The Rome Nice Room BEd & Breakfast is situated in the most typical roman district “Trastevere- Portaportese”. It’s one of the most fascinating roman zones that is frequented by lots of tourists and the city inhabitants. The atmosphere is still like it was in the nineteenth century, with the traditional Roman restaurants and the handicraft shops. In the evening it transforms into a social centre where you can find particularly crowded streets and pubs.
It's easy to reach the historical zone of the city (tram nr 8) - 8 minutes - and the Vatican (the regional train from Trastevere Station) - 4 minutes.

The location was good for sightseeing, other than having to hike uphill to the room at the end of each day. The room was in bad shape, wallpaper pealing, old furnishings, sheets, comforters, & pillows. The breakfast had to be prepared by the tenant in the communal kitchen.

The bathroom in the room needs some restructuring, especially the fan which is fundamental in a bathroom with no windows, but it is functional.

We've enjoyer our stay very much. The staff was very kind and helpfull. The rooms are simple but very clean and als the space was used very efficiently so even the smallest room didn't feel so small. Even when we had some problem with a plain ticket. She helped us very well. Also advised us very good on public transport and restaurants in the neighbourhoud. So this B&B is very well for recommending

We needed a final night in Rome that was close to the center but also very close to the train station for an early flight. Rome Nice Room in Trastavere was fantastic. I would stay there again in a heartbeat, and I'd definitely stay there for a full week's vacation rather than just the one night we had, too. The apartment is a short walk from the Trastavere station for trenitalia, which goes directly to the airport. It's a quick, safe walk to the tram up to nightlife and the city center (6 minute ride to Ponte Sisto and Campo di Fiori, or walk 30 minutes through a lively neighborhood to the same place). Bruno was so friendly and attentive on our arrival. We were running late, but he answered the phone immediately, met us at the elevator, went over city maps in detail and answered all of our questions. He even offered his home number so we could get a hold of him quickly and said to call with any questions. Breakfast was served on a tray in our room - coffee, cookies, toast and jam, and packaged croissants. Quite adequate, and it was very nice to have it brought to us. Other reviews have said this place is difficult to find. We found it quite easily once we found Via Danielo Bartoli - it looks exactly like the exterior picture, and online mapping services are accurate. Street noise was typical for a quiet city neighborhood - cars going by every now and then until 11 p.m. or so. The bathroom shower stall might be too small for larger people, but the room itself was plenty big enough and had a table for breakfast as well as a place to put clothing. I rated "public areas" low only because there weren't any - our room had an en-suite bathroom, and the other public space was the apartment's front hall (this is basically an apartment whose bedrooms have been converted into B&B rooms). If there was a living room, I didn't realize it. Having stayed in some luxurious private apartments, I'd categorize this B&B as "basic plus." It feels warm and welcoming, like a h

The bed&breakfast is located in a very quiet part of the city but with market, restaurants and a pharmacy within a 5 min walk. By line 8 you easily reach the historic city centre within few minutes. The location is clean and the hosts did warmly welcome us. I recommend Rome Nice Room for couples of any age and single travellers.

The woman who met us was incredibly nice and very very helpful. She gave us a tour book to use while we went around the city and also showed us how to get everywhere we wanted to go on public transportation so we didn't have to pay for cabs. Also, the day we were leaving, she let us keep our bags at her apt all day because our flight out wasn't until late that night and we didn't want to haul them all around Rome. My friend and I would definitley stay here again. Very clean bathroom and nice breakfast in the morning, coffee, croissants, toast, jam, etc.

The owner couldn't have been nicer or more helpful. She even took our laundry to be washed and delivered it back to us the next day so we didn't have to carry it up the hill. The breakfast is poor and less food but of a better quality would be much better-like a fresh pastry, a piece of cheese and coffee and juice would be fine-but not packaged food of poor quality. The shower water temperature needs to be fixed.

Placed on the hill with rather complicated access to the public transport (expecially with the wheelchair as we had mother with us). All facility very "used" - no care for repairs (doors, bathroom with moulds, suddenly changing temperature of water while showering), terribly short and narrow beds with bad mattrasses is smaller room... Good maybe for half of that price at least...

They have 2 different locations, and we stayed in both, one on our way into Rome and the other on our way out. The in-town location is excellent - walking distance from the Vatican, but it's more expensive and quite small. Bath is down the hall, as is common in many European B&Bs. The location in Tresteverde was very near the train station, but not too close to all of the local restaurants, and a 20-minute tram/bus ride to the Vatican. We ate at the "Station" just across from the train station. Outstanding restaurant. Neither B&B location had internet service. Elevator in both locations.

The room was spacious for the price and by European standards. The furnishings were very sparse, as was the bathroom. It was very clean and the hosts were pleasant, although English was a bit more difficult for Marta. Breakfast was all packaged foods but typical of Italy, i.e., crackers, rolls coffee and juice. Although it wasn't far to the tram, there wasn't anything around the neighborhood, such as restaurants, shops, etc., so we pretty much left at 9 in the morning and returned after 9 at night. There were really no landmarks within walking distance

We struggled to find Rome Nice Room as maps were not detailed enough. The owner eventually very kindly came to collect us in his car. However it is in a lovely residential area within an apartment block about 15 minutes by bus or tram from the centre and we can certainly recommend it.

Very nice and helpful hosts. Breakfast was decent - a good start to the day. Very nice neighbourhood (though not recommended for those inconvenient, as it entailed a 10-min upward wake everyday back to the apartment). Showers weren't hot enough tho - it was frustrating waiting for hot water to come every 15 min or so, then go cold again after another 5 minutes. Apart from that, would certainly recommend it to everyone, and cerntainly would stay again next time I'm in Rome!

We arrived early, but Kinga and Emmanuel were able to check us in before official check-in, which was really nice. My wife and I found the hosts to be very nice people! The breakfast in the morning was really good, alot of food and good for a continental breakfast. We especially liked the fridge in our room, which we used to chill some water every night. The bathroom was somewhat small, but the appliances were all very nice, considering the price. With access to the Tram #8, all tourist areas were easily accessible. We had to leave early for checkout in the morning, but the serving boy was still able to give us breakfast at 7:00am as a favor. Excellent service! We would definitely consider staying again if we return to Rome.

We had 2 doublerooms with shared bathroom. One room was very small, more like a single room. There is no breakfast room, so we had to have breakfast in our rooms. The breakfast was coffee, bisquits, butter-marmalade and cheese. They didn´t clean the rooms during our stay so the carpets were not so nice after 5 days.Friendly staff but all very young people.

Good location for easy access to all tourist attractions at a very reasonable price. Away from the bustle of the centre, making it nice and quiet, but within 10 minutes reach by local transport, which is quick and cheap. Rooms are comfortable and clean, but en suite shower could do with an upgrade. Staff friendly and helpful. Would definitely return.

Friendly staff who made us feel welcome. Private bathroom somewhat dated, shower consisted of a hand shower only. Breakfast consisted of 6 sweet biscuits, prepacked crackers & cheese, and coffee and was not really worth waiting for. Somewhat distant both from central Rome and the Trastavere commercial centre, but handy to the excellent service on Tram number 8 that serves both.

Bruno and his wife Marta were wonderful hosts, very friendly and helpful. Nothing was too much trouble, they provided some great tips for public transport and delicious local, authentic restaurants to eat in nearby Trastevere. Laundry service and car shuttle to the airport could also be arranged for a very reasonable price. The rooms were spacious, clean and tidy, with the rooms made up each day. It was also wonderful to have lift access, a welcome change from lugging our cases up flights of stairs in some of the other properties we had stayed! The ensuite shower could be improved however, as the base would fill with water quicker than it could be released down the drain hole! The breakfast was adequate, but the inclusion of some fresh fruit and yogurt would be welcome.

The couple who run this do not live on premises and she does not speak english. They arranged airport transfer but did not turn up. When they did a lovely fellow who spoke good english but was actually on holiday, arrived holding the wrong name up. On ir roaming the phone bill will negate the cheap room. We stayed a night, were kindly allowed to store our luggage and headed off for 2 days having booked several months before to return for a night and retrieve our luggage. Our friends and ourselves returned to find that only 1 room was available as a under the weather client had refused to leave. This was the excuse given and one couple could stay, or they had found a spot we could both go to and they organised it and the taxi and we left. The new spot was cheaper, cleaner and closer to public transport but the bed was nearly as hard .There is no dining area, the wife arrives to make continental breakfast in the morming. They were lovely people but the wife has a young baby, the husband works, they are not on site, it would have run more smoothly(I hope) if the worker wasn't on holiday.

Emanuel was great very welcoming and helpful. Couldn't be better. However we were ripped off by taxi drivers - it is only a 5 minute walk from the station (Trastevere) to the B & B. So from Fiumicino to the B&B costs 5 euros and is easy to get to. Also beware of the lift - we got stuck in it with a baby between floors at 9.30pm and no one answered the alarm call! Make sure you take the B&B's number with you. Breakfast was terrible - dry biscuits however the coffee was lovely. All in all the place was fine and Emanuel was very kind and helpful!

A very nice room we have to say. It's not in an area where you would really expect it, but it's easy to travel around by public transport. Bruno is really helpful and assisting. The room looks really nice, the only minor issue is that the bathroom isn't directly linked to the room. Definitely recommendable.

The Rome Nice Room B&B was the best bed and breakfast experience that we have EVER had! The owners, Kinga and Emanule , were utterly amazing hosts. The room, breakfast, and the B&B overall were like being at home away from home. You are tucked away with the locals of Rome in Tastavere, yet minutes from multi means of public transit…bus, tram, train. If you visit Rome, you must stay at Rome Nice Room B&B. Our amazing time with this B&B does not stop here … the story continues about how great the owners truly are …. Our trip to Rome was centered around our wedding. We had many places to visit and appointments to make in order to be allowed to get married in Rome, Italy. We asked Kinga and Emanule for help! They provided directions to many of the places Legalization office, Magistrate office, etc… In addition, Kinga volunteered to be our translator at the Magistrate’s office. What a story! We arrive at closing time and are trying to acquire our promise to marry and wedding date/ time/ place. Kinga charms the old, grumpy Coumme, and he stays to complete the deal! To top it all off, we are paying the marriage hall fee and realize that we do not carry that much cash! Kinga starts laying money down immediately and helps us secure our day/time. We could not of done this without her. She was fabulous! Kinga and Emanule also were witnesses/ translator at our wedding. Upon arrival at the wedding hall, the Coumme tells us that Kinga cannot be a witness and translator too. Emanuale trys to bargin with the Coumme, but he cannot change his mind. Emanule helps us fins another witness at the last minute. We were married! We could not have done it with the help of both of them. Lastly we had to stay a bit longer in Rome than planned. They accommodated our needs withour hesitation. WOW!!! Kinga and Emanule did all of this out of the kindness of their hearts and did not ask for anything in return. They are two truly amazing people. The room was very nice and tidy. There is always one of the staff members who cleans all the rooms and bathrooms when the guests leave after the breakfast. It is well-located, conveniently to take one of the public trasport means(the best is tram that passes frequently and goes straight to the plein centre). It was easy to go to the Vaticain with a train from a station that is near there. The people were friendly and rather well-organised. I will obviuosly return to stay with them.

We enjoyed ourselves, but had an extremely difficult time locating it (nearly3 hours); it was not on the regular Rome tourist maps. The neighborhood was very nice and more straightforward explanation of buses and trams would have been extremely helpful. Otherwise, we enjoyed the room very much. We were able to have a private bathroom for an additional 10E. It would have been nice if it had been included, but it seems that in Europe the Euro rules.
