First of all the b&b is located near termini station, opposite to vittorio emanuelle square (piazza) which is not such a welcoming area, but it is convenient for someone looking for a place to stay near the metro station. The breakfast was poor( only some biscuits and croissants and milk ).Only one shampoo in the bathroom. But Andrea, the host, was very very welcoming and kind and provided us with some information.Over all the rooms were very spacious and clean and very warm with comfortable beds.Hot water available all time as well. good worth of money.

Surrounding area was better than expected: very multietnical zone but pretty quiet. Very well connected with public transport lines. We enjoyed the privacy of the room. Two bathrooms are available, so we never had to wait for it. Room was very spacious and nice, nothing special but it's perfect for the use we needed: get in and out without time limits and have a nice bed to sleep. Only one remark is about breakfast, it could be improved. But you'll anyway find something to eat.

1. Location is not marked. Hard to find the house number which then includes ~10 apartments with name tags, one of which is micasasucasa. 2. Located in china town of Rome, which looks like the ghetto and smells horrible with bums sleeping on the sidewalks. 3. Staff has no idea of the guests arriving. Had to stand outside at 10PM in that part of town ringing the door bell. Do not know how the owners decided to show up over a half hour later and actually let us in. 4. It is however a good bargain. Location is close to Roma Termini and the A metro line, but they fail to mention that the line in under construction ~August 2011 and the stop at this location is closed but there are buses that run that route.

We have never seen the owner of the apartment during our stay. We have been in contact with him only by phone. He is a rude and a very unpleasant guy. We have been very nice in our messages to him, but he always answer you giving orders, without any "hello". If you do not come at the apartment at the time he wants, he will tell you to look for another hotel ! He talks to people very direspectfully. We have never ever seen and been in contact with such a rude person !

It's quite cheap (40 euros / night for two people + 2 euros city tax / person ), not far from the train station of Rome. But, we have to inform the owner when you wanna check in. Doors are all very old and it's very loud when someone closes or opens doors. Anyway, it's cheap and location is good (10 min's walk from the train station.) Strongly recommend it to young travellers.

Beds and rooms are fine. The breakfast is poor - packaged croissants or milk cereal. There are tea bags, but NO kettle to boil the water. It's what I expected for this price range, really. The biggest problem is the staff. Firstly, they are not Italians; secondly they are incompetent. I will not stay here again because of the latter aspect. Because no staff lives or works daily at the property, they REQUIRE you to notify them of the EXACT time of your arrival. What kind f backpacker knows that kind of information is beyond me - trains can run delays; airlines can have issues with baggage; wi-fi access in Italy is not a sure thing; finding the place for people who've never been to Rome may take some time. We had to wait one hour at the door because the guy wasn't there. When I called him, he said that he wasn't there because I didn't confirm my arrival time in advance. And then he told me that if I wanted to stay somewhere else, it's "no problem". Having no other place to stay, we resorted to waiting for an hour for him to come and check us in. I do NOT recommend this place - there are other B&Bs around Termini for the same $, but much better. Stella's House is one such place, where we stayed after getting out if Mi Casa Tu Casa. P.S.Turned out *after* Venere sent me the Confirmation of Reservation, Mi Casa Tu Casa sent me ANOTHER email asking to confirm our arrival time. They asked to have it confirmed "at least" 24 hours in advance, even though I made the reservation LESS than a day before our arrival. AND I specified via Venere our estimated arrival time in mid-afternoon around 3-5 pm. P.p.s. Where this b&b is located is the more shady side of Termini - areas directly North and East are much less sketchy, specially at night.

Clean and tidy b&b, all you need for a short stay.Minimal style yet pleasant. Located in a multiethnic area of Rome, it might not look so at first but it is. Well connected to transport system and only one stop from Termini railway station. The minor hics are the absence of live-in staff and a very "light" continental breakfast, but okay if you are not planning a long stay. Good value for money. I would recommend it to my friends.

Doors between two rooms should be removed (our neighbour was snoring like hell, we were lucky to have ear plugs), doors from corridor to rooms should be mended to offer better locks and also less noise and light from outside. I would recommend to state a real breakfast offer, as abundant is not a word for that, I would rather describe it as modest. Otherwise nice place to stay.

Very nice and quiet place for affordable price. The room was clean and the conditions as described on webpage. I strongly recommend the hotel to everyone who wants to stay in Rome for a few days. If I need to say sth bad about it, it would be poor breakfast.

We didn't expect too much - but what was really disappointing was the kitchen with "breakfast included"; there was no breakfast at all, we only found some dry crackers and there wasn't a possibility to prepare coffee - if you didn't want to do it in a microwave... The room was really big but as well as loud, the double bed was two joined mattresses. Bathromms were clean and quite nice. We liked the ubication, did everything walking.

Mi Casa Tu Casa was an excellent bed and breakfast. It satisfied all of our needs. We simply wanted a place to sleep when we got back home from a day of sightseeing. Mi Casa Tu Casa provided just that. Our room was gigantic and clean and the bed was very comfortable. Overall, a great place to stay. Thanks!

There are some very negative reviews about Mi Casa Tu Casa here but our experience was great. We got what we paid for and what was described on Venere. The room was HUGE. We had a double bed and 2 single beds in our room. We had two freestanding wardrobes too. The noise level was as would be expected for an inner city accomodation - cars, trams, infrequent sirens. As the rooms are on the 5th floor, the noise actually was not so bad. The heating was great and the shower was satisfactory with good temperature. The building is pretty and you can open the window in your room. The only complaint was that the room smelt a bit musty but the building is probably very very old and again, for 39 Euro for 2 people a night....not a problem. Patrizia greeted us and was very welcoming. We asked her for a map and she found one for us promptly. Other than our greeting, we were left to enjoy the room and amenities at our own leisure and I really enjoyed the privacy we had there. All the common areas were clean and we didn't experience any problems with waiting for showers or use of kitchen etc. Yes, the breakfast was not for me (biscuits, cereal, packaged croissants) but in Rome, you can find cheap breakfast and great coffee everywhere. There is a refrigerator in the kitchen and we bought some food and left it in the fridge with no problem. The Italian coffee provided was great. Of course, this is not a hotel so, for 39 Euros for two people per night, you get clean towels and sheets and, these are not changed. For 39 Euros.....what do you expect. And how often do you change your sheets at home? Once a week? The location was great, so close to the metro (2 minutes out the door) and, in fact we walked all around Rome for our first four days and only caught the metro on our last day there. Everything in Roma is accessible from Mi Casa Tu Casa by foot, including the Colosseum. If you prefer not to walk, then, yes the Metro is close by. There is a gelati store down the

November 2010, CLEAN and SAFE – you will get 4 keys totally, VERY CHEAP - low season, 40 euro room. It was out first visit to Italy, 6 days holiday, we had no idea what should a standard for B&B. This B&B was not like a usual hotel but like a large flat with several rooms and two bathrooms. You MUST to have MOBAILE PHONE to contact the owner if you come late/early than you suppose to come, otherwise you will wait. There was now sign on the building, we arrived at the dark time and it took 45 minutes to find the place in spite of it should take 5 minutes from metro. If you are there at the first time you must have a god map because that one that you get from internet is not enough. We got a room with 4 beds, it was a large one but with old cigarette smoke smell, it was extremely unpleasant for us, no smoking people. It was unexpected because smoking was allowed only at the kitchen. You will get one large bath towel but no one for hands. It was very dark in the room, not possible to read. Breakfast – you boil water in the cap at the “microwave” because there is no kettle, you can eat some kind of bread with some jam from different common jam-jar in the fridge. Milk. If you continue to go from metro you will find a nice SUPERMARKET 200 m from B&B and OLDEST ICE CREAM FACTORY at the same street.

A basic but very clean and spacious room with one double and two single bed. Certainly large enough for a family. Situated on the fifth floor - thankfully there is a lift in a rather imposing building, its location is within easy walk of all the main sites. Breakfast is a 'do it yourself' affair, once again very basic but you just help yourself, coffee, tea, cereal, biscuits, toast, croissants etc. 10 minutes walk from Termini station so its location is very good and there is a Metro two minutes walk away. We used that to get to the Vatican - one Euro, one person, one journey -what could be easier. Only met Andrea- very nice guy, friendly and helpful. Yes would recommend this after all -you get what you pay for and for a short city break you only want somewhere to lay your head, clean up and leave your bags. So this is the place to do it.

Andrea met me as arranged and was very helpful with his explanations of the key system. There was an elevator to the apartment so no climbing stairs with your luggage!. Everything was spotlessly clean and decorated simply but very stylishly. The kitchenette was perfect; you could have made a spaghetti dinner in it. Breakfast was a prepare-your-own coffee and packaged brioche but the coffee was really good! Two bathrooms down the hall had showers and a hair dryer. There was no air con. so it might be hot in summer but was perfect in spring. From my room which looked on to the inner courtyard there was little noise from outside but there was only a door between my bedroom and the next one. Fortunately my neighbor didn't snore! It was an easy walk from Termini train station. I only stayed one night but I would go back again and stay longer. It is great value.

The Rooms are good, but they do not offer any service like cleaning rooms. The breakfast is very poor. You have to make your own breakfast and you have to clean the dishes. The surroundings are not nice, it seems dangerous but it isn´t and it is more or less good situated. WE had to pay for leaving our bags a pair of hours in the hall of the B&B until our train left!!!! This was the first time that I pay only for leaving my bags in the hall of a hotel. I would not return to this B&B. Next time I will try another one.

The place is an apartament whose rooms are rented, it is a plain place with lightly improvised closets, a fan, no TV or radio, fine to spend the night, do not expect nothing luxurious just equivalent to 2 stars, price is expensive for the place from my own experience on different countries but Rome is very expensive. A little noisy before midnight because of a kind of bar or something similar, but later fine. Breakfast consist in a packed croissant with cocoa filling, some X cookies and coffee. People I met there were nice and friendly, from Uruguay. Transportation is easy by metro, try to be clear after getting out the metro station if you should turn left or right, so you will save the sight of drunk men sleeping around there. I talked to the receptionist man only when arrived. I suggest Venere to indicate the floor of the B&B on its page. I suggest the B&B to introduce guests on how to use the light switch at entrance, it's really dark there at night. Thanks.

We stayed for 4 nights. Great location, great facilities for the price. 10 minutes walk to the Termini Station, plenty of shops right beside the square. 20 minutes walk to the main atractions although i would suggest doing the tour bus early on your trip, lets you see exactly where everything is, and most of them do a hop on-hop off service. Rooms were a good size, and very clean. The shared bathrooms didn't bother us at all, we didn't have to fight over them at all. Overall a great place, would recomend it to anyone.

Rooms were big and nicely decorated. No complaints about it. One of the toilets with no light for a couple of nights (the one with no window, so we couldn't use it) the girl working there a bit serious, not very 'italian' or my idea of italian people. But nice girl anyway. The B&B was in the middle of 'China town', big surprise! close to the train station (10 min aprox) Nice place but i wee bit overprice in my opinion.

I liked the way an effort was made to make the decor look fresh and modern even though it was an old building. It felt like you could live there. I would recommend staying here as it is very close to everything, however if you have a room facing the street it is noisey so do bring earplugs. The staff could have been more friendly.

A very mixed bag, this one. You get a clean & reasonably priced room with pleasant IKEA-style furnishings, shared bath & access to a kitchen; so far so good. The mattress wasn't great, but was acceptable for two nights. Breakfast was strictly self-service & included some fruit which had seen much better days. The neighborhood is grim, even for a visiting New Yorker, but it's very close to a Metro stop & not a long walk to okay areas or the Colisseum. The detailed transit map posted on the kitchen wall was a nice touch. My big problem with MiCasaTuCasa was that the owner & staff are not on site. Because they hadn't made it clear in their first email that they are only there by appointment, I waited nervously with my bags on their shabby street & in the vestibule for 45 minutes before I found someone who'd call & ask where they were. (The lady was very nice once she arrived.) On departure, I wanted them to hold my suitcase, but they had no better solution than to tell me to leave it in the hallway--which was neither secure for my bag nor easy for me to retrieve, the worst of both worlds. So if you want a host on-site to talk to or help solve problems, don't stay here. (The cozy name meaning "My house is your house" is a major misnomer for this place!) If you just want clean & basic accommodations with access to a kitchen, & are not picky about the neighborhood, it's okay. It's a matter of taste. I did not like it.

The b&b had no clear signage out front, but was located exactly as described. The premises were very clean and comfortable, and the breakfast included was more than satisfactory for my needs. The Metro and buses were located conveniently if I needed to use them, and I could easily walk from the train station. I would certainly stay here again should I return to Roma.
