Wonderful stay at B&B Rossana, Allessandra was incredibly welcoming ( a breath of fresh air after a not so wonderful rome airport), I left my jacket in the apartment...

Wonderful stay at B&B Rossana, Allessandra was incredibly welcoming ( a breath of fresh air after a not so wonderful rome airport), I left my jacket in the apartment and she went out of her way to have it express posted to germany which was wonderful. One side note is that the breakfast is a voucher for a little cafe for a coffee and a croissant, which was fine by my i just thought id mention it.

The Rossana B&B sleeping rooms are good size, the bathroom VERY VERY SMALL and towels are not good at all.. while I was there I broke my elbow in on of the tours, the owners assistance was OUTSTANDING! I could not believe the help I was given. Before my accident, we left one of our suitcases and Umberto took us back w.out charge, After my accident the owner called the doctor and paid and got me a medicine, AFTER, took me to the hospital @ 2 AM, went and got me my train ticket to Venice, this couple is AMAZING. IF you want to save money in Rome and don't mind using the local transportation you MUST USE ROSSABA.. TELL ALESSANDRA ARYELLA SENT YOU!

This is a super cozy, almost typical Italian place to stay for a low cost. It is a little far from the very center of the city or the Termini station but the subway and bus services are convenient enough. The owner doesn't really speak English but her daughters do and trust me, she will do anything to make you feel welcomed.

Clean, quiet, centrally located. Alessandra and her husband are welcoming and helpful. Make sure you keep them informed about your arrival time -- including changes as they occur -- as they are not always on site.

It was our first time to Rome, and the plane had a delay for an hour. So Alessandra and her daughter were already looking around for us at the busstop. Great, because we didn't have to look for the B&B anymore! You can get your breakfast at a coffeshop next door. Just Cappuccino and cornetto, but you learn the Italian habits and that's what we really liked about it. Next to the coffeshop you'll find a pizzeria, where we have eaten twice. Really good and cheap. Also a big shoppinghall in the neighbour (about 10 to 15 min walk)and a smaller one just around the corner. The rooms are simple, but clean as is the bathroom which you have tot share. There is a litle fridge in the room and a small safe. On the other side, Alessandra is only there by arrival so if you any questions, you have to call her. When we left, we had no idea what to do with the keys and we would have loved it to see her again and thank her for our stay. Overall, we had a great 3-nights stay at the B&B and will defenitely come back here if we go to Rome again.

This B&B (apartment actually) is located in a resident area, at 4 floor. Everything is ok,we have a bath room inside, not share with other people, convenient traffic, 10 min bus to metro, 5 min walk to a big suppermarket employee is very hospitable. The only problem is the noise, very loud during the whole night, scooter and bus noise never stop, I felt I slept in the middle of the road. Breakfast included in the room rate, but it's provided by another bar, 5 min work distance. the breakfast include a small cup of coffee or milk plus one small bread, around EUR2.2, not worthy. If you don't care the noise, this hotel could be an option.

Every other thing is good except the breakfast which is very tiny and the public transport from this place to nearest metro (although one can walk for 12 -15 minutes to reach the metro).

My stay at B&B Rossana was excellent! Alessandra is one of the nicest ladies I've ever met, and her family, who I was lucky enough to meet, is lovely as well. She's incredibly accommodating and will help you with anything you need, whether it's restaurant recommendations or finding good places to go for a run. The B&B itself is small and homey. You definitely don't feel like you're staying in just another rented room. It was very clean and comfortable. You get tickets for a typical Italian breakfast (coffee and cornetto) at the very friendly bar across the street. There are tons of restaurants and bars around, as well as an outdoor market and a larger shopping mall just down the street. The only potential drawback is the location, which is a 30-40 minute trip via bus and metro from the city center. Don't let this dissuade you, though. Public transportation is really easy in Italy, and B&B Rossana is the best B&B I've stayed at in four years of regular travel to Rome. At the price, it's an incredible value. Also, some previous reviewers have commented on the neighborhood maybe being less than ideal. This is a pretty typical residential neighborhood in Rome, and it's completely safe. The area is quiet at night, but I regularly walked from the bus stop back to the B&B after 11 and felt totally comfortable. No problems whatsoever, not even a hint of any shadiness in the neighborhood. As long as you use common sense (as you should when walking around any unfamiliar city at night), you will be totally fine.

Almost no personal service. Very limited English and non existent ability to ask questions. Basically it was not a B&B in my mind, just a rented apartment space in a not-so-good neighborhood. Airport shuttle driver told us not to be out after dark. If not for another guest, we would never have found our way back to the heart of Rome.

We stayed for two nights and had no problems..Alessandro is a very nice lady and communicated really well with us. We prefered SMS/Texts as a medium and worked really well. From Tiburtina station take Bus 409 (starts from Bus station on left hand side of Tiburtina station). After 3 stop get off and walk 10 mts on your right hand side then go left..walk 50 mts and then turn right walk 10 mts and you will see the main gate of building on left side..betetr to see the main gate through google street view before leaving. From Rosanna take 545 for tiburtina station..bus stop is just few steps... Good value for price...will surely go back.. Only problem was hot water control... It was hard to set the mixer but we managed it..either its very hot or very cold...keep adjusting it and take shower also...was fun..

B&B Rossanna is a very nice apartment homes/flat with rooms rented out for travellers (nice compare to other b&b in Italy). The room is very clean, spacious and nicely decorated. Location are a little far from Rome. If you have the bus/train system figured out, the commute would be easy. So if you have plenty of time to spend in Rome, I would recommend you staying here. Keep in mind that commuting takes quite some time - 40 mins from termini station to b&b each way. From termini station, take a train to tirbutina station, then take bus 545 or 409 (double check with Alessandro) and you will reach the nearest bus stop to b&b on the third bus stop. Keep in mind that buses and train doesn't operate on major holiday. We had to walk on Jan 1 to B&B. Thankfully, Allessandro picked us up where we were lost. Also, you need to buy a bus ticket before getting in the bus. You can buy the ticket in a nearest newspaper stand/super market that sells bus ticket. However these places closed or doesn't sell bus ticket on Sunday. We had a plane to catch and had no idea how to get to tirbutina station on Sunday.. It is a pretty far walk from the B&B Rosanna to Tirbutina train station. Again, Alessandro drove us to the station with her personal car. Summary of the stay, service is exceptionally excellent, location is a little far but it's worth it if you have plenty of time to stay in Rome. Note: Showering in b&b might be a little problem in winter. The water heater controller are broken so the water are either very hot water (boiling) or very cold.. In summer, we wouldn't mind showering with cold water. We will come back again to B&B Rossanna again if we visit Rome in the future (since we figure out the transportation system).

For a B&B located in rome, located a convenient bus/subway ride away from Termini, the cleanliness and comfort of this place is great value for the 70 euros we paid in sep 2009. We looked forward to the included breakfast provided in a cafe across the street - better coffee than a hotel/ B&B can provide on its own!

B&B Rossana is a great place: clean and safe rooms, and about the best priced accomodation you will find in Rome. It is a bit out of the way, but once you figure out the public transportation it is fine. Take bus 545 (stop on the same side of the street as B&B) to Tiburtina station, then take metro line B toward Laurentina to get off at Termini and take line A for things like the Colloseum, etc. We bought a 3 day pass for all metro, local trains, and buses for 11 euro each. Overall it is a great place with a very hard working owner and it is probably one of your best bets in Rome on a budget!

Go there if you need a quiet, simple place to stay, with no fuss. Not too far from the center, although the surroundings are quite hideous, the building itself is really ok. Warm welcome from the owner, helpful even though she doesn't speak english (it's Italy, remember?) I recommend strongly to check carefully the way to get there, because you will suffer if you don't, believe me. But once you'll find the way, it's simple and easy to reach every major landmarks of the thousands in Roma from the B&B.

Entrance is in the yellow building facing roundabout and from the opposite side of building (from the parking). Door man works office hours. From the inside court it is gate Q. Bus 545 takes you to Tiburtina railway and metro station, it passes on the left side of the building. From the station it leaves on the other side of the bridge. Better to take 409 and change bus after having crossed the big bridge and left turn. Alessandra, the keeper, is there only at check-in and if you wish so, to clean the room in the morning. For emergencies reachable on italian cell phone. She's very kind and available. The neigbourhood is nice to stroll in at night. At least in June people in the streets. Breakfast italian style; coupon to coffee and cornetto at the bar on the street below.

I looked for a non-tourist location so my five year old daughter and I could experience the true Italy. Rossana was so private we only saw one couple there on the day of checkout. The host, Alessandra, was extremely helpful with transportaion directions and locations of places to eat. We stayed for two nights and found it so comfortable that we booked a room the night before we left Rome. The breakfast wasn't much, but it was typical Italian food. The only thing that was difficult is that I was sent an email the day I left the states that gave me more specific directions to Rossana. It would have been nice to have read this as there are NO signs at all to the Bed and Breakfast, not even once I found the correct door. We walked around for an hour up and down streets in the correct piazza since none of the locals had heard of Rossana Bed & Breakfast. But it was worth being lost. By the way, it is behind door Q and you have to get a key from the doorman right inside the gate to the apartment complex. I can't wait to return with our entire family so we can rent out all the rooms at Rossana!

This was a lovely apartment in a large residential block, sub divided into a few modern guest rooms. It is a bit of an effort to find with baggage, but is actually very easy to commute to the attractions using the Metro and local bus services. Beside the premises are a few pizza and snack bars as well as internet cafes and a supermarket. The host Alenandra spoke a few words of English, but was extremely helpful. She organised a taxi collection for 0430 and even showed up hereself at 0400 to make us a coffee and ensure all went smoothly! The only strange thing was the breakfast. Cartons of fruit juice, yogurt & sealed cakes were left for our stay in our room. Vouchers for coffee & a coissant were given for a nearby cafe as well. While a strange arrangement, it worked very well. We relly enjoyed our stay and would reccommend it to anyone.
