The B&B was good value for the money. Paola took plenty of time to welcome us, draw a map of the local environs, and suggest sights and restaurants. There is no breakfast served here, as the law in Italy forbids B&Bs from serving food, so there were some wrapped/sealed sweet cakes supplied in the room. Coffee service was also provided. The room was small (no place to set down two small suitcases), but the bed was comfortable and welcoming after long days of sightseeing on foot. A bus stop is 40 steps from the front door. We ate at the restaurant next door, and enjoyed good food and wine at a reasonable price. Plus--easy access to the Colosseum Minus--Our bathroom could have used some extra attention from the cleaning service, as there were cobwebs above the door in plain view, and the grout around the tile in the shower was dark in some spots. I would recommend a stay here--the room was easy on our budget.

Easy to get to from the train station...bus or metro. You can see the Colosseum from the from entrance. The proprietor was extremely accommodating. I would stay here the next time I visit Rome without a doubt.

Paola is amazing, kind, and so helpful. The room was fantastic, the bathroom was great, everything is immaculate, and the location could not have been better. It's five minutes walk from the Colosseum, there's an internet cafe across the street, and a bank on the corner (20 yards). I highly recommend it. I also felt very safe at night coming back in.

The stay was real great for everything. Paola is really professionnal. The room is nice decorated and not so small as the people write. ( for an European citizen ... ) If you are in Rom to visit the town and really discover it, it's the perfect place for you ... all touristic monuments are in the neighborhood. The place is really quiet, except for some neighboors who are sometimes disturbing at night. We thank you really.

If I go back to Rome it will be to Opera. Paola has been a great hostess. The situation is unbeatable. It's much better than other areas of the city, like Piazza Spagna (fancy but not real Rome) and Vatican City. The room was great and also the attention. Highly recommended!!!

We spent 4 nights at the Opera & what the room lacked in size, it made up for in charm. Paola welcomed us with a bottle of wine & was always available with information & the recommended local resturants were superb. The room was spotless & had a plentiful supply of coffee, croissants, cake etc. The Opera is ideally situated; we were able to walk everywhere(even to the train station with luggage in 15 minutes). We had a fabulous stay courtesy of the delightful Paola and would stay here again if / when we return to Rome

I enjoyed the warmhearted welcome with a bottle of wine. Paola's friend who waited for me when I arrived was very friendly, and Paola herself also was. The location was excellent to experience ancient Roma, which I liked very much about.
