The room was clean but very small. We stayed 5 nights and we got shower gel only for the first day, so we had to buy our own afterwards. Breakfast was very good though.

The B&B La Porta was very close to metro station and only a few stops to all the magor attractions in Rome, very easy to get around.Although it is tucked away in a little side street I would highly recommend it, there are lots of great cafes and restaurants close by.The room was very nice and very clean The staff were not always available as the office was only opended in the mornings but very helpful when we were able to speak to them. I would stay there again.

Nice place for staying: clean room, good location (10 minutes walk from Roma Tiburtina, half-hour walk from Termini, quiet street), delicious croissant and capuchino for breakfast. Room has air-condition, big double-bed, wi-fi, fridge and microwave: what else needed?

Paolo is excellent. Rooms clean and changed daily. Breakfast - pastry and coffee. Dog barking at night and mornings plus a strange clunking sound overhead disturbed sleep. Otherwise great place.

The staff is really very kind: they keep our luggages and car safe, even the day after the rent. The "parking" is not really a car-park but a private street. But it's very safe. The room is quite and large. Bath-room is very nice. A good adress.

Very pleasant and nice ambient for our 7-days-stay. Nice b/w graphic (View at the bridgge and fortress St.Angels-Castello S Angelo) and reproduction of Rafaelo paintings show some of many beuties of Rome. Suitable for visitors (like us) to the University 'La Sapienza'. Excellent interactions with kind and professional staff of Inn La Porta(young lady and older lady at the reception, young man-cleaning the room)

The girl at the reception spoke very poor english, it was a bit difficult to understand her. A very important black ball from my side is that the breakfast consisted of a coffee and a croissant, nothing more. On the positive side, the place was clean, surrounded by a couple of shops, quiet and in a reasonable distance from the metro station.

Clean and quiet hotel in Rome. Thought a little bit far away from Termini Station, it is easy to access by metro or bus#649. The facilities are better then we had expected. One private shower and a corner with fridge and microwave. Suitable for backpackers to stay for several nights. Staffs are not always available at the reception, but guests are welcome to call anytime if need. English is not work very well with staffs, we can communicate eventually!

Good location, a bit out of the center between Tiburtina-station and Termini-station, in the student neighbourhood. Comfortable and clean family apartment. Lots of noise all night long from trafic and adjacent iron gate of the neighbours.

We went to Rome in vacation and we stayed 4 nights. We had 1 triple room with private bathroom that was very clean, big, with some utilities (refrigerator, AC, microwave). In room price we had included breakfast, which was composed from one cappuccino&pastry at the one bar near the building. The location is not so far from the center (3 metro station, in a quiet area, near the bus station and metro station (Bologna at 20 meters). The staff is very friendly. Conclusion, high quality at very good price. 4****

Me an my friend stayed in a deluxe double room. The only thing we have to criticise is the kitchenette: There is no water boiler or stove, just a microwave. And if you want to clean up the dishes you have to buy your own washing-up liquid and your own dish cloth. The room itself was really nice, with air condition, a tv and a nice bathroom. This property is more a self-service accommodation, cause there is not really a reception what was totally ok for us. But if you need a information you have to write a little note or call them. But they were all very nice so I am sure they will help you out with everything you want to know.

It was a bit far from the touristic Roma, but well communicated by subway or bus. The only thing I didnt like it was that the cleaner woke us up everyday at 9 with her loud voice even though we wanted to stay till later. However, we were in many other hotels around Europe in the same travel and it was the best accommodation with difference. Masimo gave us a warm welcome and help us with any doubt we had. So I would recommend it without any doubt.

Location was ok. It is located out in the suburbs but only 3 metro stops from the city center. The place was tough to find because it is on a little side street. It was about 5-10 minute walk from the metro station. There were plenty of food options in the area and a couple of small markets as well. The room was nice. It was spacious. It had a small kitchenette with a mini fridge and a microwave. The bathroom was pretty good. The room had a big tv with lots of channels. The bed was a little bit short though. Free breakfast(coffee and a pastry) provided by the restaurant right around the corner. Compared to most of the prices in Rome, the hotel value was pretty good but compared to other hotel prices in Europe it was not such a good value. The staff was the worst part. When we arrived, no one was there to check us in and we had to call a number and wait for help to arrive. The guy that showed up was disorganized and spoke no English. The rest of the staff was not much better and were actually kind of rude, especially the cleaning lady(who got me sick since she was hacking all over the place while cleaning the rooms). Overall, it was one of the cheapest places we found to stay in Rome and it is not a bad option but it might be worth it to pay a little extra to stay somewhere more central.

The room I stayed in was spacious and had all the facilities mentioned. I could even control the temperature of the air con, which made the room very comfortable. The bed was comfortable and the room was very clean. The shower was good and the towels provided were of a good size. The staff were friendly and the surrounding area was safe enough for my friend and I ( both girls ) to return home after a late dinner. I would definitely return!

Perfecto! Very nice atmosphere, good service and help in any case. E.g. I asked for a kettle and I got kettle, tea, sugar and crema :) I've also got help regarding taxi. The rooms were cleaned up and towels changed everyday. Very good location. Close to metro station, shops with Italian food, bakery, coffee bars, etc. You can feel atomsphere like Italian people live. It is not middle of the center - no crowdly too much. Good connection to centre - about 300m to metro station, e.g. 5 stops to Colosseo. Direct bus to Termini station but I didn't check due to traffic jumps. One minnor problem was communication with staff who speak English on beginner+ level. However, it is possible to communicate and get what you ask for. Regarding communication before coming, I've got email response in the same day. Generally, I think it is high value to price.

Very clean and close to metro (10 min walk). Family with older children (5 guests) stayed in the apartment which is two rooms with bathrooms and mini kitchens connected. For the price, excellent stay. The best things: Extremely clean and color scheme was comfortable, beds were ok to sleep in and had plenty of room. The worst things: very little if any hot water for showers in the mornings so everyone had cold showers (evening was a little better), no screens on windows (but AC worked great so really not a big problem), and no ironing board/iron. The staff was not on site when we arrived, but the guys at the garage called her for us and she came back from lunch to check us in (there's also a number by the door we could have called). The garage was right next door and very helpful allowing us to move the car to load and unload and then return it back to the garage until we picked it up later. For a budget hotel accommodating five guest this was an excellent facility with very friendly and helpful staff. We would certainly stay here again, but would hope they get the hot water sorted out first. :)

"La Porta" was wonderful! I had made a reservation for 5 people. We had a suite: two connected bedrooms, each with a kitchenette and its own bathroom. The suite was ground level, wheelchair-accessible. Breakfast in a nearby bar was included (great choices available). "La Porta" is located about 5 minutes from the metro station "Bologna". The bedrooms and bathrooms were very spacious and very clean. The air conditioning worked flawlessly and was very appreciated in the hot summer weather!

La Porta is a good hostel. Nice welcome, espacious room, nice and clean bathroom. In our room the Wifi internet was very low, they gave us a cable for fast conexion and it was great. The coffe and corneto is included in the price in a near coffe shop. It has microwave oven, little refrigerator and cups and dishes. Not in the centre of Rome but well comunicated by line 62 or metro. Our last night in Rome we move from there because we have a fly very early in the morning, if we had knew we can take the nocturne line 2 to termini station, we woudnt change hostal. Good deal for the price

La Porta is in a very convenient location, with a short walk or bus ride to the Metro subway. not to Termini station as indicated. There are many stores, money changing outlets and a bank in the area. Breakfast is located around the corner in a very nice bar and very friendly staff. Breakfast consists of coffee (cappuccino or espresso) and a pastry. More can be purchased. Anna and I enjoyed our 4 days there. We purchased a 3 day metro pass in the area, and traveled on bus, streetcar and subway everywhere.

We did stay in Rome for two days and had a beautiful appartment within B&B La Porta: two rooms connected by a door, with 2- and 3 beds, each with bathroom, a lot of space and fully equiped. Perfect accommodation! And good price too! The surrounding from the outside is not that beautiful; it is located in a small, crowded street. There is hardly no parking space available in front of the B&B. Limited spots and fully taken by garage firms and locals. Garage is available, but optional (additional 20 Euro/day!). One other remarkable thing is the way the Breakfast is organized: you will get tickets for the salon/bar in the neigborhoud of 1,90 Euro each for a cup of coffee and a cornetto. Typical Italian (they open at 6:30 and a lot of Italians take their breakfast overthere: one coffee and one cornetto). We liked it very much! Friendly and very nice people, good cornettos, although for us one is obviously not enough to start the day, we had to order more. But nice place and pleassant start of our trip by metro (400 meters away) into the center of Rome! Overall: we have good memories about this place!

It's quite very hard to find the hotel from the provided Map. However...Very very worth compared with price. Even it a bit too far from termini and balogna station, but all facilities (Microwave, plate and sink) is very easily to cook by ur own. The hotel client is very kind and sicerely. Toilet and room cleaned well everyday, Also the internet very fast and no any extra charges. Recommended

-Excellent access to public transport. The B&B is located in a not very beautiful but clean and safe residential area between Tiburtina railway/metro/long-distance bus station and Bologna metro station. Easy and rapid access by metro to Colosseum and to main railway station - Termini. -Friendly employees and helpful (however, as a general rule, it is recommended to exercise some basic italian before each journey to Italy) -Overall good impression (we even got a small and pleasant surprise when arriving: due to the fact that it was the Easter Day, we found a huge chocolate egg waiting for us in the room)
