Just perfect! The location (a quiet street next to San Giovanni in Laterano) is strategic for visiting Rome; the room was big and clean; breakfast was good; Monika was very nice with us and our children; the restaurant se suggested (Isidoro) was very good (especially the "ravioli with pecorino and zafferano" and, as clients of Obelus, we had a 15% discount.

We hava had a very good stay in Obelus. The location is excellent, you can rich the Colosseum with a nice 10-minutes walk. Our room was very clean and spacious. Monika, the responsible for the B&B, is very nice, kind and helpful.

Great relationship price quality. The room was big with private toilet. Near the subway. I would come back.

Excellent service, location is a bit noisy at night due to proximity of a hospital. However, it is also extremely convenient to the metro and the Colosseum, so I guess that's the trade off.

Lina, the hostess, is delightful and really sets the tone for the B&B. She gave us great recommendations for restaurants. Our room was the smallest one and we had to get really creative with where we put our luggage. There were no drawers to put things in so we did live out of our suitcases while staying there. Our room was very quiet. Breakfast is just okay in my opinion. Beer and wine were made available to us which was a very nice touch.

The staff (Carola, Liz and Lena) at Obelus were friendly, supportive and informative. The room was neat, tidy, secure and central to our travels....whether walking to the Appian Way or to the Villa Borghese, Obelus proved central to our explorations and close to the termini.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Obelus. The 2 young ladies who looked after us could not have been friendlier or more helpful. The room and breakfast area were spotless and charming, and the breakfast itself was good. The location was perfect-just round the corner from the Scala Sancta and only 10 minutes walk to the Coliseum. Altogether an excellent place to stay in Rome.

Being a young professional, I traveled on a low budget and simply wanted a clean, safe place to sleep while I spent the day seeing the sights. Overall I had a wonderful stay and could not have asked for a better experience. Rooms: There are three rooms available, 2 doubles and one triple. I stayed in a double with a friend, which was two single beds side by side - very comfortable. The room was very clean and made up every day, though being budget the sheets were not changed daily - this did not bother us however. Room was on the small size but not uncomfortably so, though we were traveling with only carry-on luggage. Bathroom was modern, decent size, with hairdryer, clean. The B+B was an apartment that the owners had renovated just two years ago. Overall, clean, up-to-date and comfortable, all very important! Location: Just 1.5 blocks away from a major bus line and about 2 blocks from the metro. Very convenient for sight-seeing; we could go wherever we wanted very easily. Just steps away are some restaurants, gelato shop, to-go deli/pizza type of place, and small convenience stores. Neighborhood not too bad, and when my friend hadn't arrived in town yet, as a single female I felt safe walking around at 10pm. The area is also quiet, and we slept very well. Staff: Carola was such a delightful personality and very helpful. She was very accomodating to all our needs, and provided a map and basic orientation to the city as well as tips, sights to see, and patiently answered all my questions. The B+B is not manned 24/7, and the hostess (Carola was one of two) is there from 7am (to prepare breakfast) to 2pm. Services: Breakfast is served at 7am, or earlier if you should have early travel plans. It consisted of cereal, rolls, pastries, with jam and nutella spread. Coffee, cappuccino, orange juice, and milk were available. Seems to be the typical fare for Italy, and I was plenty satisfied.

Obelus is a wonderful B&B. It's a great value! Comfortable, quiet rooms. The B&B is very close to public transportation, so it's easy to get all over Rome. Best of all were the hosts who were so welcoming and helpful.

This was the first place we stayed on our trip to Europe and it was a great way to start! Carola and Therese were wonderful hosts who helped with lots of information about the city and the immediate area. Carola even helped us find out how to get to Ortona for the next leg of our trip. The location is excellent, clean, safe and easy for walking or taking the bus or metro to the various attractions and parts of the city. The room was a good size, quiet and you could use the common area to relax. I highly recommend the B&B Obelus. Did I say the hosts were great?!

We called Obelus about a week prior to our reservation and then e-mailed to confirm. We had e-mailed our flight itinerary and the owners offered to hire transportation from FCO for us - 3 people $40 euro total - worked out perfectly. Our room was very clean & comfortable. The B&B is located off a smaller street therefore quieter than some of the 4-star hotels where we stayed. Obelus had continental breakfast for us in the morning - croissants, yogurt, coffee . . . the owners also speak excellent english and provided us with a map of the city. The location is ~1/2 block from a metro stop without having to cross any streets & a bus stop is at the same intersection. We felt very safe in this mostly residential neighborhood - we needed a key to enter the building, a key to get into the common area of the B&B and then another key to enter our room. I would not hesitate to stay here again.
