A perfect place for two persons, especially the balcony was nice. Everything was nice and cosy, and we felt like Romans entering the front door, which was hard to find... Good breakfast facilities, but the best is location. Everything within walking distance!

We stayed in four different B&Bs in Italy and this by far was our favorite. Perfect location to see Rome on foot. Accommodations were lovely. Although entrance is on noisy street, room is quiet and overlooks the courtyard. Fabiana and Alessandro (and Pedriano) were thoughtful and helpful hosts. Highly recommend!

Very small room, breakfast had to be prepared by ourselves - was definitely no typical italian breakfast. You can only pay cash.

Perfect location in Centro Storico, everything was in walking distance. Ale & Fabiana was very hospitality, and helped us with information, when we asked. Nice breakfast with fresh fruit. It was nice with a small little kitchen, and the balcony was perfect to enjoy the breakfast on.

NO PUBLIC AREA - Only One small suite available for 2 people - separate part of private apartment. Good breakfast provided for self service in suite dinette.Proprietors very welcoming and helpful with ability to arrange ancillary services (eg. airport transfers which were well worth using). Well positioned for our needs (exploring Campo area in depth). Would go back but usually use somewhere different for further in-depth exploration of other areas.

We stayed 3 nights. The location of B&B is good because very near of the Campo di Fiori. BUT The breakfast is of a bad quality. The teapot and the coffeepot contains a lot of tartar. Cakes are under cellophane. No mineral water in the room. There is a lot of noise because of the owners. The bathroom is too small and emits nauseous smells. There was an enormous lizard in the room.

Exactly as described - a fantastic location,in quaint street in the old part of Rome, two minutes from the Sisto Bridge which takes you over the Tiber to Trastavere. We could walk everywhere (Vatican, Colosseum, Trevi Fountain, Spanish Steps) in 20-30 minutes. Hosts are a charming warm young couple who provide a very warm welcome, help with any questions, as well as maps, guidebooks, advice, not to mention an endless supply of fruit, cakes and snacks. The bedroom is quite small but perfectly adequate, and having our own little kitchen and private quiet balcony more than made up for this. Everything was provided with thought and attention: iron, alarm-clock, hair-dryer, sering repair-kit. By the end of four days, it felt like a real 'home from home'. Highly recommended.

Our stay couldn't have been better. What a lovely place, excellent location, and incredible wonderful hosts. We had a great time and with the owner's help we saw and did more than we could have imagined. Would recommend to everyone!

Excellent location, close to everything, we walked to Vatican (to the left) and to Colliseum (to the right) and at night crossed Tiber for greatest meals. Fabiana and Ale are very gracious hosts, very accomodating. Their "bed and breakfast" is a small (and very tasteful) apartment adjecent to their living quarters, unique and charming place, it made us feel like locals - no hotel can offer this.

Pettinary Village is a wonderful B & B that is centrally located. The private, attached kitchen is convenient. Be sure to ask for SPECIFIC directions prior to arrival as the entrance can be difficult to locate.

Fantastic location. All famous sites within walking distance of apartment. Internet cafe , laundrettte, restaurants and shopping on Campe de Fiore around corner. Close to buses and trams. Apartment very small, but comfortable and clean. Hosts excellent - left us wine and cakes! Would recommend and stay again. Suitable for couples. Need to be able to climb a flight of stairs. Street directions a bit difficult to find - better to enter Via dei Pettinari from bridge at river.

We would have liked to spend more days in this "little cosy appartment" in the center of Roma. Alessandro, Fabbiana and HAMLETTO made us feel as we were at home. Its a one room bed & breakfast and we'll surely go back to it if we return to Rome

We loved staying at Pettinary Village. The location is fantastic, very close to Campo Dei Fiori and Trastevere. The owners are lovely people and it more than satisfied our requirements for staying in Rome. The room is standard size for Italy and the bathroom is very suitable and very very clean. We loved staying there.

This was a wonderful place to stay. It was easy getting to all the areas of the city and what a beautiful city it was. Traffic was crazy as is all of Italy traffic. Great restaurants nearby and our hosts were super nice and very helpful. I would certainly stay there again.

A very nice place to stay when visiting Roma. When we came the room was very clean, but they didn't provide any cleaning during our stay and did not change our linen for five nights. That could have been better. The location is very good, near to everything in Roma, and the room has everything you need, included a lovely balcony. The owners are very kind and easy too deal with. We warmely recommend the place to other visitors.

Pettinary was perfect for us. I travelled with an old friend of mine, and we both enjoyed our "private staying" The young couple at Pettinary are very, very nice and makes you wanna come back. The room are perfectly centered in the city. It was my fifth time in Rome, and I will absolutely stay at the Pettinary next time.

Excellent accommodation in a good location with great breakfast and coffee. Terrific shower (although small) and extremely quiet. However we had a huge amount of difficulty finding it as the map on the website is incorrect. Also once we found it the name of Pettinary Village is not on the doorbell. We had to ask the shopkeeper next door who didn't know, the begger outside the door told us.

One week in Rome late September 2006 at Pettinary Village was a great experience. Location perfect, balcony fine in the morning and after a long day. Service perfect (coffe, juice etc.) and if additional items needed (fresh bread), you find a good supermarket next door. If/when we return to Rome, Pettinary Village will be the first choice.

The owners live in apartment next door and are available and friendly, but respect privacy. The location is very good, being across the river from the Travestere area, and within walking distance of most places. The room itself is small, clean, bright and characterful, with full TV/DVD/music system. Small but adequate bathroom and combined entrance/ kitchenette/diner complete the suite. Cereal, fruit, etc breakfast is provided to make yourself, so can have a lie-in or get up early as you like. We'd return quite happily.

My boyfriend and I went to Rome to get married, and stayed at Pettinary Village for 6 nights with our 3-month-old son. We received a warm welcome by Fabiana and Alessandro, who are the friendliest and most helpful hosts you can ask for. The room is not big, but turned out to be perfect for our little family. Allthough the palazzo is in the middle of busy Rome, the room and balcony face a quiet back yard. We would recommend Pattinary Village to anyone who is going to Rome!

Whe we arrived there was no indication on the dozen or so bells outside the apartment block as to which one was Pettinary Village - there were only householder names. Luckily an adjoining shopkeeper was able to help us, but if it had been late, we would have been in trouble.(especially as 3 network decided that our phone was not to work in Rome!)

We visited Oct 05.The"apartment", although small, was very well equipped, comfortable, quiet and in an excellent, central, location - possible to walk everywhere. Alessandro gave us any advice we needed. The fridge was most useful and the(tiny)pretty balcony made a pleasant spot for a chilled glass of wine before heading out for the evening. Sam & Ruth Ireland

Alex & Fabby were nice. However, the place was lacking in many things. The bed was never made up, nor were the towels ever changed. Breakfast consisted of packaged items or toast. However, one morning Alex did bring us a fresh baked item. There was no elevator [lift], so luggage had to be hauled up several flights of stairs. On a positive side, the location was very good. One could easily walk to the sites of Rome. Doubt very much if we would ever stay there again.

Very well situated halfway between Vatican and Colisseum. No guidebook said but by the river at night is really pretty they have bars and a market, would never have found that if hadn't been staying there. Not very well indicated from the street so I found it by the number but had to phone the lady to let me in. From then on you have a key so there is no problem. Other thing was that you cannot lock your own room, just the main door, however I found it fine, perfectly safe and secure. Would definately stay there again and recommend it to any friend.

My husband and I spent a few days there in late May before going to Umbria for a week and we thorougly enjoyed our stay. The proprietors were very nice. Fabianna is very sweet, Alex was especially helpful and their little dog Omelette was adorable. The place is small but charming (not really suitable for more than 2 people) and clean and more than adequately fit our simple needs. It felt almost like our very own apartment in Rome. The location was excellent. We were able to walk to all the sites we wanted to see, the Pantheon, Colosseum and Vatican and all points in between. Some spots are obviously closer than others, but we're New Yorkers and are used to walking and actually enjoyed it very much. They're near Campo de Fiori which has a number of cafes to sit and people watch. Breakfast was not of the pancakes and eggs variety, but Italy on the whole isn't really heavy on breakfasts and that was fine by us. Made more room for lunch! All in all, we'd definitely come back to Pettinary and would recommend them highly.

Very central and quiet location. Rooms are nicely furnished but very small. B&B provides no services what so ever (guests need to make their own breakfirst and als beds are not made...). Except to get a key and pay in the end we did not get to see the landlords at all.

The flat is very tidy and quiet. It is a good location for sightseeing by walking with a lot of nice restaurantes close to it. Because the Room is very small, i can recommend it for younger people. The coffee is excellent, bread is italian. The owners are nice people. I would rent it again. Thanks!

It's a great little place for an expensive city. It's little, but you get a tiny sitting room with table and espresso maker, a bathroom and a nice little bedroom with heated floor and balcony. It's on a street that has no traffic, so it's quiet. I would definitely stay there again. My only complaint would be that there were only prepackaged things for breakfast (and a little yogurt), so I never ate breakfast there. If I would change anything, it would be for them to provide freshly baked goods, or simply charge less and not call it a bed and breakfast. Other than that, it was great and very private, and the couple running it are friendly and helpful.

The breakfast was less than desireable, more self service, with prepackaged pastries. The espresso machine needed more explanation, but once we figured it out was a great addition. Shower was very cramped. Large high ceilings were very nice and the cable TV was good.

Tasteful quarters that are partly isolated from the owners' own residence. We enjoyed the chance to sit on a quiet balcony -- small, but only for our comfortable guest room Regrettably, the hosts were away. However, they arranged for a competent neighbor to welcome us (requiring that we specify the time of our arrival). Breakfast was something we made by ourselves with a pre-stocked small supply and refrigerator (only mediocre).

Pettinary Village is in a fabulous location close to everything but in a quiet street. The map provided on the website has it in the wrong location though! Although described as a suite, the room is quite small - it looks bigger in the photographs. Hosts are friendly and helpful, but lead an active social life - our only sleep disruption was from their friends.

Fabulous location near the center as well as Trastevere! The owners are really sweet and let you do your own thing the whole time. I was traveling alone but had previously lived in Rome so knew the city and had friends...this was the perfect place to crash at the end of the night!
