Bed and Breakfast Sotto il Sole di Roma - Rome

Very confortable place. Located in a strategic point either for touristic or business staying. The Bed & Breakfast has few rooms. Staff is normally not in the location, (which is not too bad giving a freely movement in the common kitchen cafeteria), but calling by phone in 5 minutes arrived. Lovely welcoming and friendship. Rooms are at the third floor of a nice ancient bulding. A large elevator (liberty syle beginning 900) will take you to the third floor. I received a smartcard for opening the room and the key of the building hallway door which is normally closed from the late evening. Room (with bathroom, large double bed, TV and frigo) was clean entierly renovated recently. Room space is not large as often is for any accomodation in a city. I paid 70 EUR for 1 night.

A brilliant location and wonderful staff made this a great find that we'll definitely return to.

Excellent location for a 3 night stay. Exceptionally helpful manager who made us welcome and offered advice on where to go. Room was clean, simply stylish and well laid out. Would stay again without hesitation and will recommend it to my friends

Apartments are located in a quiet area, close to the Vatican, where there are not many tourists. Walk to Piazza Navona, takes about 15-20 minutes. Staff are very friendly people. Although Mario does not speak English, issues can be resolved with Raul. Big plus - wireless internet access, so you can freely use Skype.

The rooms are nice, its well located. the employee at the reception very very kind. He helped us all the time.

Next time travelling to Rome I will stay at this B&B again. people were very nice, B&B is very near located to Castel St. Angelo and St. Peters. I can recommend it a 100%.

Very nice location and a nice staff, both Mario and Raul. We had 4 nights in town and had a marvellous time with guided tours by bus etc. Could not be better place to live. If or when comming back to Rome we will make a new reservation at Sotto il Sole di Roma.

Breakfast was very basic and not as good as implied by reviews on website. Shower fitting broke when first used. When flight was cancelled staff said we could stay on for extra night and then reneged on this promise at last minute.

Suite Sotto il Sole is a new place with good location (10 minute walk from historical center) The room was very clean,and been cleaned every day. The room is nice and well furnished but quite small Breakfast was very poor and disappointing. Overall, our experience was positive and we recommend this B&B

The room and bathroom were very nice. Our host, Raul, was very welcoming and pleasant. The breakfast was fair. The location was ideal if you are visiting the Vatican.

It is very good B&B and I recommend everyone. Position is near by Castel S.Angelo and Piazza Cavour, so you can choose the bus line 40 (Express to Termini) or others (many bus pass through near Piazza Navona and Largo Argentina. And Mario who is a portiere of this building, is very kind and give many help. I will use this B&B again!

It was the perfect location for a nice stay in Rome. Never slept better in a usually noisy city. Personal was very friendly, flexible and helpful. Paying was easy, done very correctly at the time when I wanted it. I do speak Italian, but I was contacted immidiately after I booked via venere in english, so a good choice for non native-speakers as well. Room was very small with very small closet, sufficient for 1 person, not for 2, but more than well equiped with flatscreen tv, refrigerator, aircondition and a nice bathroom. Everything was brand new and very stilish, with nice towels and even a bathrobe, so nothing to complain about on my part. I don't know, if there are bigger rooms than mine, because for someone with claustrophobia it might not be first choice. Breakfast was mediocre, but I never expect more in Italy (usually less!), so I was happy with the offering. Will certainly come back and can recommend the sotto il sole wholeheartedly to anyone.

It´s a nice place, with a friendly staff...rooms are not that big, but despite some lack of space they offer comfort for a single person...location perfect, very near the historic center and inside the very good zone of prati...perfect price/quality relationship
