The hotel was really great. Nice room (bigger than I was expecting), nice forniture, bathroom big enough... The breakfast was really nice, with so many great food. The staff was not so 'welcoming'. They didnt gave us any tip for our tour (as usual in a turistic city) and was not so friendly. For sure, its not a big deal if you analyze the price, but they werent so helpfull as people from other places. The hotel was only close to Vaticano, but far away from any other touristic place. But there's subway station close enough...so it was not a big problem. Any way, I really recomend the hotel, cause its worth if you analyze the price and the place's quality.

When we were there about 2 weekends ago, the B&B was still undergoing renovations. Therefore, we were upgraded to the Atlante Hotel which was just opposite. Room was very clean and there's cable TV too. The Vatican is about 10-15mins walk away and there are a few cafes just beside the hotel which are worth trying. If you turn left from the hotel and walk 10mins, you will reach another attraction, the Castle San Angelo or Castle of Angels which is also worth visiting. Overall, good location - nearest metro station is about 10 mins walk. The best part about the hotel would have to be the daily breakfast which you can enjoy on the 6th floor with a view of the city and the Basilica! The breakfast spread is great too (ham, different cheeses, breads, juice, cereal, eggs), except that they offered cake on Sunday morning but not on Monday morning. Would definitely recommend this hotel to first time travellers to Rome as it is easy to get around from the hotel and major attractions are close by.

Orange Garden was absolutely horrible... the room smelled absolutely horrible, the television didn't work, there wasn't a proper shower, there was construction going out directly outside of the room... if felt like they were in the room. Fortunately the lovely staff at Atlante Star moved us to a room at their hotel which was of course MUCH better. I would certainly recommend Atlante Star... but never Orange Garden.

We arrived and looked for the b&b just to find out that b&b is under renovation and we got a room in the 4 star hotel with no additional charge. The staff was more than helpful. Great sourroundings, 10 min to Vatican. Good places to eat nearby.

I would stay here again! It is literally 2 blocks from the Basilica. Room was clean and quiet. The jets on the jacuzzi were somewhat questionable, so we didn't use it and I would not stay here if you are just interested in the jacuzzi. You need to check in at the hotel down the street...they own the property. The staff there is extremely helpful. You are literally in the middle of everything -- the Vatican as well as all the famous fountains (Navonna, Trevi, Pantheon) are all within a 10 minute walk. Metro stop is about 6 blocks away. Great restaurant up the street on the corner (restaurant is actually the basement). If we go back to Rome, we will be staying at this facility once again!

We got room number 4 with private bath facing the street. The room was very nice and clean. The view from the window was lovely. It is less than five minute walk to the Vatican, Saint Peters Square, Vatican Museums and Sistine Chapel. The breakfast is served at it's sister hotel a minute walk from B&B on a terrace. Since my husband and I were a bit jet lagged we missed the breakfast entire time we were there. I have to mention the whirlpool style bath. You will be grateful you have that available after a long day of sight seeing. We would definitely come back.

The location of the Orange Garden was great for access to Vatican City and other attractions in central Rome. My only complaint is the trafic noise we had to endure at night. Our room faced onto the busy Viteleschi street and even though we used ear-pluggs to help reduce the noise, it was difficult to sleep and we were totally tired after 3-nights. The other problem was also the beds - the mattresses were way too hard. And so not only did we have to contend with the trafic noise, but we couldn't get comfortable and were sore in the morning from the hard surface of the bed. Breakfast in Les Etoiles restaurant was excellent and the view was wonderful, but we decided this will not be a place for us to stay in the future because of the hard bed and noisy room.

Excellent location in the city, the B&B is 5 minutes walk from the Vatican Museums and you can enjoy a full view of St. Peter's Dome during breakfast. The rooms are variable in size and comfort; those facing the street are a bit noisy in the morning; that at the back much quieter but the heating does not extend to the bathroom. Overall this is an excellent place to stay, with a good price/service ratio

The room was looking a little 'tired', drawers without handles, slightly dirty carpet, wardrobe door would not shut properly. The bathroom had some cracked tiles and the 'spa bath' did not function. We had no hot water for 24 hours and hotel staff did not seem overly concerned about this. The breakfast room was very nice, the bedroom very quiet and most of the staff were very helpful and polite. The location is very convenient for Vatican and metro to centre. Wouldn't stay there again however, unless we had assurance that the rooms had been brought up to standard, especially the bathroom.

Our room was clean, but small. We lacked hot water on several days. Our daughter was moved into the hotel because her air conditioner did not work properly, but only after my husband insisted. Overall, the quality of our accommodation were not what we expected. The breakfast was wonderful, however.

Orange Garden has different types of rooms. The ones with toilet included in it are perfect, but the other ones are smaller, and the toilets are at the end of the corridor. So obe careful and do not be surprised if the first one you go there you have the toilet in your room, and the second time you have nothing...

The B&B is a part of a hotel but is located outside the hotel 1 block away. The entrance to the rooms as it is in a very unappealing old and ugly house with uncut tree shrubs and branches, slippery floors with moul. it is just terrible, once you get to your room it is very nice.

I was extremely disappointed with the standard of the rooms; while they were basicly clean, the side of the bath was coming off and light bulbs remained not working for the duration of our stay. The general impression was of an antiquated, run down property which may as well be earning some income rather than stand unused. The Atlante Hotel was not next door, but on the next block; it was easily reached, but again - the information was misleading! In fairness, the hotel facilities were good, with the view from the roof-top terrace being fantastic, giving a panoramic view of the Vatican, etc. Also, the breakfast offered was good, with an extensive choice. However, contrary to the impression given on the website, breakfast could not be taken on the rooftop; rather, it was available in the dining room, one floor down - and indoors!Overall, I would use this accomodation again. I hope that this review is put on the website.

We actually stayed in the "orange garden" which is a B&B affliated or owned by the hotel. Our room was about a half block from the actual hotel. When we arrived we had to wait quite a while to get the room. The room was nice, clean and spacious, however there was not enough surface space like a table or dresser to lay our stuff on. The bath room was nice although the jacuzzi bath that the bell boy kept pointing out did not let enough water fill so it could be used. We were right on the first floor by the street so the scooters and mid -night garbage trucks were loud. The early morning tour groups walking by actaually woke us up. In all fairness there was an Air conditioner where we chose to open windows instead. The airport pick-up was great! The continental breakfast in the hotel was really nice and the roof-top view and garden was unbelievable. It was very close to the vatican. We were reserved for one night only so that we could check out the accomidation. Over all we were fairly satisfied with the room and would recommend it, maybe a little costly for what you get and if it was slightly less then we might have stayed the extra four nights in Rome instead of finding a less expensive accomidation else where.

The image shown bears no relation to the room we stayed in. I transfered to hotel last two nights for convienence, that room bore no relation to the published image. it does not state that the bed & Breakfast is a property owned by the atlantic star hotel or that we would have to go up to the hotel each morning for our breakfast. the bed & Breakfast itself was like entering fort knoks because we had to have 3 keys to get in and out of the room. the cleaning staff did not completly clean the room at any time, even before our arrival, there were peanuts on the floor and an open packet of Durex in the bed side locker. there were seldom enough towels but when there was the water was cold. the porter was not very helpful in showing us what keys were what, or the operations of opening and closing the shutter, twice we had to ask for assistance. the hotel staff and receptionists were exceptionally helpful, I would stay there again, principally due to the location of the bed Breakfast, however i will choose a better traveling companion. Carole Mc Dermott traveling with anne cranley, and it was i who made all the travel arrangememts

SOME BEDROOMS DON'T HAVE THE BATHROOM INSIDE AS WE REQUESTED. THE ORANGE GARDEN IS ONE BLOCK FAR FROM THE ADDRESS INDICATED. POOR INFORMATION AT FRONT DESK,ASSISTANTS DO NOT SPEAK ENGLISH.NO CREDIT CARDS ACCEPTED. AIRPORT TRANSPORTATION IS ONLY ONE WAY. DRIVER SMOKES INSIDE THE VAN JUST BEFORE TAKING PASSENGER TO THE AIRPORT. WE ARE VERY DISSAPIONTED, NEVER AGAIN IN THIS PLACE, NOT RECOMMENDABLE. I have to say that the booking from the website was good. I booked two double rooms and this was confirmed to me, however upon arrival at the hotel we were told to leave our luggage and come back in an hour and a half to check in as the rooms were not ready. After nearly three hours later we were taken round to the private apartment and taken into a room (one room) we were told by the bellboy that this was for all four of us and two of us had a bedroom and two of us would have to sleep on a sofabed! I was obviously not happy at all with this as we had arranged for two double room per couple. We then had to drag our cases back to the hotel and we were told very sorry but the other room would not be available until tomorrow. I then had to ask for some compensation as none was offered to me. The gentlemen who was dealing with me offered me one night fee off. We then walked back to the hotel with our cases and looked for extra sheets and blankets to make up the sofabed, there were non to be found so we had to go back to the main hotel and ask, we were given one sheet a blanket and one pillow which I felt was very poor. The next day we finally got the other room in the late afternoon. Our trip to Rome was great but I felt the start of it was a let down and made us all feel quite upset. I was travelling with my Son and his wife who was six months pregnant at the time and I felt that she did not need the unecessary stress. If we had been told that the rooms were not available until Friday 25th September I would have arrived on that day rather than wasting time on the Thursday and feeling very diappointed. I would appreciate your feedback regarding this matter, and any compensation would be very welcome. Yours faithfully Frank Hughes

I booked this Orange garden because they have a jet bath. Yes, they had a jet bath but it was very dirty and it was very discusting. Also the bathtub has reakage so the entire bath room floor was very wet. The employee of hotel were most impertinence. When I ask about train schedule, he did not want bather to check for me. I got most of good service any other city B&B except this Orange Garden. I had a great time in Italy this time every where. Naple, Verona, Sorento and Vicenza. I stayed B&B each city, and All good hospitality. I must think that Big city does not care customer because they have a lot of customer?

This property is a great MISREPRESENTATION. It is a dump and a disgrace!!! The "private jacuzzi bath" was a gross open shower & toilet accross the hallway. The bed spread was stained and the noise from the street was overwhelming. The entrance to the Orange Garden is an overgrown, spooky and run-down, messy yard. It was horrible and we asked to be moved to something else. Without hesitation the desk clerk from the actual hotel moved us to the Starhotel 5 minutes away. This was a great property. We told the receptionist what happened and she said "this happens ALL the time"... Please take this property off your list as this is a disgrace to your name.

We stayed in 3 star hotels thru out Italy. This bed and breakfast was both the best and the worst of any place we stayed. What made this B&B so good was the incredible breakfast, in the 4 star hotel, with an awesome view of the Vatican while you were eating. What this B&B needs to improve on was the room. We stayed 2 nights and the 2nd night the lights kept going off and there was no hot water in the night or in the morning. --Also the bathroom for our room was down the hall. The room inself was small with zero view. But for a person that spends very little time in the room and wants to save some money, and still have a short walk to the Vatican, and an incredible breakfast which is better than any other 3 star hotel offers -- Then this place may still be OK for you. God Bless you and your travels !!

I was very dissappointed in Orange Garden, which is an isolated renovated B&B house located in a seedy, noisy neighborhood one block from the Atlante Star Hotel, which manages the property. The picture shown on the site is of an Atlante Star room, not the Orange Garden. There were no staff or other travellers on site. It was a terrible experience and I did not sleep at all on the one night we stayed there. I felt very unsafe in the building. Rooms were small, but OK. O.G. did not pick us up at the airport, as promised, so it cost us an additional $40.00 taxi ride late at night to get to the B&B. The next morning I requested that Atlante Star move us to a room in the hotel, which they did graciously. One staff member, who greeted us upon our arrival for Orange Garden and the next morning was RUDE. Other staff at Atlante Star Hotel were wonderful. Forget going to Orange Garden, opt for the Atlante Star (at $20 more per night)! Five star rooftop garden restaurant with the best view of Vatican City and Rome!

I did pick the Orange Garden for the hotel pick up from the Airport and the rooftop garden - neither of these happenend - my pick up from the airport didnt arrive as driver had an accident(ok not his fault- but no message left at airport for me to know this?)also no rooftop garden as work was being done on it - which I cant belive doing this in June- but besides that - it was the best buffett breakfast ever and the most drop dead georguous receptionist - so we didnt complain - we was happy with everything else the hotel had to offer!
