Owner Girandola is very welcoming. He doesn't really speaks English but will try his best to communicate and tell you how to get to places. Hotel is within 5 mins to Termini Station which makes travelling very convenient. Rooms were clean, bathroom is small but sufficient and clean enough. Overall I will definitely stay and recommend La Girandola B&B!

La Girandola is VERY close to the Termini and is therefore quite noisy until late evening. The area is, to say the least, a cultural melting pot and whilst we at no time felt at risk some people may feel intimidated by groups of men hanging around in the surrounding streets. La Girandola is clean and comfortable and Guglielmo and the other staff were helpful and cordial at all times. The room is very handy for all forms of public transport and depite slight issuses with the noise levels it does make a good base for sight seeing. Also there are lots of places to eat nearby if you have walked yourself half to death.

Fantastic hotel. The surrounding are a bit dodgy but the hotel is clean and the welcome is great. It is close to the train station which I'd great because you can get to any attraction you want via the metro.Would happily return.

We stayed here because of it's very close proximity to Termini. Everything was very clean, breakfasts were good, and the owner went out of his way for us. It is a small place and quite different from a hotel setting, however it worked beautifully for the four of us, myself, my mother and my 2 children ages 8 & 13. Noise was loud because of location with window open, however with the window sealed, it was much better. Remember it is a very active part of the city.

The owner was very welcoming and on hand for anything we needed. The room was spotless and once the shutters were closed it was very quiet. The breakfast was very basic but adequate. The owner does not speak much English but is extremely friendly and accommodating.

We enjoyed our stay at La Girondola. The owners were very pleasant and helpful. Although they don't speak English and we don't speak Italian, we were able to communicate well enough. It is not fancy but it is very neat and clean, the air conditioning worked well, the room was a decent size and the breakfast met our needs.

Excellent clean B&B, it's location being very near Termini and within easy walking distance to the sights of Rome. Once we were shown the proper way to close the window, there was no noise at all from the street and a very efficient a/c system kept the room at a good temp at night. The bed was firm but comfortable. Breakfast was the usual simple Italian breafast of yogurt, crisp breads, croissant and coffee/tea. The only downside was the miniscule shower recess. Even at 1.59m tall and 57 kg, I found it difficult to move once in the shower. This is probably not the right accommodation if one is on the big side, but hey, the price and location are fantastic so one really can't complain about a shower! Ristorante Giuseppe accross the road was very friendly and provided good meals at reasonable prices.

By American standards both the room and public areas are small. By European standards, quite adequate. I've stayed in much smaller rooms in London. Surroundings: near Termini where one can feel the Metro & trains. We never felt unsafe. A great B&B. We'd certainly book at La Girandola again.

La Girandola was in a great position very close to Rome's Termini station. It isn't the nicest area of Rome but it is very convenient when travelling around by train or foot and provides easy access to the city's main attractions. Our greeting was very warm and although the owner couldn't speak English he still managed to give us a fantastic 2 day tour taking in all the important sights in the most time efficient way. We were travelling with 2 young children and the room was perfect, not a huge amount of space but in the centre of Rome that's what I expected. Cleanliness was excellent with the room cleaned and tidied daily. I would recommend this B+B to anyone wanting a few nights in Rome who needs to use the Termini for connections.

We stayed in this B&B for 3 days. We arrived in early morning, a old gentleman, I think his name is William, he kindly offered us coffee and tried to help us to plan our trip and showed us where to go. The room is clean a little bit small though, but we were quite satisfied. The location is closed to train station which has its pros and cons. It’s convenient to take buses and train, but sometimes it can be noisy. But as long as you close the window, you barely can hear noises. We really enjoy their hospitality and would like to recommend their service.

Amongst all hotels we stayed in Sorrento, Florence & Rome I would rate La Girandola as the best - very clean, spacious and ideally located - once you close those double pane glass windows the room is very quiet inspite of being so close to termi!

Extremely pleasant stay! Guillermo (the owner) is great - very helpful and efficient. Location couldn't be better, around the corner from Termini (central train station), and within walking distance from many attractions. I wouldn't consider any other B&B if I was going to Rome again.

We had quite a bit of difficulty finding La Girandola. We knew we were on the right street and in the vicinity, but couldn't seem to find the building. We even asked 3 different nearby businesses and they had no idea where it was located. Once we did find it, however, we were very pleased. The room was immaculate. The breakfasts were the same each day. Not a hot breakfast, but adequate to get us going each morning. The shower stall is very small. Due to the nearness of the termini and a busy street, we heard a lot of traffic noise at night. However, because it is located near the termini, it was very convenient for us to walk to and from the termini to get our bus connections. We would definitely stay here again and would recommend this B and B to others. Ristorante Guiseppe is right across the street. I would recommend Guiseppe for a convenient place to eat with good food and reasonable prices.

We arrived on a sunday afternoon. The hotel manager knew my name through Venere and led us straight to the room. The hotel is situated in a quiet street not far from the beach. The beach is easily reached by a short walk on a road with little traffic. On the beach the hotel provides a privat area. In the evening the hotel owners play cards on the terrace and the hotel dog look after the guests. We will recomend this hotel to as many as possible.

Nice breakfast for Italy.
