch, table and chairs, fridge, tv and stereo. There was no on suite bathroom in our room but the shared bathroom is very clean and seems to have been recently refurbished. The owners were very friendly even to us who arrived very late! They are also helpfull and provided a tourist map of rome free of charge. The location is a little outside Rome but is only 2 minutes walk from the metro station which brings you into central Rome in 10 minutes. We found it very easy to get to and from all the sights in Rome. I would definitely stay in Testa again.

The stay was wonderful for one night. The underground is near to the b&b, so the inner city ist easy to reach. The room was very clean and shared bathroom was better than expected! But the area around the b&b is not really nice: we were shocked at first sight! We were two girls (21! Nothing really happened to us but we were very careful and sometimes afraid of what may come behind the next corner! All in all, I would advice you to stay there when you don´t mind being 15 minutes away from the inner city!

We stayed in B&B and it was very nice stay. B&B was very friendly and gave us information and helped us where they could. The point public areas i mentioned with poor, cause the 3 rooms are in a flat, so there are no public rooms. So we ( my mother and I ) want to thank B&B for the friendly stay in ROMA.

The host went out of his way to give us information to find the B&B; even though we arrived later than expected, he was waiting for us and most welcoming. He and his wife were very knowledgeable and helpful on things to see and do and gave us lots of hints to assist our sightseeing. All in all we certainly enjoyed our stay at Testa Cioacchino, a most hospitable, welcoming and caring B&B, run by a charming, efficient couple.

We were well impressed with Testa Gioacchino. The cleanliness of the room and the shower room were very good. The room was comfortable and adequate for our stay (the owners had even provided an additional small bed for the little child that finally didn’t travel with us). The owners were very kind to us. The flat is isolated to noise outside it (and after 11 pm the guests should respect the silence). The flat is located two-minute‘s walk from the metro station Monti Tiburtini, much nearer as indicated on map (the location of this B&B isn’t very near the historical centre but it is very easy to explore Rome from Testa Gioacchino). This B&B offered us very good value for money and we would recommend it to anybody else.

We arrived late and were warmly welcomed by the owner. We were both very impressed with the cleanliness of the room and the shower room. The rooms were not massive, but were comfortable and more than adequate for our stay. The location was very quiet - we did not have any problems with noise inside or outside the flat - the owners stressed the need for quiet after 11.00pm which suited us. Breakfast was your typical continental offering - croissants and toast with as much coffee as you can drink. The flat was a minute;s walk from the nearest Metro station (Monti Tiburtino) across the road, which was ideal for exploring Rome. Overall, we thought Testa Gioacchino offered excellent value for money and would strongly recommend it to anybody else.

We think this place should be one guest house, not B&B or hotel. In addition, there's something wrong with the room door(Any one can open the door; it's not safe and privace-violated)The runner knows that, but he seemed to ignore it!

In the b@b there was air conditioned but it was not working. The owner said it was not included but in the net it was not written. He usually changes the sheets every week...but it's too much! We asked to have them changed before. He agreed with us.
