a bit far away of center of Rome. (You must take a bus -15min, then you must take a tube -20min) Otherwise the kitchen is so nice. You can cook everything with the local Roman materials. That was so nice for me and I enjoyed. This B&B has only two rooms. If you are a couple, it is very worth to book it. (I mean rather a long period. Not 1-2 Days.)

very noisy rooms, lot of airplanes, door incorrectly isolates sounds from the surroundings: you can hear all sounds from the public toilet that is near your room.... thin walls makes you hear sounds from other rooms... window partially broken and does not lock well, carpets dirty as a shoddy, breakfast "served" as milk and snacks from the worste discount and in boxes (you have to heat them from yourself in microwave outside the room), staff once did the cleaning of other rooms at midnight (you cannot sleep until 2 am). wi-fi not present in the room as shown in the presentation. ENORMOUS crack in the floor of our toilet, which hasn't also got a bidet. toilet and room weren't cleaned during uor stay, and they NEVER changed our towels!!!

There's everything you'll need, but nothing more. It's okay in relation to the price. I had a good time there - but you shouldn't expect a 5-star-hotel. When you arrive, don't forget to ask the owner for the WLAN-password, there's no information leaflet with this information anywhere in your room. The surroundings of the B&B's location are a bit poor, but originally Italian/Roman. I felt quite comfortable there, but that depends on your personality. However, it's near the centre of Rome, you can reach the main station (Termini) in about half an hour by bus and subway. Also, I felt quite safe in my room, everything was untouched when I came home in the evenings. Nobody had touched my things, which is a thing I liked. Therefore, you won't need to fear that any of your stuff might 'dissappear'. The owners are a nice Italian-German couple who live two floors above the B&B. And one last thing: The B&B is a bit tricky to find. Go to the adress, then have a careful look at the different doorbells. After you rung and got into the building, go up to the sixth floor in 'Scala B' - there you'll find the B&B and probably the owner(s) waiting in front of its door. All in all: It's okay, especially in relation to the price. I can recommend it.

Everything was ok, only thing is that it is distant 4 bus stations from tiburtina, not one bus station. SpeedyBad itself was fine, but the location is not so great.

It was very difficult to find, and the owner did not ever come to greet us herself, so if you don't speak Italian it can be stressful. A worker who spoke English came later to talk to us, but checking in was rather difficult.

Stayed at Speedybed for 4 nights & it was a great place to stay. You're essentially renting an apartment in a building turned into a "bed and breakfast" by the owners. This is cool though, because you get to experience living in a true Italian neighbourhood, as there are no tourists in this area. "Breakfast" is espresso, juice and crackers/muffin type things.. not great, but will hold you until you get some lunch. Fantastic Italian restaurant around the corner, ate there twice- awesome food and service. Location is not bad either. One bus until you're at the metro and from there you can get anywhere you want. You don't have to wait long for buses at all-- great bus service in this city! Overall, good place to stay.

The neighborhood was very quiet and shut down about 8:00, even on the weekend. It would have been hard to find but people were very kind and showed us exactly where it was. It was easy to get around the city since the bus and metro were so close. It was a typical European B&B with pastries for breakfast, but you had to eat in your room. There was no public place to sit and eat.

Angelique was very helpfull and the room was correct. The neighbours upstairs were a little noisy, but after having visited Rome for the whole day,we were so tired that it didn't keep us awake.Traveling by bus and metro was rather comic, you'd better not suffer from claustrophobia! Rome is a splendid city and we'll certainly come back one day.And why not to Speedybed again ?

The room had three beds instead of just double bed, which was fine and we also had a kitchen and could cook over there. However, we got slightly warm or cold water in the shower and taking into account that it was raining and was cold whilst we were in Rome, that is the reason I would not go back.

This was our first visit to Rome and we traveled with low budget. The B&B offered exactly what we needed: a reasonable price, a bed, a bathroom and some breakfast. Angelique, the owner, was very kind. She helped us a lot with tips about Rome, provided us with a tourist map and breakfast every morning :) The only disadvantage in my opinion is the distance from the city center (5 bus stops til the nearest metro station and 6 metro stops til the Colloseum or 9 metro stops til Vatican). But the stations are really close so you need maximum 30 minutes to reach your destination. All in all we enjoyed our stay at Speedybed B&b and we would go there again if we would go to Rome again. Thank you Angelique :)

Angelique is so friendly and helpful. The accomodation is one of the room in the apartment. The location is bit far away from the Rome city centre. But once you get used to it, it wou't be problem. Quitness totally depends on the flat mate. It was noisy when the people in the next room were party people. One only thing I got annoyed was the people in the next room. Except that, I was happy about my stay.

Hi: Room located in a quiet place, not far away from the metro station. It's not the same place that we saw in the web, but we didn't mind. We just wanted a place we might sleep and use the bathroom. Good relationship between price/quality. A recommended place if you don't mind to be far away from the center of Rome. Good luck for all!!

Kitchen needs curtain on the window (against sunshine).Too much noise comes from neighbouring rooms not because of co-tenants' behaviour, but for poor isolation of walls.(this makes quietness 5 )Toilet needs repair: functioning of water makes unusual big noise (pipes' resonance?), I mean not the normal noise. I travelled with my sister,7o.

I was travelling with my mom and had 4 nights in Speedy Bed. Everything was without any problems. The staff (Angelique) was very helpful, she has offered us a map of Rome and explaned everything. She speaks English perfectly. We were there in October, and air conditioner wasn't necessary. The location is not in the city center, but the bus goes every 6 minutes and prices in this district were much better than in the center. We really enjoyed our stay there.

Speed bed is very good if, like me, you just want a good, non luxurious and clening place for resting and having a good shower after walking, walking and walking around Rome. You will be near the center but you do need use bus transportation to move, bus and metro. You will Know the real suburban Roman life. My main advice is take care about the bus transportation to the airpoirt when you are coming back. They are not organized, they don't open the bus trunck and they fill the vehicule with people (standing up also). There is no waranty you will take the buss even if you are there on time. Be early. Good luck.

We stayed in Rome for 5 days. We did not know any Italian. Regardless the local people were very helpful and patient with us. We loved the speedy bed. The only thing is that it was too quiet. Next time we will stay in the city center and be able to mingle with more English speeking people. Over all the stay was great! Also very easy to commute from...bus..metro ect..very easy even for us hobby farmers from Alberta, Canada.

It was in a great location, outside the busy parts, but close and easy to get to from metro station. Also had a supermarket 2 min from the B&B which was very handy. WE did get lost on the way there, because the map is not completley correct, but they were very nice and picked us up. Overall our stay was great, I would recommend it to all.

Speedy Bed is a good choise, rooms are clean and quite nice and it´s not expensive. It was a room in the flat, so there was a kitchen available and we shared bathroom only with another room. The staff was very friendly and everything was ok. Maybe it´s quite far from the centre as we had supposed it would be, it´s necessary to take a bus from the metro station Tiburtina, but the bus is quite frequet, so it´s not such a big problem, we can recommend it.

The Roma was wonderful, at the beginning we had to adapt to internal tourism, because we are from small city, but after that we enjoyed it. We visited a lot of beautiful places like Colosseum, Fontana di Trevi, Forum Romanum, Pantheon, Castel Sant Angelo, Citta del Vaticano, Piazza del Popolo, Piazza del Spagna, and many others. Poelpe are very friendly and it is easily make understood by English language.

Speedy Bed was not really what we were expecting. It was hard to find since it is just a 2bdr. apartment in a building with no sign, only the name next to the buzzer which was off the street. The woman who helped us was very nice and the apartment was clean & spacious w/ a balcony. They went above & beyond in helping us. Unfortunately, we found it to be quite far from city center- you have to take a bus and a metro to get to termini train station, about 45 min. depending when the bus comes. the walls are very, very thin. We could hear the people in the room next to us clearly, as well as the neighbor's TV. the breakfast was croissant and espresso. Wouldn't stay here again, because it was too far. but, it was clean, private and cheap.

We stayed as a couple in a double-room. Everything was fine: A nice and friendly welcoming, rooms are really ok (very good relationship between price and quality!). The location is not too fare from city-centre: Just with bus and metro, and in 30 minutes you are at Colosseum. The surrounding is not touristic, but we thought about this as an advantage: there are some supermarkets and some nice small shops, too. And if you want to buy fresh vegetables, every morning you can buy it in the market which also is very close. A little breakfast is included in the price. But if this typical Italian breakfast should be not enough, it´s no problem to buy some food and manage it like this. In general, I can really recommend this accomodation.

Had an excellent stay at Speedy Bed. The B&B is located not too far from Rome Central Station and is within an apartment complex (don't expect great views) The room was basic but clean, and had all the amenities expected from a B&B, with a spacious bathroom (shared) and kitchen/dining area. Also had a balcony. The owner was extremely helpful and informative. All in all, a pleasant experisnce and very good value for the money. Shall definitely stay there again if I visit Rome.

Angelic was very welcoming and helpful. The B&B is located outside the tourist area, so it is a very quiet neighborhood. The room was a bit small, but for one person was fine. Getting into the center of Rome is fine during the day - but if you plan to stay late (past 11:30 pm), don't bother with public transportation, take a Taxi - from Roma Termini just 10 Euros ( a real taxi). Overwall, it was a good value for the money.

The hotel owner was very accommodating. I booked for a double room but also needed a single room and the owner was very happy to arrange for both. They also have kitchens if you want to cook and save! Just email them. Angelique speaks English fluently and can help with whatever you need. The location is ideal to those who wanted to experience both the calm/real atmosphere of Rome and the excitement of the city. To get to the main city, it is only a 10 minutes bus ride away. The hotel is located close to many restaurants and markets that don’t charge you differently because you are a tourist. Everyone treat you like a local. A version of the “Wal-Mart” super store is only 10 minute walk away and you can get all of your personal needs there without overpaying or bargaining. Or if you don’t travel with anything, you can get everything there! The B&B is very clean and neat and the bathrooms are extremely clean and can be compared to a 3 or 4 stars hotel. Whether you are traveling by yourself or with a family, I definitely recommend this to anyone who is trying to travel wisely and is on a budget. Have fun and enjoy Rome like a true Roman!

I didn't understand the map supplied very well; Ettore's instructions he e-mailed were somewhat clearer. The instructions featured a Big Red Palmtree, which turned out to be a Neon Palm Tree which was lit up the night I arrived and un-missable. I'm not sure how noticable it would be if it was turned off. Ettore was very good about coming to let me in when I arrived ~ 10:15 PM. there are 2 internet/telephone places on the same block as the B&B so phoning him was easy, tho I think they're closed by 11:00. The lady who takes care of the place is very helpful also. I would certainly stay there again.

Angelique was a lovely hostess, though she put us through a state of confusion by not being there when we came initially! Not noisy as we read on the site. Other than the area which was not too nice, every other thing was apt. Angelique spoke good English and helped make our stay fun. Although not localized in the center of Rome, the property is close to a tube station and with easy access to all Rome's highlights. The staff is very friendly and welcoming and also very helpful: our last day faced a strike in the public transportation system and Mr. Fabio and Ms. Antonella drove us to the bus for airport. I fully recommend this B&B for people travelling on a budget and willing to exchange more distance to less euros ;-). Excellent relation between price / quality. For our six days here, we had no problems. As a remark, breakfast could be a bit better, but as I learned during my stay,Italian people in general usually don't pay to much attention to it. I definetaly would return to this establishment. Ce vediamo doppo! (or something like this) Ciao!
