Bed and Breakfast I Giramondo - Rome

First time Rome, first time B&B I Giramondo - the worst accomodation ever...

It was the first but not the last time we stayed at I Giramondo. The only thing we missed was a knife to cut bread with.

Nice place for a short trip to Rome. Very close to bus and metro stations. Unfortunately quite poor breakfast.

Great place to stay in Rome. Quiet area, close to metro, super market and central Rome. Mario is great and welcoming person, always glad to help. Rooms were clean, as well as public areas.

I stayed here as one of a group of 5 adults in October. The apartment is well maintained and clean. The owner is very friendly (but does not speak ANY English). For us, the main problem with the accommodation is that it is located on the corner of Via Gregorio, one of the busiest roads in Rome. The noise at night is simply incredible with scooters and cars constantly passing by and does not abate until 2-3am.

The owner is very friendly and welcoming. The only bad point is we stayed in the twin room which we found very noisy as the flat is close to an avenue and the room does not have double glass windows. The location si perfect to take the bus closeby and visit Rome.

Mario was very welcoming and a great help. The room was very clean and comfortable. We will certainly be returning if we visit Rome again. The breakfast is very basic though.

On the good side: very clean, complete kitchen (to share with some rooms)very nice living room, very good a/c for a VERY HOT summer in Rome, etc. very close bus trip to Vatican city and it is located on the other side of the city center to avoid trafic on the way to the airport. On the down side: VERY noise street outside it was a very bad night hard to sleep. and it is far from the most turistic atractions so you will spend a lot of time on public transportation. i only used this hotel one night on the way back from other cities before going to the airport, but i do not recomend it for long stay.

The best B&B ever, the apartment was very nice, clean and tidy, its located just a couple of minutes by walk from the metro station! Once arrived on the place we received a very warm welcome from the owner, Mr Mario. Everything was perfect! I will come back to Rome a couple of times this year, and surely I will come to this B&B again.

We had a great stay at B&B Giramondo. The manager, Mario, was amazing in making us feel at home and providing colourful and helpful advice about Rome. I felt like I was staying with family, and it made staying in this wonderful foreign city even more enjoyable. The room was clean as were the bathrooms and kitchen facilities. There was a great surround balcony with a view of the area, and good security in the building as well as helpful staff. All in all, we had a great time, and would love to come back to this B&B!

We spent in I Giramondo 2 nights. We consider the price vs. quality adequate. The welcoming and atmosphere were very nice. We felt like in the flat. The speeking Italian is an advantage, hovewer they are able to find translators.

Sehr schöne Unterkunft in gehobenerem Viertel ca. zwanzing Gehminuten hinter dem Vatikan. U-Bahnhaltestelle Cornelia ca. 10 Minuten. Küche, großes, schön eingerichtetes Wohnzimmer und großer Balkon sind zur freien Verfügung. Zimmer und Bad sehr sauber. Durch die Lage an einer stärker befahrenen Straße relativ laut nachts bis ca 1 Uhr. Vermieter sind sehr nett und hilfsbereit. KLärung aller Details im Vorfeld problemlos. Verständigung vor Ort mit Händen und Füßen, da nur geringe Englischkenntnisse - aber die Freundlichkeit und Herzlichkeit wiegt alles auf. Fazit: wir hatten eine sehr schöne Zeit in Rom mit einer Unterkunft und Rückzugsmöglichkeit, in der wir uns sehr wohl gefühlt haben.

The place was great: clean, spacious and comfortable apartment. The owner is very nice and helpful. He hardly speaks any English but is very communicative. The apartment is a bit far from the city center, although the Vatican is about 3 bus stops away. Note the owner does not live in the apartment and therefore: 1. You have to call in advance so that he would show up with the keys. 2. The breakfast is self service (products are supplied by the owner). Overall, a great place. We would definitely come back.

Mario and Louisa were very friendly and helpfull in addressing our needs. Breakfast was very good. Room was very comfortable.
