Unfortunately, there is no question regarding the rooms atmosphere. And that was great! Also, the warm welcome is worth a word.

It would help if staff spoke English (or Spanish) but they are VERY nice and helpful. Good price/quality. Close to the Vatican but not much more.

There are three rooms in this bed and breakfast Two of them have a private bath in the room. The third has a bath across the hall from the room

Delightful, small place 4 blocks from the Vatican Museum. Our room had a "private bath" down the hall that was only for our use. The other two rooms had in-room bathrooms. Suzy is a treat as a hostestt.

I would recommend to stay - it is only 15 minutes from Vatican. Susy is very nice person, just her staff doesn´t speak English, but we always got along. Room was very nicely done, perfectly cleand every day. Only for breakfast we would have liked to have fresh bread or pastry. You can find typical italian restaurants nearby. Just don´t be surprised by street noise, it is normal in Rome. We would come again.

Do not stay here if you do not speak fluent Italian. The person present when admitted took all e-mails and never was seen again, as he wasn't the owner or employee. B&B didn't honor agreement made in e-mail correspondents. We no longer had written proof of these correspondents. We could have stayed in hotels for the same price and would have had a person available to help with communications. All others who traveled with us stayed in hotels and did not encounter any of the problems we did at this facility. The owner was very rude and breakfast was very, very uncomfortable. I got the jest of the conversation to know we where being insulted.

Our stay at this bed and breakfast was at the low end of average due to the language barrier. They spoke no English and we spoke only a small amount of Italian but however, I did have a language translator with me but it still didn't help. We only had access to the dining room/sitting room during our morning continentinal breakfast and then it was locked up. So, our rooms consisted of our bedroom and the dining room only at breakfast. We were confused having to use 5 keys; 1st key to access the building (as it was an apartment complex), 2nd key to access the bed and breakfast front door, 3rd key to access our bedroom, 4th to access the bathroom and the 5th key for our room safe. The place was extremely clean with comfortable beds, there was a large window in our bedroom that we could open and look into a courtyard, which was very nice but we had no access to a telephone which we needed so desperately. It was beautiful inside but if you like being contained in one room than you will like this place.

As a group of 5 friends we found the accommodation very comfortable and conveniently located. The apartment was clean and well equipped. Breakfast was typical for Italy, good beverages and prepackaged dry baked items. The only thing that we did not like was that the owner and her morning staff came to prepare breakfast and while we ate carried on a loud conversation in Italian while we sat at the table nearby trying to eat our breakfast and carry on our own conversation. It seemed very rude and made the experience uncomfortable for us.

Very nice rooms, large comfortable bed, and decent neighborhood, but very little in the way of services in the building (no phone, no TV, etc) but had a fridge. Only took cash, which was not understood when we booked. No air conditioning. Would stay here again, but would preferably want to find another place that had phone and other services.

We enjoyed our stay at Susy's, the comment from another reviewer was true, Susy's is like having your own apartment in Rome. Our friends found the proximity to St Peters a great advantage. The restaurant/coffeee bar/cake shop around the corner was also a friendly place. We would go back to Susy's.

The B&B is in a residential neighborhood with some great restaurants, shops and markets nearby. A very nice refuge from the more touristed parts of town. The accomodations and service were wonderful, but the breakfast left a bit to be desired (pre-wrapped croissants and biscuits, cereal and coffee).

The Susy is an excellent location for visiting the Vatican. However, it should not be classified as "luxury". Although it was quite hot when we were there (around 90), the air conditioning was not available. And, the breakfast is uninspiring - coffee, cereal, and pre-packaged croissants. Also, it would be nice if we had bath size towels in the bathrooms.

We enjoyed our stay at San Pietro da Susy. It is a large 3 bedroom apartment turned into a B&B. Finding it was a challenge at first, but mostly because we were not familiar with Rome, and even though the directions were clear we were not sure what to look for. There is a sign on the building at street level indicating we arrived at the right address, and the building has an elevator or the climb is only one flight up. Entering SP Susy, you walk into a large well lit corridor that leads to the 3 bedrooms. Ours was large, well layed out with a fridge, safe, king size bed (very comfortable)and an ensuite bathroom. Our friends who were in an equally large bedroom used a shared bathroom. Breakfast was served by 8am, and consisted of wonderful coffee, cereal, juice, jams, buns etc. Each day the room was cleaned, and even our things that were left out were organized onto shelves or in drawers, and our bags moved out of the way. They provided walking maps and various brochure information on Rome as well as restaurant recommendations. In all we were very pleased and would not hesitate to return. Thank you Susy!

I would definitely return to B&B Susy. The accomodations were beautiful, with excellent service and hospitality. The airline had lost by lugage, and Susy was very helpful in having the airline deliver it to the B&B the next morning.

Room is big and nice, little old though. But for single traveler for unknow foreigne country, I would rather recommend Hotel but not B&B. At night or early morning, if you need help, hotel reception will be much worthy. I have noticed that at first time in B&B, which no one left at night but only stays in the morning. Italian speakers and frequest travellers doesn't care such a small thing, rather prefer to stay in big room and nice shower room.

We found the accommodation to be excellent. It was very convenient (easy walking distance)to the Vatican & St Peters. The Metro was very close as was the main shopping area, and also close to a good variety of restaurants.

Almost like having an apartment in Rome. Close to the Vatican and Metro (Ottaviano), it was a very enjoyable base for our tour of Rome. The owners are very hospitable and gracious.

The location was great for spending time in Vatican City and some of Rome's interesting tourist sites are just on the other side of the river. I would recommend this B&B very highly. Susy was delightful and very helpful. We enjoyed our stay.

Assez cher tout de même, mais pour Rome, on peut dificilement trouver mieux! Bon départ pour se promener, à 30 minutes à pieds du forume et du colisée. Chambre très luxueuse.

Welcome was friendly but quite incompetent. Private bathroom was not in the room itself but across the hall. Breakfast is served early for a short time. Breakfast preparations and conversations are very audible in the room. Anyway: nice furniture, nicly furnished bathrooms, very nice food market just around the corner, quite near to Vatican...

The room was very nice. This is a great deal in Rome. Cheap hotel with shared bathrooms cost about the same! Breakfast is served until 10am but if you are jet lagged, don't bother getting up...it's not very good. One word of caution: you can't leave your luggage there after you've checked out at 10am. No one is around and you can't take the key. This was a problem for us and we had to take our luggage to a locker at the vatican.

Susy's B and B more than lived up to our expectations. An American family who were staying at the same time as us described it as being rather like having your own apartment in Rome and we would endorse that view. The staff were friendly and helpful ( we were able to access our room from 10 am on the day we arrived in Rome) and the room and bathroom were well furnished and decorated ...with ample use of marble. The pictures in the information page are accurate. Susy's is about 5 minutes' walk from the metro, about 10 minutes from Piazza San Pietro and the same from the main shopping street in NW Rome. There is an excellent restaurant round the corner and several cafes, bars and a pizzeria. If you don't make the admittedly early breakfast there are plenty of places to get coffee and croissants within a minute's walk. We thought that Susy's was very good value in this rather expensive city and would fully recommend it

Very good accom considering so close to Vatican. Service and breakfast very good. One thing that could be improved - breakfast is between 8am - 8.30am and noise is made by the folk setting up for breakfast around 7.30am (I guess to wake you up) so you have no chance of sleeping in because you're on a deadline for breakfast and due to the noise.

We were lucky and got a room with a bathroom, but there is one room that has it's bathroom across the hall. That wasn't clear in the online information. Other than that, we were very happy with the place and the location.

Everything was very good except for two minor details. The B&B has 3 rooms with private bath but only 2 with en suite bathroom. We got the room with a private bath in the hall which was a little inconvenient as we didn´t know in advance. Secondly the breakfast was good except that we had expected fresh bread instead of the kind that is vacuum packed.

A very pleasant place to stay. Good neighbourhood within easy walking distance of the Vatican and the metro. Staff were very friendly and the accommodation was comfortable and clean. The breakfast would be greatly improved by providing fresh bread rather than relying on prepacked rolls.

Very nice place and friendly staff. I got there early which was a little problem. I called the phone # but I didn't speak enough Italian to get the point across that I needed to get in to the building. A helpful native came to my aid and a staff member came straight over to let me in. The closest metro stop seems to be the "Vatican Museum" stop. Our room had a private bathroom across the hall. There's an Avis car rental office a couple of blocks away.

There were plusses and minues with Susy's however, in the end I was not pleased. To start off we asked for a double room with an in-suite bath as we were taveling for our honeymoon, which is what I remember being told we would get. However upon arrival our bath (although private) was out in the hall way. I was not to pleased with this, and it appeared the owner really didn't care. The owner while nice, is very agressive, so if you are not comfortable with this I would suggest not staying here. Also upon arrival she wanted payment in cash upfront, we were not told of this until arrival and had to go to a bank and pull out a couple hundred thus our bank would not let us take any money out for the next 24 hours - leaving us in a real bind. We planned to pay by credit card or on our last night by cash, but she was not accomidating to this. Even though the rooms were nice and it's a short walk to the Vadican I would not reccomend staying at Susy's B&B

This was a good find. The walk to the two closest subways was about 10 to 15 minutes. There is a mjor bus stop about 5 minutes away which takes you into the heart of town. We had no problems checking in since we told the owners our time of arrival yet I know a couple who was not able to get a hold of them and had to find an alternative hotel for the night. The B&B is beautifully decorated like a home. The room and bathroom were clean. The breakfast was satisfying (and included in the price, which is not standard at all B&Bs.) I would definitely recommend people to stay here for the price.

The room looked more like a hotel room than a bed and breakfast. There were three of us staying in the one room and there was plenty of space to accomodate us all. It was a bit difficult to find the place since it is located in the back streets off the main road, but someone came and met us at the main road to take us there. The breakfast was basic but the staff were very welcoming and even though there was a bit of a language barrier we felt very comfortable and felt the service was very good. I would reccomend Suszy's to anyone that would like to find a place that is very near to the Vatican City, its in walking distance. The Metro is a few minutes walk away. Italy in general is a very expensive country. Susy's was priced quite fairly.

very nice, well situated and quiet locality. Good help and advice from the owner, who is really very kind. One feels immediately at home. Metro station nearby.(5 'walk). Insgesamt wirklich empfehlenswert.

The B&B was 10 minute walk from Vatican, in nice quite area.Superb Restaurant within 5 minute walk and had no reservations about walking home at night.we booked breakfast for a certain time and the owner had it ready as requested.Owner does not live on premises and it really is like living as an Italian and coming and going at will.A perfect base to join the queue for Vatican Museum early.Metro is 10 minute walk and for 77cents you can have one journey anywhere in city. All buses and excursions travel through the area so what more could we have wanted. We were considering a 2/3 star hotel and were very happy we chose this instead.Would recommend to anybody and when we return we will use again.

We were warmly welcomed on our arrival (only Italian spoken) and shown our rooms, and had everything explained happily in sign launguage! The rooms are lovely, in a quiet area, but close to St Peters, restaurants, a market and the Metro. A great place to stay!

I would have no reservation in recommending Susy's B&B. The rooms are both comfortable and beautiful, and the surroundings are tranquil. It's about a half hour walk or more to the more central area of Rome (the Forum, Piazza Navona, Spanish Steps), but the Metro is nearby, which is useful for some parts of the city.
