First time in Rome and the hotel location really made it easy to get around. 5 min walk from the central station/ metro in a good neibourhood in a very Italian set up. Rooms are really clean and the manager very helpful. Very cheap restaurant literally next door and few really good eateries within 2 min walk, just ask at check-in. Wouldn't hesitate to stay there again. As far as b&b's go it's not a queen but a king

Julia is very friendly and welcoming. We are overall satisfied with the stay in the B&B, however the location is really a little bit further than what we expected from the train station. Other than that, the room is new and they even have a safe in the closet :)

Julia is an excellent hostess and gave us great service and helpful hints of what to do and where to eat. Only one small quibble - I would have liked to have had a clock radio or other wake-up device. I highly recommend BBQueen

Very well organized. We were contacted several times to confirm our arrival time. Very near to station Termini, but in a quiet area off the street. Rooms brand new and spacious, bathroom small, but beautifully appointed. Fridge in room a bonus. We took all three rooms, if you want to sleep late or siesta, the sounds from other rooms may bother you. No noise from outside. Very helpful staff

The location is excellent. A few minutes walk to the Temini station and bus stops. Quite a few good restaurant nearby. The room was recently renovated, very clean and spacious, bathroom very colourful. Julia the owner was very friendly, sweet and funny. She gave us helpful tips to plan itinerary in Rome. We were very happy with our stay and will highly recommend this B&B to anyone.

I've stayed in Rome a few times and I have to say this was one of the better times from an accomodation standpoint. Rome is strictly a tourist destination and the restaurants and bars and sights are all designed to gouge as much out of the traveler as possible- I'd say with the exception of the BBQueen! Julia (the hostess) is absolutely wonderful, extremely accomodating and we had a wonderful stay. I was traveling with my best friend and for two young women to stay in Rome- this place is great. It was spotless, spacious, quiet, safe, and relaxing and the price we paid was extremely reasonable. I'd stay there again definitely and would recommend it! (Bonus- air conditioning in the rooms!!!)

BBQueen is a great small bed and breakfast ideally situated close to Roma Termini. The owner, who speaks excellent English, is not on site all the time so does need to know when you are going to arrive - this worked fine for us but could catch others out if you are unsure of your time of arrival. She was extremely helpful and obtained travel details for us for a day trip out of Rome that we wanted to make. The rooms are stylish and comfortable. Breakfast is simple but good. The only problem was with noise from fellow guests - the walls are very thin and our final night was constantly disturbed by loud TV and voices from the next room: the previous two nights we had not even been aware that there were fellow guests. Should the possibility of noisy neighbours put you off this BB? We don't think so, this is really more about the other guests and you can unfortunately meet inconsiderate ones anywhere.

BB Queen is situated in a good area a few minutes' walk from the main,(Termini), railway station. No need, therefore, to struggle with luggage on buses, or go to the expense of a taxi. Moreover it is within walking distance of the main sights, and easy to return to as so many buses go to the station. The rooms are spacious, clean and comfortable. Julia is charming, a real 'people person', she has a genuine affection for, and interest in, her guests; nothing is too much trouble for her. At BBQueen you experience the 'real' Rome, from the entrance, (through a wrought-iron gate into a courtyard), to the pretty little street market outside in the mornings, and a delightful family owned restaurant nearby. (Turn left as you leave BBqueen, right at the end of the road, and the restaurant, open in the evenings, is just across the road). The food is wonderful, the service charming, and the owner, who has lived in London, has a very amusing story to tell about his time there...make sure you ask him!

Pros: Very welcoming atmosphere thanks to the friendly owner Julia. Close to Termini station and both Metro lines which makes travel around the city easy. Spacious rooms. Free internet. Very clean. Cons: Rooms can be noisy depending on your neighbours. The room felt a bit damp probably due to the fact that the BBQueen is located on the bottom floor of a building.

BBQueen is a very small (3 room) B&B located only a few blocks from both Rome Termini and Repubblica stops, making the location very convenient. You really do get great personal service (and the best coffee we had in our two weeks in Italy!). With all the construction going on at the Termini stop, travel on the A Line (Red line) is more convenient from Repubblica. Also very convenient to inexpensive restaurants and a laundry facility (across the street). Our wives viewed the street market in front of the B&B each morning a plus - and even with the market, rooms were very quiet. The rooms were on a small size compared to U.S. hotels - but very adequate for our needs (who comes to Rome to stay in a hotel room anyway?). Be sure to visit the Basilica of Santa Maria of the Angels and Martyrs (Santa Maria degli Angeli e dei Martiri ) only a couple of blocks away from the B&B. Julia will be more than happy to provide maps and directions.

Good location, easy and quick access to public transport (5min. to Termini or 7-10 by foot to Piaza del Republica). Nice, modern and quite spacious rooms (which is not so common in Italy). The only drawback - at least one TV programme could be in English, but on the other hand - that's not something you are going for to Rome!!:) Special thanks goes to Julia - the most welcoming and helpful host!!!

An excellent choice of B&B. Very clean rooms, friendly and hospitable hostess and within walking distance to almost everything in Rome. The location near Termini railway station makes it easy to take the train, bus or metro. We felt completely safe in the area.

B&B Queen ticks all the boxes for me: Comfortable, quiet, clean, the most friendly service, and, what is offered is what you get. Located near the Termini station, there is easy access to everywhere in Rome for either business or tourism. For quality matching price I have not found better in any major European city. Thank you Julia and Fernanda.

Julia, the owner, is very nice and helpful. The place is very modern. Well located nearby Termini station. We have never felt unsecure. The blue bedroom does not have a "real window" with a view on the outside. It is the biggest room but not to be recommended for people suffering from claustrophobia. We have spent five nights and we were very happy. Thanks Julia

Excellent Excellent Excellent! What a find! Ideally placed near, but not close to all the public transport with lovely restaurants in the streets before. The welcome was warm and friendly. The rooms were modern ,large and extremley clean could find no fault. Breakfast was continental with a wide range of breads and spreads and the coffee was out of this world, really set you up for the day. Rome was outstanding and so was Julia, with information and help when needed. It felt like a private apartment with good services (we had all the rooms). Reluctant to give this good review as want to keep it a secret and don't want to share. Thank you to Julia & Co . We will be revisiting soon.

BBQueen is easy to find from the Termini Station. The hostess Julia is absolutely super! The rooms are simple, but everything you need is there. It was almost like going home every day after visiting museums and churhes - and shops. BBQueen was our home at Rome (it even rhimes!!!).

Julia was the best host I've ever meet. She was friendly, helpful, attentive, all the qualities those should have been possessed by any kinds of host. Rome was my last stop before going home after travelling western part of Europe and bnb Queen gave me a beautiful ending. The whole bnb area were spotlessly clean and the room was spacious. I was lucky to find bnb Queen. If I visit Rome again one day, I would definetely stay there again.

As other travelers have noted, Julia is very kind and warm. Additionally, she went out of her way to assist us with our luggage. We arrived early, and since the room was available, she allowed us into the room to freshen up after a long 11 hour trip. Also, on the day we were to leave Rome, since we were leaving late in the day, and wanted to spend the day sight seeing, Julia stored our luggage for us so that we could enjoy the day without worrying about our luggage! Before leaving the BBQueen to explore Rome, Julia gave us a map of the metro-line and explained where we get on and off. She also gave us our set of keys so that we could come and go as we pleased; we felt very secure. The room was clean and spacious; we fit ourselves (my husband and myself) and 3 very large suitcases in it with room to spare. Plenty of hot water for showers and a peaceful nights rest. Breakfast was simple and filling with Julia making freshly brewed cappaccino for my husband, and a delicious caffe latte for me. I guess the real test of a B&B is whether we would stay at the BBQueen again; and the answer is an unequivocal yes.

We had a wonderful stay at BBQueen thanks to the kind and welcoming hostess, Julia. The rooms were as spacious and clean as we had expected and were furnished in a modern and stylish manner. The bathroom was a little compact but clean and functional. BBQueen does not have the advantages of a beautiful location but is very convenient as it is located very close to the Termini. That made it easier for us to commute to all the tourist spots. After a tiring journey, it was refreshing to have a warm welcome given by Julia. We appreciate all the practical information that she provided to get around Rome. Julia was very friendly and helpful taking care of our comfort down to the tiniest detail. Overall, we are very happy to have discovered this lovely place and would definitely stay here for our next trip to Rome.

Beautiful small hotel with a homely atmosphere, friendly hostess, not big but tidy room with all necessary: flat TV, Air Cond, WiFi etc. Breakfast is modest but tasty, fine coffee, pleasant conversation - me and my wife were very pleased. Myself & 4 friends really enjoyed our stay at the BBQueen. The location was great, right beside the Termini station & handy for all transport connections. We caught the Terravison bus from the airport which drops you at Termini & the hotel is a 5 minute walk from there. There was a good selection of bars & restaurants in the area. Julia, the host, was lovely-very welcoming & helpful. Breakfast was very Italian-sweet croissants, sweet rolls & biscotti & the coffee was great. Room facilities are good-flat screen TV, fridge, aircon & the whole place was sparklingly clean. We would definately stay there again. The front door is a bit hard to spot, but keep a good eye out on the street & you'll find it.

I was traveling with my parents, so I needed something within walking distance to Termini station. The hotel was a bit difficult at first to find, since all other hotels had large intrusive signs, this one has a very nice branded plaque hanging on the wall by the gates. I gave Julia a call and she kindly came out on the street to meet us, now that's friendly service. You walk through the gates and enter a very cute residential courtyard, and the B&B is just metres off the square. The beautiful part about this B&B is that it's situated on the ground floor. Very helpful since my parents had brought massive suitcases, and we didn't have to bother using what is very common in Italy....2 person elevator lifts. The B&B has just three rooms, I had book a triple and wasn't disappointed with the room layout and size. Everything was completely refurbished and brought up to a nice modern spec. The room had everything you needed and would expect in a North American hotel, except on a european scale; a desk for your computer, free WI-FI, a proper firm queen bed (single bed was firm and nice), a closet for clothes, a safe, a mini fridge, A/C, a 30+" LCD (italian freeview, no english channels...but your in Rome you don't hang out in the room anyways), large windows, bathroom layout was excellent, with plenty of room to maneuver, wash basin was tiny though. The breakfast room was of very cool design. Julia would ask you the day before what time you wanted breakfast served and as soon as you left your room she greeted you and had everything prepared. Standard Continental Breakfast, but she was so kind to offer seconds if you wanted. Her english was exceptional and you could carry good conversations with her. The nice thing was she was always willing to help you out, she had maps ready for you, train times, and if you wanted to visit any particular, she was on the net checking things up even before you could finish speaking. We stayed there a total of 2 nights, and each day

We spend 4 nights at BBQueen and enjoyed it. Julia was helpful and very easy going. A bit a variation in the breakfast menu would have been nice but the capuccino is excellent! There is a day-time market directly on the street where you can buy fresh fruits. There is also a place to do laundry a few doors away. We highly recommend this B&B and would go back anytime.

This was my first visit to Rome, although my partner had been a few times before. Julia was very welcoming, and made contact a week prior to our visit to make sure we knew the way from the train station and to provide a contact number in case of any problems. The room was spotless, and furnished to a very high standard. The air conditioning and cool floors were especially welcome after long trips around the city! The shower is also excellent, which is a huge bonus some B&B's are guilty of overlooking. No such problem here! Julia provided all facilities we might need, and was more than happy to chat and offer advice on sight seeing and the local area. Breakfast is a traditional continental selection of breads, cakes, jams and croissants. A particular delight was Julia's coffee, which is outstanding! Overall the meal is light but satisfying, and set us up perfectly each day. The street outside hosts a market a couple of times a week. The entrance to the BBQueen can be a little hard to spot, so pay careful attention to the building numbers to avoid walking past it. It was an absolute pleasure to meet Julia and stay in her property - it's clear she really cares about her business and her guests, and we were made to feel like we were staying with a new friend instead of a generic B&B. I would recommend this venue to anyone. The location was good for us - only a short walk to the main attractions, and easy transport links if you would prefer to travel that way. I found BBQueen to be good value, excellent levels of service and a genuinely enjoyable stay. I would absolutely stay here again, thank you Julia!

MAY 2009 In total, we stayed at the BBQueen 5 nights...what a find!! From the moment we contacted Julia by email, we felt completely confident that both Julia and the BBQueen were GEMS. When we actually arrived in Rome and met Julia, it was confirmed. Within a beautiful historic building, the B and B is on the ground floor. It is very secure, very clean, has private well-appointed rooms, high ceilings make the rooms feel quite spacious. The description as indicated in venere.com is true to each point. We enjoyed the fact that a Gelateria shop, a pizzeria, a street market and a laundromat were right outside the entrance to the BBQueen. A supermarket, the Metro and bus stops were within 5 to 10 minutes by foot. Julia, is a most friendly, gracious and very professional host. Not only did she provide a wonderful respite in Rome, she prepared a lovely continental breakfast each morning, delicious coffees and, most important to us, she took the time to engage in delightful conversations. With the detailed information she shared with us, we felt quite confident to tour Rome and the many attractions...most often walking but also using both the local buses and metro system. Julia provided us with maps and good travel tips that enabled us to see so much in the 5 days we were in Rome. We have already recommended the BBQueen to friends and family. We will definitely stay there the next time we are in Rome. It was mille bene!!! Grazie, Julia. Albert and Shirlene ONTARIO CANADA

The stay at BBQueen was an excellent experience! The location is very close to a main hub in Rome - Roma Termini, being a 5 minutes walk from the Roma Termini Metro station. The Hostess, Ms. Julia, was very helpful and made us very comfortable from day 1! The breakfast was delicious and filling. Julia also doubled up as a Tourist Guide having all the information needed. She provided us with a very helpful and handy map of Rome. Overall a very pleasant experience and a great stay. Looking forward to visiting Rome and BB Queen! I would highly recommed this B&B during a visit to Rome.
