I stayed 4 days at the Santiquattro with my wife and my daughter (12 years old) and everything was perfect. Fabrizio, the householder, was always available and helpful. We've got 2 rooms that were really very large and quiet. I would really recommend it.

The location of this bed and breakfast could not have been better. A very short walk from the Colloseum metro stop and within a 2 minute walk we were looking at the Colloseum and surrounding sights! This accomodation is not just a room like a traditional b and b in England, we enjoyed 2 bedrooms, 2 ensuite shower and toilet rooms and a small kitchen with fridge, sink and hob. All air conditioned which was welcomed during our stay in August! We had a very warm welcome by the owner, Fabrizio. It is his passion that people enjoy the accomodation and their stay in Rome. He owns several small apartments within this location so there is not a reception area or anything like that. But we made a quick call to his mobile and he came to his restaurant to meet us and take us to our accomodation (which happened to be right next door!) If staying you should eat in Fabrizio's restaurant, it is the best in the area in our opinion, relaxed and reasonably priced. The usual breakfast room was being decorated so Fabrizio had set up breakfast for us at the local bar. The staff there were great with the children, letting them select the pastries for our table, and we enjoyed breakfast with a view of the Colloseum!! Overall we would highly recommend this accomodation and hope to return before too long! Thank you Fabrizio, we had a lovely stay.

Excellent accomodation for a couple with 2 children. We had the quadruple room, which is a small appartment with 2 separate bedrooms, a bathroom and a kitchen/dining room. it is located 15 meters away from the other rooms and breakfast room. It is very quiet, and that must be rare in Rome !!! The location in Rome is ideal: 100 meters away from the Colosseo. almost all bus lines stop there, which is very practical after a long day of visit with the kids: you can come back to the hotel very easily. we also found very nice restaurants and oenotecas in the surroundings (Divin Ostilia, Il Bocconcino,Hostaria Isidoro are my best pick). Avoid the ones that are in the immediate surroundings of the Colosseo and of the Forums.

Overall good experience except that the room was right over a noisy pub. No chance to sleep until 3 a.m. each night. Parking is problematic until you learn the system. I'm still not sure but it appears I received a parking citation even though I paid all the required parking fees. It's not a problem if you have no car to park. Location was great, room was quite comfortable other than the noise level. Had to purchase our own bar of soap. Internet access did not work with password given to us, but we managed to log into the router and correct the password.

The two bedroom apartment we stayed in is an excellent value. The location, by the Roman Colisseum, is fantastic. We walked all over from this apartment, and what an amazing experience--ancient Roman structures are everywhere. There's a little park close by the flat where the locals go and people were playing soccer right around the remains of once spectacular baths built by Trajan in approximately 104 AD. The apartment, located right around the corner from the main building, was spacious and comfortable, and was situated around a cute, quaint little inner courtyard. The owner was terrific and energetic -- he met us promptly upon arrival and carried our suitcases up the stairs to our apartment, and did the same upon our departure. It was great because he and our driver to and from the airport (Rome Cabs, which I also recommend) stayed in communication about our arrival and departure times so we didn't even have to tell the owner when we needed our bags carried outside. He offered a wonderful breakfast in the morning with delicious expresso coffee. This is a great place to stay!

Fabulous location for this B&B. Fabrizzio makes fresh expresso or cappucinos every morning. Beautiful but simple room with marble floors. Shower is small but the bathroom is large. We booked the room with private bath. Free internet access. Half a block from the colosseo which you can see by leaning slightly out the window, 3 blocks from the metro. Only drawback is the street noise but the pizzeria downstairs closes at midnight. And in this city, you will just be getting back from dinner! There is a ductless type ac in the room which we used for air circulation and to drown out the street noise. After all, this is the big city so one cannot expect tranquility. Would highly recommend.

I stayed here with my teenage son for a trip to Rome. We loved the location, especially since it's near the metro and easy access to the main train station in Rome which brought us from the airport. There was some street noise outside at night. However, Rome is a loud city and this is always hard to avoid. We shut our wooden window covers the second night and didn't hear the noise. The rooms are very clean and staff very nice. It was a blast to be near the Coloseum and forum especially since we planned to go there first. I suppose the areas near the Pantheon have quainter streets, but there is no subway in that area and it would be hard to access with all our luggage etc. The area is very safe. I highly recommend Santiquattro.

The apartment we rented at Santiquattro al Colosseo was exactly as advertised and much more spacious than we had imagined. The three flight walk-up past our neighbor's potted plants and occasional drying laundry really gave a taste of what it might be like living in this beautiful city. The location could not have been better. Our apartment was less than three blocks from the colosseum, just around the corner from where breakfast is served and within easy walking distance of almost all the typical sights. There are many restaurants in the neighborhood and there are a couple of small grocery stores about a block away. It is reasonably close to the train station and there are always taxis waiting at the end of the block. All in all, I recommend this place highly. If we ever return to Rome, you can be assured we would choose to stay here again...specially for an extended stay!

The B and B was conveniently located 5 minutes walk to line B of the train station colosseo. Our room was big and clean and fresh. There are many choices of restaurants within 1 to 5 minutes walk from the B and B. The owner is very welcoming and cheerful and speaks English. We throughly enjoyed our stay. The breakfast was very good with choice of pastry, cereal, yoghurt. I certainly recommend it.

We traveled to Rome for a cruise. We stayed in Rome 4 days before the cruise. We loved this bed and breakfast. We had a bedroom, kitchen, living room, and bathroom. We were within three blocks of the Colosseum and the food in the area was great. We also had access to a grocery store. We are from the Midwest in USA and this was our first trip to Rome. If we return, we will stay at this bed and breakfast. It is away from the downtown area and much more in tune with Rome.

The service was excelent, the two rooms appartment was grate! The bad point is that it's os a 3rd. floor without lift. eally this wasn't a problem because Fabricio (the owner) carry all our bags up stair when we arrived and down stairs when we left. But it's better if you know it in advance.

Fabrizio was fantastic and helpful. The quad room (really an apartment) was fantastic for those with kids. The location just behind the Colosseum was also great--as was the restaurant the B&B also runs around the corner--the apt is actually next door. Be ready for stairs in Italy-- we were 3 flights up! For all travel, I'd recommend confirming your expected arrival time the day before (again) for B&B's as there is often no "front desk" open all the time. A cell phone is also useful if you can bring it! Would come back and stay again. This place is great.
