Residenza Belli does not deliver what it claims to. I'd specifically looked for a place in Rome with aircon as I knew how hot it could get in the summer. It was REALLY HOT during our stay but they had the aircon timed to go off during the night! There is no individual controller for each room. The first night it went off at 12.30am and we spent the rest of the night sweltering, unable to sleep. We opened the window but lots of street noise and too hot. I even went into the corridor to try and call someone as I thought it must have malfunctioned but there is no phone and no-one to ring in an emergency. SOOO frustrating at 1.30am! Beware Room 103, just near the front door - it doesn't get the aircon very well, even when it's going - perhaps because it's at the end of the corridor. Nor does it pick up the wi-fi. I had to go into the hallway to use it - sometimes it worked, other times not. The fridge wasn't working either and despite assurances they'd get it fixed, it never happened. The bathroom had some things that needed maintenance. The toilet seat was broken and a real hazard to sit on - we left it off. Great! The shower door too, was broken -the door just fell off the runner so we had to leave it open, consequently water got over the floor. Luckily there were plenty of towels to mop up but they smelt of cigarette smoke - pretty unpleasant given we're non-smokers. Breakfast is only a coffee and a croissant in the bar next doot which doesn't open till 7.30am - a bit late when you've got bookings at the major attractions and want to avoid long queues. The positives were the comfortable bed, but that was no consolation in the middle of the night while we lay there sweltering. Such a pity because the location was great and the young girl who was on in the afternoons was so cheery and helpful.

Giovanni was great and helpful, especially since I was traveling alone. He was kind when I arrived and helped me figure out how to see Rome in a day and a half. The man working the desk in the mornings was awful. He talked on the phone early in the morning and I had to tell him to stop his conversation, so I could get my breakfast ticket and check out. If I had waited for him, I would have been late getting to the airport.

I recommend it! The best neighborhood to stay, with nice day surroundings and great night life, also very safe! Surprisingly, we were given an apartment with a living room and kitchen instead of a room. Helpful staff. Only a croissant and cappuccino for breakfast at the bar next door, but ok. It helped making our stay in Rome just great!

The breakfast is poor. The room 107 is narrow, dark and quite noisy. For the same price it is possible to hire a 2 rooms flat with bath and kitchen in Roma center.

This was a delightful stay. We did not expect to have an apartment with a kitchen and living room, but it was a great surprise for our honeymoon. The Trastevere area was amazing. The quality of food surpassed our expectation and I wish he had eaten in the area more. The shops and vendors of the area were very welcoming and always said Hello to us every morning.

Everything was good, clean and the breakfast in the bar was simple but with excellent croissants. We experienced only some noise one night, made by other guests: being a guest house there is no staff at night to keep control.

Enjoyed our stay. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Loved the area B&B was in. Was fun going to a local coffee bar for breakfast in the morning. Nice way to meet the neighborhood.

Very nice hotel! I recommend it with all my heart! the staff was excellent and the room was very fine! I had a view to a typical roman backyard with laundry hanging out the windows. Very romantic if you like that type of thing. Only two objections; the bathroom and especialy the shower was confined and there was some noise from the other rooms and the hallway. Very nicely situated, only few minutes from Santa Maria in Trastevere and not far from the tram lines which go into the central part of Rome. I'd come back there any time!

I can't say enough nice things about our stay at Belli Residenza. Because of traffic problems, we arrived at the hotel at midnight. We were sure that no one would be there, but the young man who was the manager was waiting for us outside! Imagine our surprise and delight. He helped us with parking, (basically you need to drive around and pay) and then with the bags. The room was clean and roomy by European standards. The location was ideal and even though we were facing the street, the windows were double glazed and quiet. The only noise was from the inside of the residence as people came and went. Definietly a find!

Malcolm and I went to Italy for our honeymoon and stayed in Rome for a total of 12 days. We cannot send enough praise for Cristiano (whose English is also very good) at the Residenza Belli for his excellent service. He met us promptly and told us about the many things to see locally and good restaurants. Customer service is high on his list. Bravo! However, beyond the excellent service we feel we have found a friend for life-a rare and surprising gift. The Residenza Belli is located in the heart of Trastevere, close to restaurants, bars, shops and the buses. Around the corner is Enzo's where you can buy fresh fruit and wine. The Cafe Roma on the corner, where you can get your complimentary breakfast, coffee and croissant (they're huge), and friendly chat with the proprietor who is also willing to help when you might be in need. They made us feel like members of the neighbourhood and gave us a home away from home. Cheers Cristiano, our friend! Debbie and Malcolm

Although we announced our late arrival (23:00 o'clock) with the reservation, we stood before a locked door. Only by nice guests we could into the pension. We spent the first night then to the vacant Reception on chairs. By the efforts of the friendly service strength we did not have to pay this night. Otherwise it was a very good, centralconvenient Bed & Braekfast nearly pension. Very cleanly and very friendly personnel. The breakfast (Croissants and coffee) gives it next door in the restaurant. Result: We would book again there - however with an arrival before 14.00 o'clock.

Excellent location! You can go on foot to many attractions and there are a lot of good restaurants near the hotel. However, the service at the hotel is very poor: nobody was there in early evening and at night, and they did not give any phone number to call in case we need. They did not change our towels, only after a strong request. They did not care if there was toilet paper, soap, etc... One day there was no water in the bathroom in the morning, and the other days there was very few water for showers. The other equipment in the room are very new, clean and working well. It is a good option only in the case that are going to stay in the room only for sleeping, because there are no public areas, and, of course, if don not care about the problems we have had. The relation location/price is good.

Il posto è molto carino e curato ed è ammirevole la professionalità e la gentilezza del manager che mi ha consigliato luoghi non solo turistici a roma. Consiglierei a tutti di soggiornare nel posto

The location is convenient for our work, the surroundings is quiet and we were not disturbed our sleep. The room may be renovated recently, is very clean and relatively wide comparing the hotels of same price in that place. Especially, the staff are excellent. Although we arrived very late on our check-in date and we left our baggage on check-out date until we leave Rome in the evening, they kindly waited for us. We can say that we are satisfied with Residenza Belli.

The Residenza Belli was a really nice location, I really recommend this place. You have restaurants and bars just around the corner and you reach downtown within 10 minutes. One thing were negative - the air condition wasn't running, so we had to sleep with open window and as we had a room in the front it was quite loud. Ask for a room in the back.

Quite simply, you get what you pay for. 60 euro a night is reasonably cheap considering the area, which is fantastic. But understand that they advertise air conditioning (it doesn't work), they advertise cable tv (it's more like the same five channels, three times over again), they advertised a two beds (I got one big one for two people). I saw the manager once in my five days, the cleaning lady, well, she was in the room when I arrived, but never once after that. And while the room is a bed and a bathroom, that's it, it is in an excellent location, you can walk to some really amazing places... Which is great because the room should be used for sleeping and showering, not much else.
