Really enjoyed our stay everywhere is very expensive in Rome but this apartment (and it was a large apt rather than a b and b as we would think of one) was relatively cheap compared to other places and the general prices, we really like it. The huge bath and endless hot water were good, the ability to make our own meals with good cheap local produce when we spent up, and being so near lovely cafes etc in Trastevere were all great. Stefano who came and explained everything to us was very helpful and mr Enzo and his wife who cleaned up after us and live next door where very welcoming and helpful (as well as efficient). We would def recommend a stay here. We went in winter and didnt need the windows open, it is a busy road, but again, its a city break and Roma, what do you expect?!

We had a great stay at Kimama and found our room to be very clean and nice - was an enjoyable stay - we especially liked being able to make our own coffee in the mornings. Raffaella was very welcoming and she keeps the apts really spotless.

I was a little stressed returning to Rome and when I walked out of the airport it was pitch black and pouring with rain which did not help my mood. Upon arriving at Kimama my spirits lifted and my mood changed entirely, I felt at home. I had the small room - a queen bed with ensuite bathroom - which was perfect for one person but may be a little cramped for two if there is also a lot of luggage. The area is good; close to shops, restaurants and public transport - trams and buses run to other parts of Rome regularly from just down the road. I also had a quick look at the big apartment which looked lovely and has kitchen facilities. If I was returning with more people I would be inclined to book both the apartment and room. I would definitely recommend Kimama and stay again.

This is tricky. The accommodations themselves, with the exception of the noise, were good and the neighborhood is the best. However, we thought this was a B&B and it isn't! It's an apartment whose owner lives nowhere nearby. The apt has no phone, so bring your own. Breakfast consisted of dropping a boxed something off, but since there is a kitchen, we bought food and made our own coffee. Our teenage children and we loved the location, but wouldn't recommend unless you have white noise and earplugs.

Totalmente recomendable.

Raffaella and her employees were very sweet and accommodating . She was nice enough to let us have the "suite" of her bed/breakfast since it was empty and we were on our honeymoon. It was within walking distance to the vatican and all major known piazzas (Navona, Di Spagna, etc.) with a big kitchen where we cooked almost every night. And every morning we would leave and come back to find the apartment spotless. I highly reccomend Kimana and Raffaella as a point person. I plan to go back every two years and I will always call her first.

Kimama's room was really nice and clean with charming decoration. Trastevere is one of the greatest neighborhood in Rome (and I was born a Roman I know!) full of good restaurants and just so beautiful to walk around. My boyfriend and I went for a romantic week end and we had a great time. The owner is very welcoming, good communication. We had a great home made cake and choice of tea and excellent coffee for breakfast. Our room was on the courtyard and very quiet. Highly recommended!

Excellent location if you want to be in Trastevere but still have some quiteness. We had two rooms, one with a double bed and one studio. The 4 youngsters loved their corner bath tube in the studio!:-) Me and my husband stayed in the much smaller room, but we had everything we needed. Both rooms had a modern exquisite style that still fitted in the old building - bellissime camere! Everything was perfect for us!

Folks, we're speechless. Small room, even by Italian standards, windows opening into a courtyard. You have the pleasure of hearing neighbours' TVs and other noises that echo through the courtyard into your own room, along with doors slamming, bottles being dropped into a garbage/recycling area, etc, etc. Even at E 100/night it felt like the rip off of the century. We did think of moving to another B&B or hotel, however, without having access to the Internet, and two days from going home, we just grind and put up with it. The bathroom is small, but that was not the issue. The location of the shower makes it very difficult to not splash water outside the shower "enclosure". The shared wall between the bathroom and where the proprietor lives has glass privacy blocks which became quite annoying when the light was left on the whole night which illuminated our own room. The proprietor owns a dog, which you will smell upon entering her hallway. The few positives are the there is a small fridge which is replenish with yogurt and juices boxes, both which you can take away for a mid-morning snack, and the proximity to ancient Roma. If you are a looking for a clean bed, where you can crash every night this might the place for you. Be warned, the noises from the courtyard will likely keep you awake.

Excellent place to stay in Rome. Host most welcoming, with a fresh pie and great coffee in the room. Room noisy with window open, but once closed most peaceful. Hope to stay there again soon.

Although B&B Kimama was very clean and situated in a convenient location, the double room seemed much smaller than the pictures made it out to be, and it did not offer the amenities normally associated with the American understanding of a bed & breakfast. A few breakfast foods were left in the room, but we didn't get anything on the last day of our stay and ran out of coffee on the second day. A kind neighbor met us and showed us into the room because the owner/proprietor was out of town. If you are looking for a bargain and a small, clean room with bath, and don't need air conditioning or a working television and don't plan to stay in doors much, this is a great option, just don't go thinking that it is a "bed and breakfast". It is a bedroom with a queen bed in a large apartment building.

We really enjoyed our stay in Rome. The location of the Kimama was perfect to reach all the sights and attractions by foot. We absolutely loved our strolls through the city. In the surrounding of the Kimama were a lot of nice trattorias and pizzerias where we spent the evenings. The room itself was very spacious with a separate kitchen and a large bathroom. Raffaela was really kind, she would help you with any questions you have.

The only negatives above are due to the confusion about where we were staying. We arrived at the designated address, but were then taken to another address (the sister of the owner of the business). However, that place was wonderful, and we loved it. The location was "ottimo" and very easy to get everywhere. Although our room was right on the corner in fairly busy area (morning market and lots of nightlife nearby), it was peaceful and didn't keep us up.

This b&b has it all! Great location, good price, private bathroom, frigde, wonderful coffeemachine and a comfortable bed. The only problem is that it is almost impossible to sleep there.... Because of noice from the streets it's necessary to close window at night. And with no a/c the room gets incredible hot. The landlady told us about plans to put in a/c. If so, this is the place to stay at in Rome!

Great location if you don't mind a bit of a walk, but the area is so nice to walk in. Short distance to restaurants in area. Does not have the same amenities as a hotel, but Rafaella was very informative and helpful, sort of like having a friend in Rome. The only drawback--our room was facing the street, and there was the constant humming of scooters passing at night so we ended up closing the windows, but we had a/c so it was okay. Other than that the area is quiet.

A lovely B&B, set-up made you very independent. Breakfast was provided by means of food already in fridge in room on arrival. This meant we were free to rise and set off for sightseeing at our convenience rather than being tied to set eating hours. Room was slightly small but pleasant and clean. Rafaella (owner) was an absolute star especially when it came to a lost bag! She was only too willing to go out of her way to help us. Thank you!

The B&B was for us an excellent place to stay at during Easter. The room was great, and the owner very helpful, she even arranged a car service from the airport at our arrival. The actual price was a bit different than my confirmation from Venere.com said. The area of Trastevere is very nice (except for the contruction work on a nearby piazza) with lots of small shops and traditional restaurants.
