Bed and Breakfast Emozioni Romane - Rome

The beds were very hard. The kitchen/eating area was very small and hard to negotiate with a few people in it at the same time. There was mold in the shower but other than that the location was neat and clean. There is no full time staff on site. If there was nightlife in this area, we did not notice it on our way back from the metro. And with so many gated doors to go through and bars on the windows - one feels like they are in an unsafe area. The breakfast options were very limited - dry cereal, biscuits/cookies, 2 yogurt, and a pastry. No fruit, cheese or meats. On the plus side, the person that greeted us, Roddrick, went out of his way to answer questions and to show us how to get to the train station and metro stop. Perhaps for group of young folks with a very limited budget, this might be an option since the two rooms we saw slept three each.

Unfortunately the staff of B&Bs in Rome seems often to be unreliable in comparison with in other cities. Also here. Without this impression we were been satisfied with the very poor breakfast.

The Bed & Breakfast Emozioni Romane was very clean and secure. We particularly liked the area as it was not touristy and gave a real flavour of Rome. There is a nightclub in the block that can be heard late at night. The Roman breakfast is apparently a sweet breakfast. Too sweet for our taste - biscuits, cake, nutella... BUT the coffee was great. Very close to the Metro and overland train station.

The Emozioni Romane is a top class B&B and so are Liliana and Alessandro the owners. A lot of thought has gone into the redesign of this place and and it looks spectacular for it. A hiden gem is how we would describe it, the surroundings just look like a typical inner city apartment block, we found everyone in the vacinity friendly and helpful. The Emozioni is not very close to the main attractions of Rome but is as the web site says just minutes from the Metro and this is very easy to get around on trust me, we had our one year old son in a buggy with us and had no problems at all (Just remember to keep change for the Metro). To be honest it made it quite an adventure and was nice to stay in an area of rome we wouldn't normally stay.
