Good impression, warm welcome, friendly owner. Our only problem was the difficulty of communication, as the owner, unfortunately, doesn't speak English and we don't speak Italian, but all the same communication is possible) Near the B & B Leonard is a grocery store and a small market, which is very convenient) Metro Station is also close, only for a 3 minutes walk. Comfortably relax as a family and with friends! Highly recommended B & B Leonard!

Were in Rome for the first time, booked a hotel beforehand, unfortunately the owner of the BB was not in place in the days of our stay in Rome was not, we were met by his cousin, who almost did not understand English. And so it was like, all that was promised on the website. Booked double room and a room apart from the big bed was still an additional single bed, for our child .Edinstvennoe-like house slippers on the floor-covering tiles everywhere, because it is a little uncomfortable there. We recommend this bb!

Very nice place overall. Leonard is probably the greatest attraction. He is dedicated, friendly and extremely helpful, making a 120% effort to ensure your stay is as pleasent and confortable as possible. He does not speak english, but his daughter is only a phone call away and she translates very well. Highly recommended!

Once you find someone to let you in, it's a terrific place. The host is a prince of a guy and even did our laundry for us. Tho there is a free laundry, it;s a digital monster. our clothes were laid across the beds that evening. The only problem is finding who has the keys, after 6PM, it could be difficult. On the street you turned down before the BandB, there is a luggage shop which has a small sign saying BandB Leonard. This lady will call Leonard and he will let you in. Three stores down is a coffee shop where the owner speaks English and will provide you with coffee, juice and pastry, if you arrive early. By 10AM, the pastry is gone. These are wonderful people and couldn't be more helpful. This is miles from the nearest tourist area and about 8 metro [ which only cost 1 E for any distance} stops away from the mobs. A huge quality jump from the Termini Area, but add on the travel time and it may be a wash. Area food is cheaper but still northern Italian bland. Stick with the lasagna.

Leonard is a wonderful guy. Unfortunately he was out of town when we arrived. His fill in was very difficult to communicate with and also provided misinformation. We were so glad to see the real Leonard show up. He put us at ease and we enjoyed the rest of our stay. Breakfast (pastry & beverage) is available at the coffee shop around the corner or in the kitchen. It should be noted that staying here is basic and more like being in someone's house, less living room. Private bathroom may mean that an accordian door is pulled across the area to indicate that it is part of your room and not for general use. If this is okay with you, it's a great place to stay. Travellers should be aware that currently the Metro closes at 9:00 p.m. except for Saturdays.

We stayed 6 nights at Leonardo´s. It is situated in a normal residential area in the basement of an appartement house. The center is easily accessible by tube. What struck us most, is the excellent service and kindness of the owners. E.g.we had asked for 3 single beds in advance. When we came there we found out that they had changed a twin - bed for two single beds just for us. The breakfast in the bar around the corner, caffe latte and a croissant, presented elegantly with a radiant smile, gave us the feeling of a part- time belonging to this marvellous city.

Leonard B&B is perfect for young people spending a few nights in Roma. We(3 friends, 20-26)stayed there for 3 nights and enjoyed the lovely and personal atmosphere the owner, Leonardo, created there. He came to the apartment to make us breakfast every morning and although he can´t speak English, it was not a big problem to communicate "with hands and feet". If there were any communication problems anyway, you could also talk to his daughter... The room is simple, but clean (and very cheap for Roma) and perfect if you don´t want to spend your holidays in your room:) The apartment consists of 2 rooms (1 for 3people, the other we don´t know) and a kitchen you can use altogether. We were very pleased staying in B&B Leonard and thank Leonardo for his kindness. Love from Germany

Leonard is a very gracious and wonderful host. We arrived on a Sunday morning, very hungry. Although most restaurants were closed, he walked us around the neighborhood until he found one open and made sure we knew our way back before leaving us there. He was always prompt for serving breakfast in the morning. But the best thing was his gregarious personality and effort to make our stay very enjoyable. Even though it's not a fancy place, it's one of the nicest places we've ever stayed because he makes such an effort to make you welcome. Will definitely stay there again if we're ever in Rome.

Leonard the owner was very lovely. He made sure to check on us at least once a day, he even drove us to the train station on the day of our flight to insure we wouldn't be late. The rooms were very spacious and the shower had good water pressure (not that common in Italy). The breakie was a typical Italian one, so VERY good coffee coupled with a pastry of your picking. (Luckily there is a bakery right next to the B&B so you can top off your breakfast with a little more food.) The B&B was a way out of the heart of Rome, but the metro was just a 3min walk away so it was not a problem. We enjoyed our stay.

Great location, nice rooms, nice surroundings! But the main attraction of this place is the host and owner - Leonard! He picked me up at the station, gave me advice (I don't speak Italian so he really made an efford to make me understand!), accompanied to the cafe for breakfasts and gave me the flavour of the Italian culture and life. Thanks to that I had a really good time in Rome! I recommend this place to all! Grazie Leonardo! :)

We stayed in Rome for 3 nights. We are a young married couple that did not want to stay in a hostel but we also did not have the money to stay in a hotel in central Rome. Hotel Leonard was the answer! Our host was wonderful. He did not speak English but he was very effective at communicating. Also, his daughter was available by telephone to speak in English if needed. Lodging in Rome is very expensive and Hotel Leonard B&B is a delightful alternative to an expensive hotel and it is still conveniently located just outside central Rome and close to the metro.

I recommend this hotel for price, quality, amenities, and everything.I had a kid,and Leonard came to hotel station and picked me.No one in this world would do it for free of charge. Its not about cost even, during that night, an old person coming to station , matters alot. Its about safety, and taking good care of the customers. Kitchen facility is awesome. I would stay again in this hotel, if I had to go to Rome again. Thanks, Muralidhar

Leonardo is a very nice gentleman. A little tricky finding and you're better off going to the leather shop or snack bar around the corner to find Leonardo rather than meeting at the B&B. Easy access to the Metro and a "real" neighborhood experience. Good tratatoria just up the street.

Leonard is a very nice and warmhearted guy. He tried to provide as much service as he can during our stay. The facililties in the kitchen is helpful and make you feel staying at home. The B&B is a little difficult to be found when it is the first time for you to arrive although it is very close to the metro station. Suggest to check with the host before your trip.

My wife and i stayed at b&b leonard in sept 2008. this is a very quiet, clean and comfortable place, far away from the hustle/bustle of touristy rome. the owner (leonardo) is a very nice man - he doesn't really speak english so that was the only difficulty. but you can really tell he cares about making your stay comfortable. his son also works around the corner at their leather goods store. a simple, free breakfast is offered at a cafe/bar around the corner as well. the place was a bit hard to find as its not in a touristy area and not many people spoke english around there - apart from that, we really liked our stay and would not hesitate to go back.

An excellent low cost budget service. Well connected to Metro & buses. Our room was very clean and well looked after. There are only 2 rooms. We had a shared kitchen for doing our own thing. Can have breakfast prepared for you but 09:00 it was too late for us since we needed to get going early each day. The owner is very very nice and helpful if you understand Italian; a bit confusing if you are an Anglophone only! His daughter provides a good translation of everything via the telephone that's in the kitchen. It was in the mid 30s [even though this was May/June]so we know the AC worked fine! On arrival you need to go around the corner [different street] or phone to get access, we had a little difficulty understanding the procedure and have suggested to the owner some ideas to fix this.

Has to be THE place to stay in rome! The sheer excellence in terms of value for money was surely better than we could have hoped for. We felt very welcome with the wonderful Leonard and daughter Christiana. If we had any queries we had concerning the local area/transport/places to eat etc Leonard was always very heplful and provided maps for our stay too. The location of B&B Leonard is the perfect distance from the centre to give your stay the breathing space you need for a relaxing break. Plus it's very close (around 2 mins walk!) to the Ponte Lungo underground station for easy access to the centre. The rooms are huge and you also have access to a kitchen for preparing your own meals. We are truly indebted to Leonard and Christiana for such a wonderful stay in Rome and can not express enough our gratitude for their kindness and warmth. Grazie così tanto Leonard!!!! My husband and I stayed at Bed and Breakfast Leonardo for 2 nights while in Rome. Leonardo and his daughter were extremely welcoming and helpful. The room was quiet and clean, simple and worth the little money asked for it. The location is pretty much removed from Rome's main attractions, but the Metro is right around the corner and quickly takes you anywhere in the city. Inexpensive, clean and courteous, we loved our stay. Leonardo even woke up way too early in the morning to take us to the airport, he is very kind, and sent us off with a good feeling for the city of Rome and its people. Thank You Leonardo

Bed&Breakfast Leonardo is not a hotel in its meaning. It is an apartment with 2 rooms. I loved it there. The room was big and clean, the beathroom did not have a bathtub it had only a shower but it was clean and nice. The area were the b&b was located was peaceful and very close to the metro and train station about 10 min by foot.

We went to Rome as part of our honeymoon during New Year's 2009 and stayed at Leonard B&B for 5 nights. The B&B has two large, clean rooms with a double bed and a single bed in both. One room has an attached bathroom and the other has a bathroom right next to the room and is enclosed with the room from the rest of the house with a divider, so you do get your privacy. Leonard is a very gracious host and was very sweet and helpful. He took us on a sightseeing drive in his car the first day with the other couple who was staying at the B&B. And he dropped us off at the nearby Tuscolana train station to go to the airport when we were leaving. The location of the B&B is great, it's very close (~5 min walk) to the Ponte Lungo train station where you take the metro to go to all the sightseeing places. We were given the option of eating breakfast at home (stocked with biscuits, cake, croissants, coffee) or at the bar he owns about 2 minutes away (pastry and coffee). He speaks very little English but his daughter acted as a translator over the phone for the difficult parts. On the whole, it was a very enjoyable stay and Leonard is a really nice guy whose kindness and helpfulness comes across even with the language barrier. Definitely recommend this B&B, for it's value - good price, good location, good rooms!

It's the most excellent B&B I've ever took! The owner of the house, Leonardo, is very kind and warmhearted, and also does his daughter. They gave us so much help. Thanks! Thanks very much! There's a big kitchen in the B&B. We finally can cook chinese food by ourselves. You know, after a half month travlling, we werw all missing the food of hometown very much. We spend 4 days in Leonardo's. When we were going back, he drived us to the railway station for taking train to airport. And we took a photo together. it's memorable...

Gorąco polecam :) Very nice room (cheap but clean place), Leonardo is a fantastic men !Near metro station Punto Lungo

It was perfet for people that like cheap but clean place and do not bother about sharing an house with others cause practically it is a flat with 2 wedding rooms (with also a single bed for a kid), both with private bathroom; the common kitchen is furnished with everything you need for breakfast and you can also prepare your food anytime you want (but we decided to go out also for lunch and supper). Also breakfast in bar around the corner is avaiable (except sundays and national holidays).Leonard (the owner) will leave you phone numbers in case you need, maps, information and anything he can provide for you. It is very close to San Giovanni in Laterano church and not too far from the hystorical centre, otherwise the metro is only 5 minutes walking. I would like to come back.

Though the building is not really new, the interior of the B&B is neat and clean. It's within 10 min. walk to metro (Ponte Lungo), yet it's rather quiet during the night that you can really have a good night rest. The neighborhood is very lively. You can almost buy anything you need for the tour in and around Rome. Within 5 min. walk, you can find a bakery, a coffee shop (where you can have breakfast free if you're a guest of the B&B), a fruit/grocery store, a pharmacy, a book store, a home delivery pizza. Don't miss the yummy ice cream (Il Gelato di Procope)at the street corner near metro (Re di Roma). It's around 15 min walk from the B&B. There's always a long cue in front of the store. You shouldn't miss it. The B&B is run by an Italian gentleman who cannot speak English. But you can surely feel his sincere welcome during your stay. He also runs a leather shop around the corner. He's willing to provide any prompt help when needed. On my last day, I need to buy a detailed map in order to drive from Rome to Pompeii. Mr. Longo brought me to three book stores until I finally got what I needed. He also called his daughter (Cristiana), who can speak English, to come from other side of the city to help. My family were quite at home in the four days with their handy help. Despite the shower room is quite small and the very basic breakfast(a croissant and a cup of coffee), I definitely will recommend this B&B to those who are tired of standard commercialized service and enjoy a bit more the personal touch with something lost in translation:-)
