I went to Rome with my 64 year old mum. I chose this hotel wondering if it was good and it surprised us enormously! More than expected! the warmest welcome! Fabrizia is an angel, she is a real human being and makes you feel you are at home, the location is excelent from our window we could see the vatican, we walked two blocks and we were there, we walked one block and we were at san pietro station where the train and main buses are.The supermarket is two blocks from the hotel. At night it couldn`t be more silent! we had the best dreams. Fabrizia cleans the rooms and the bathroom is so clean that shines. I strongly recommend this place, don`t wonder choose it and you`ll recieve more.

This is a great little place a very short walk to the Vatican and St. Peters. Nothing fancy, really! There is a small bar across the street for evenings. The air conditioner did not work, and one night the power went out so nothing worked. Breakfast is average - you can make your own coffee and get packaged pastries set out each day. very good neighborhood if you can live without AC. Very short walk to the San Pietro train station. Good restaurants in the neighborhood.

The stay was rally pleasant. We were 2 hr late to arrive, was really glad Fabrizia was still waiting for us. She was helpful and explained everything. The bnb is in a quiet residential area close to Vatican. 5 min walk to train station. From there, train to airport Flimincio within 45 min. Walking to Vatican takes 15-20 min on foot. Takes 64 bus to center 20min. Location is great, close to everything and much quieter than center as in residential area. Breakfast is simple and nice( bit repeative everyday). There are free bottled waters in the fridge, which is excellent. As in hot Rome, you do consume lots of water everyday, tourist places will charge u €2 each. We really enjoy our stay, if u look for convenient bnb at a reasonable price, this is a good choice!

Excellent value for money. Nice stay close to St. Pietro. All as described on the web page. Very quiet area. Fully recommended if you look for a clean and a quiet place to sleep in Rome. ... Recomendado, ubicado cerca del Vaticano en un barrio muy tranquilo. Cerca de la estación de San Pedro. Ofrece una habitación amplia y limpia, con baño incorporado. Justo lo que buscábamos. Grazie Fabrizia!

Very good choice if you want to be close to St. Peter's. From our window we could see the basilic. Very nice, helpful and competend owners. Rooms a little bit noisy during the day when you are mostly not in the room, anyway. Closing the windows solves the problem. Very low traffic in the night so no problem with the noise.

Very nice little place, very typical European B & B; no frills, good value. Very clean rooms, comfortable bed, extra clean washroom facilities in each room, the lady cleans vigioursly each day. Close to St Peter's, < 5 mins.

Strengths: Fabrizia is very friendly and accommodating. She allowed us to store our luggage in another room up to 6 pm, without additional charges. Safe place. Property is close to the Vatican (about 300 meters away); restaurants, souvenir shops and Carrefour supermarket. Property is far from the crowd but close enough to Vatican. Weaknesses: Main street is about 2 blocks away. Bus 64 stop is about a block away. Other buses are about 200 meters away. May be a challenge for older people who have difficulty walking. Not too close to shopping areas (Trevi Fountain, etc.) Very small property, although homey place.

We stayed in a triple room. The place is near public transport, bus nr 64, but we also walked to Trastevere and to the historic center. The breakfast was typical italian, with cornetto and cakes in plastic, but there was a bakery at the other side of the street, where we got fresh things every day.We could also use the espresso machine. We liked the place very much, and felt as we lived in Roma for a while........

Well located in Rome for walking to major sites and bus routes. No full-time staff on-site. Breakfast for each room occupied was put on a plate and enclosed in a plastic wrap. Not much variety. Lots of places near by for lunch and dinner.

We loved this B and B for the location, price, accomodations, and friendliness of the owners! The B and B is a recently remodeled apartment so all furnishings are new. You can see the Vatican Cupola out the window of two of the three units. These three units are 10 minutes from the Vatican, 2 or 3 minutes from the metro and bus stop (bus 64). The location is safe and close to restuarants and local shopping. The owner speaks very good English and were most accomodating. Breakfast was very complete and consisted of juice, milk, coffee, tea, yogurt and pastries with jam! They had a microwave on the premises and a coffee machine that worked very well. After arriving at the Rome airport (FCO) we took the local train to Trevastere switched to another train and literally went to the St. Peter's Statione got off and walked with luggage right around the corner to the B and B where the owner was waiting for us. Total time from airport to B and B was about one hour or less and only cost 4 Euros per person. Upon arrival we were given three keys, one for the courtyard gate, one for the building and one for the unit, so we felt very secure and could come and go as we wished. The triple and the double were very large and have large bathrooms and were very functional. For the great price we felt like we were very well treated and avoided the hassle and expense of a hotel room. We would stay here again if we go to Rome due to the location, price and quality of the rooms. At nite there was a little street noise due to the warm weather so we just closed the window and couldn't hear a thing. There is a playground across the street which is full of kids during the weekdays, but we were not bothered by this in the least and welcomed the voices of youngsters at play. The owner gave us good directions to attractions and specially restuarants (beware of the Sardinian restuarant nearby, although it was excellent, they will bring you everything on the menu unless you order!)

The reception and facilties were excellent. Look forward to returning. Accomodations were as quoted. The proximity to the Vatican and the availability of Church across the street made attending Mass very accessible. Easy access to restaurants. The only negative is that is about a mile from the Metro.

The best B&B ever! We booked a double room, but there were no doubles available any more, so: we got a trippöe for the same price ;). The stuff is very nice and the location is great. We had a view on the Peter`s from our window! We definitely will book again, when we come back to Roma!

Domus Manlii was in a beautiful building and in a great location--only a 10 minute walk to St. Peter's. The room was spacious and comfortable. The owners do not speak very much English, so if you are coming to Rome for the first time and want recommendations, this is not the B&B for you. Also, Italian law prohibits B&B owners from cooking, so breakfast is simple: crossiant, cookies, juice and yogurt. Overall though, I had a wonderful stay and would definitely return. Excellent choice for independent travelers.

Although I only booked for single, my room had a double bed which was a welcome surprise for a B&B in Italy. The accommodation was excellent in terms of location, proximity to public transport, and lack of noise during the night. I particularly liked the all-day access to bottled water and other beverages from the B&B's breakfast area. Fabrizia, Massimo and their son were very helpful and hospitable. As I was the only guest during my stay, Fabrizia very kindly showed me the other 2 rooms - which were much larger and very impressive. I would definitely stay at this B&B again. It's literally a stone's throw from St Peter's and within easy walking distance to Rome's main attractions. I dined at Trastevere on 2 nights, which was a leisurely 15min stroll from the B&B. This B&B is definitely value for money.
