We stayed at this B&B in April in our 3 day trip in Rome. We were welcomed by Cristiano who was a great host, very helpful and informative. Breakfast was good and WiFi signal was strong. The B&B was located in walking distance from all the main attractions. The neighbourhood was also very nice. Thank you Cristiano for a lovely stay!

Good location for everything, buses, restaurants and The Vatican.Cristiano the owner most helpful in giving us directions to places, and made us a good breakfast. It would have been nice to have tea making faclities in the room,as in uk B&Bs.Hooks and heating in the bathroom would have helped. Would stay here again if in Rome.

A very good place to stay for exploring Rome. Near to all the main places of interest and the Metro. Really one could walk everywhere from Piazza Cavour. Plenty of restaurants nearby. The B and B is a great base. Very comfortable. Breakfasts are good and continental style. The owner is delightful, charming and very helpful. I'd want to stay there again.

For the value conscious traveler, this could not have been more perfect. The room was spacious and comfortable for a family of four. Continental breakfast was the perfect way to start out the day. The kids loved the elevator in the building. We love the sense of home of this B&B. The host, Cristiano, is very welcoming and speaks perfect English. There is even free wifi! We walked everywhere from here. We are recommending Domus Cavour to our family and friends.

The hotel is very elegant, with very spacious and quiet rooms. Chris, the proprietor, is very helpful and considerate and the breakfast was excellent, especially the coffee. We would definitely want to stay there again. As for local landmarks, there are many, but an evening stroll west along the Via dei Gracchi is very good, a lovely neighburhood, with some great shops and a good food market too.

Christien could not have been more accomodating! From explaining how to order taxis, directing to various sights, referring wonderful neighborhood restaurants, to ensuring our early transport to the train station even on his day off, he acted the superb host!!! B/c he is an architect, all aspects of the property are very well appointed. Would HIGHLY recommend!

Convenient to walk to the Vatican and old part of town (Corso de Fiori, Piazza Navona and all tourist attractions within). Cristiano was very helpful with finding bus routes to the tennis (at Foro Italico); there were 2 bus routes just outside the door which was a bonus. Excellent having access to internet. Thanks, I would book again.

Domus Cavour was ideally located, very close to the Vatican district. The rooms were quite large by Rome standards, extremely clean and recently renovated. Our host Cristiano was a delight, very helpful and spoke good english. We stayed with Cristiano at the start of our holiday, and he also helped us the travel arrangements for another day in Rome at the end, instead of sitting at the airport for 10 hours. Would not hesitate on recommending Domus Cavour.

Very pleased with Domus Cavour. We had a great room, plenty of space and very clean, with a very comfortable big bed. Chris could not have been more helpful. He arranged taxis for us, goodies for an extra early breakfast and recommended nice places to eat and the best gelateria in town. Almost all of the major sites are within easy walking distance. Will definitely recommend this place to everybody and will certainly stay here again on our next trip to Rome. Thank you

We just returned yesterday from Rome and our two day stay at Domus Cavour. It was the perfect location for what we wanted to do in Rome. We visited the Vatican and Castle San Angelo as well as walked all over the historic area of Rome. Excellent location for this! We also appreciated the service provided by Christiano and the beautiful accommodation at Domus Cavour. The rooms are really nice, clean and very modern. Christiano helped us select a great restaurant in the area as well and answered all of our questions. Would definitely stay here again. Thanks, Christiano!

We have spent 2 weeks in Rome 02/2011. Christiano was very warm and wanting to do his best to make our vacation better. B&b has a very good location on quiet street in a good clean region between Vatican and piazza Navona, 400 m from metro if you want go further. It's part of first floor of residential building with polite and welcoming inhabitants, you have your own keys. Internet works. Breakfast was basic continetal, however Cristiano proposed more but we refused.

We were exceptionally satisfied with our overall stay at Domus Cavour. Cristiano(host) exceeded our expectations as he was very welcoming, helpful and well-mannered. Special thanks!! The room was even better than shown in the pictures as they are newly renovated and very clean, much like a very stylish apartment that offers a very cozy and comfortable felling. The location is excellent as many attractions are close by and very near to Bus and Metro stations practically offering quick transportation anyplace. We would definitely revisit Domus Cavour in any future trip in Rome.

This is an excellent facility at an exceptional price, and in a wonderful location. Truly a find. Cristoforo provides a wonderfully welcoming and service oriented environment. The only thing less than superb was that there was a lot of noise from the floor above me in the middle of the night. minor stuff overall, however.

Cristiano was a delight to meet, extremely helpful as well as just enjoyable to chat with. The Domus is spacious, modern, and quiet, and its location is strategic if not especially scenic--it is within walking distance of virtually everything one comes to Rome for. Breakfast kept me going until dinner. In essence, staying at the Domus was like staying in my own apartment (only much cleaner and more stylish!)--a lovely oasis in Rome.

Me and my daughter stayed at the Domus Cavour for 7 nights and greatly enjoyed our stay. The owner and operator of the business - Mr. Christiano, is a very warm person which gives the whole place a very homely atmosphere. He is most helpful when it comes to supplying helpful and relevant advice regarding tourism information. Domus Cavour is situated in an excellent location, near most tourism landmarks: 10 mins. walk-time from the Vatican, 2 mins. from Piazza Cavour, 15 mins. from Piazza Verona, etc. Further more the location is considered to be a safe one and also has a doorman service. The room (double-sized bed) was spacious, very clean and well maintained. The breakfast meals were satisfying, even the cappuccino was prepared-to-order. Highly recommended!

We will stay at Domus Cavour Bed & Breakfast again should we ever return to Rome. Cristiano was a perfect host and most helpful with questions and great suggestions. He arranged a wonderful Vatican tour guide and that experience was a highlight of our whole trip. The shuttle he arranged to and from the airport was on time and handled 4 people and luggage with ease. The restaurant he recommended was one of the best on our 2 week stay in Italy. It was in the perfect location to visit Rome.

We had a wonderful stay and would stay at Domus Cavour again in a heartbeat. Cristiano (the owner) was very welcoming and excellent in helping us with questions. Cristiano will probably email you to confirm your stay. He ordered us a shuttle from the airport for 45 euros. Here are some random thoughts about the B&B: * The Rooms: All of the rooms have private bathrooms. We stayed in two different rooms, since we left to visit Florence and then returned to Rome. Both rooms were very spacious by European standards. They both had stand-up, enclosed showers. The doors/walls are not that sound-proof, so you can hear other guests in the halls. That did not bother us. The cleaning man is very nice, but we think he has mild OCD and likes to put things away. Make sure you check the drawers and closet if you can't find something. We felt very safe and never felt that anything would be stolen. * The Common Areas: There is a large front room with a dining table, a couch, and a computer. There is free WiFi, but it's touchy. Also, the computer has Skype loaded so you can call international for free. We enjoyed talking to other guests at breakfast and in the evenings. Cristiano makes the morning cakes himself - delicious. The B&B is in a residential building on the first floor. There is an elevator if you need it. * The Location: Perfectly located halfway between the Vatican and downtown Rome. We were within walking distance to everything. We only took the metro once to get out to the Colloseum, which is a little far to walk. There are lots of restaurants and shopping nearby. San Marco restaurant is execellent. There is a supermarket called COIN if you walk up to Via Rienzo and turn left. It's about 5 streets down on the right side.

We stayed at Domus Cavour in December 2008. The location was excellent, within walking distance of the Vatican and the shopping streets. The apartment was impeccably modernised. Our room was warm and comfortable and Cristiano was welcoming and extremely helpful, often going beyond the call of duty. He was able to converse with guests in good English and French and we met an educated Italian couple who recommended an excellent concert. We unreservedly recommend his B&B.

A unique B&B in an office block. Very quiet location but close to Vatican and most attractions. Christiano went way out of his way to not only make sure we were comfortable with our stay in Rome but also helped plan our ongoing destinations complete with road routes, restaurant recommendations and tourist information. Having stayed in a regular hotel in Rome previously, this is definitely the way to go in Rome!

We (a couple with an eleven years old doughter)really enjoyed our stay at B&B Domus Cavour. Our room was clean, spatious enough, designed with a lot of taste, as wel as the bathroom and the dining room. The provided service was excellent, including a tasty breakfast and the very good advices from the owner about all things we were interested in. The location is very good, in a very nice neighborhood, on a walking distance from everything worth seeing.

My parents and I stayed at Bed & Breakfast Domus Cavour for 2 nights. It was really good location and everyone was very welcoming. We arrived a bit late at night so we asked B&B to arrange a shuttle service from the airport and it was very convenient and at reasonable price. It was a bit loud outside at night on Saturday but other than that, it was very nice and comfortable neighborhood. Breakfast doesn't start until after 8:30am, so if you are planning to go to Vatican museum early in the morning, you would end up missing the breakfast. So, I would recommend you to keep that in mind when making reservations at museums etc. We really enjoyed the breakfast when we had time to eat it and the lady who arranged the breakfast was very nice.

My wife, my son and I enjoyed a very pleasant stay at Domus Cavour. We were greeted warmly which was refreshing after spending 3 hours in a car driving from Florence. The room and facilities were impeccable. Breakfast was a real treat, and the dinner recommendation was excellent - don't miss "La Griglieta." The B&B was centrally located, and the owner provided us with an excellent orientation to the city. We have already told our friends that when in Rome Domus Cavour is the place to stay.

We had a wonderful stay at Domus Cavour. Christiano was very gracious and gave us lots of advice. The location was fantastic, easy walking distance to almost everything and very easy to get to on the metro. The rooms was fairly big and extremely clean, but there is no clock and no hairdryer (but Cristiano let us borrow one). Breakfast was good, more than I expected for Rome. What a brilliant place to stay! Very central to just about all of Rome but particcularly the Vatican, Spanish Steps, Trevi Fountain and famous Piazza Navona. Cristanio and his brother couldn't have been more helpful, they were lovely. I stayed here with my mother (73) and two daughters (19 and 14) and we ALL loved it, definitely recommend it and quality and price was really good. So much to see, plenty of local cafes, gelatries and you MUST visit Gastronomia, great place. Also TourinRome (ask for Alex) to take you round the Vatican was more than worth the 44euros, he was excellent. We went on to Sorrento and Cristiano helped us plan our journey - so BIG thanks Cristiano - we will never forget our holiday with you!

Staying at the Domus Cavour in Rome could not have been bettered. An excellent location, close enough to the major tourist sites but quiet enough to get a really good nights sleep in a very comfortable bed. It reminded us of boutique hotels we have stayed in in England with its colours and minimal style. A lovely welcome from the owner Christiano who helped us along with a street map on our first day and overall was a charming host. Breakfast was typically Italian, served in a room shared with other guests and was completly adequate in preparation for the long days sightseeing ahead. A very reasonable price for a lovely hotel - we would definatley stay here again.

Cristiano is very accomodating and genial. Even if you got up a bit late he'd make you cappuccino and had the world's BEST Cornetti. For me it wasn't a problem but if you're an early riser you're out of luck for bkfst because it isnt' available until 8:45. Very convenient location, there's a bus in front and on the corner and you can walk in one direction to Piazza Navona in about 15 minutes, in another to Piazza del Popolo in 10 minutes and in another to the Vatican in 15 minutes. He prefers to be paid in cash rather than credit cards so be ready.

This bed&breakfast was exactly as indicated on the venere.com. Very good location as we were approximately 15 minutes walking distance from the Vatican, Piazza Navonna, Trevi Fountain, Spanish Steps and many other sites. The immediate surroundings are also good, with fine restaurants and "smart" shopping district. The rooms were clean and the overall feel of the place was cozy, tastefully done and simple. But by far the best was the friendly and kind attitude of Cristiano, the gentleman who runs the place, who in a relaxed but attentive manner made us feel very much at home in Rome and in the B&B. We definitely recommend the place and hope to return.

Nice place. Good breakfast as part of the "bed & breakfast". We stayed in the family room, with double/queen and two twin beds, which worked well. We stayed in the quad room, which was spacious and clean, with good sized, comfortable beds. The bathroom was modern, bright and clean. Cristiano was very helpful, and when he found we were going to drive to a villa in Viterbo, he very kindly bought us a map of the area and marked off places of interest. He also printed off information from the internet, which was much appreciated. We found the accommodation was in a very central location, with most atractions within easy walking distance. The area was well lit and felt very safe. The only negatives regarding the property was there was no mirror close to the electrical socket(for hair drying etc), no mini fridge and no bottled water provided (this would have been very welcome even if the price was increased, as we ended up buying several bottles each day from street vendors for 2 euros each!).All in all, quality accommodation with a helpful owner in a great location. Has definately converted me as previously had an aversion to B&Bs! Would definately stay again if we went back to Rome and have already recommended to a friend. Just make sure you wear flat shoes as the pavements are very uneven, and do not assume that you can cross the road when the green man shows. Wait for someone else to step out, and if they don't get hit, run for it!!

Really nice rooms for the price, considering Roman rates. A genuine desire by our host that we would enjoy 'real' Rome and avoid all the rip-offs. Recommended a great restaurant when we arrived hungry, which was nearby and the best meal we had in Rome. Pity about the breakfast though, very continental. Very laid back about check out time which helped after attending a wedding!

This bed & breakfast is very good and the owner Cristiano is fantastic. The bedroom has enough space and the bathroom is very good. Don't forget that this is a B&B and not hotel. So you will not find a recepcionist 24h. You can meet Cristiano there during the day only. The breakfast is very good. Unfortunately it starts at 8:45h, a little bit late for those who plan to start the day earlier. But if you are not choosing this B&B because it includes breakfast, it is not a big deal. We would come back here.

Domus Cavour exceeded our expectations! The rooms were immaculate and comfortable, the bathroom spotless and well appointed, and the hospitality of our host, Cristiano, was exceptional. We researched many locations and are very glad we chose Domus Cavour. The location is very convenient for walking, especially to the Vatican. The breakfast was lovely, prepared daily by Cristiano...along with some of the finest coffee in Europe! Our kids (ages 10 and 12) really enjoyed their stay because they each had their own bed and because Cristiano introduced them to Nutella! The B&B is about 200 m from the metro, an easy distance even with luggage. Many restaurants and coffee bars are within walking distance. St Angelo's Castle (Lungotevere), Piazza Navona, Piazza del Popolo and the Pantheon are short walks as well. The B&B is in a fairly quiet part of the city, across from the Hotel Cicerone. The rooms are quiet and comfortable, with adjustable heating and cooling. When we return to Rome, we will be bringing some friends to stay at Domus Cavour! A special thanks to our gracious host, Cristiano! Thank you for welcoming us to your city and giving us such great advice for restaurants and touring!!!

Unfortunately, my husband and I were ill while we were in Rome. The hosts at Domus Cavour could not have been more kind or done more for us, including driving us to medical facilities and bringing in special food for us.

I cannot say enough kind words about Cris. He assisted with delayed baggage, bus schedules, restaurants (Gusto was great), points of interest. When a member of our party was stranded at the airport due to a miscommunication between family members, he made calls to the airport. And, even left his cell phone for us to use while tracking down the missing party. Our room was clean, quiet, comfortable. I really liked the light blocking shutters. Nice bathroom and shower. We walked to all the sites. Also convenient to the Lepanto train station and bus just outside the door. I would definitely stay here again.

Our stay at Domus Cavour helped make this our best city break to date. The location was excellent for seeing the main sights of Rome but was also away from the tourist hustle and bustle. The room was large, cool and airy and had a simple, elegant, quality feel to it. In many ways the photographs on the web-site didn't do it justice. The bed was both large and very comfortable. The proprietor, Christiano, spoke excellent English, was very friendly and helpful and was an excellent source of information and recommendations. I would highly recommend this bed and breakfast.

Very pleasant and helpful owner; pretty and very clean rooms. The single room I had was not too spacious, but ideal for a short business stay. They offer a fine breakfast, though continental of course. The relationship between price and quality is excellent for the standards of Rome. The place is close to the Vatican Museums (15 min on foot) on the one side and the Spanish Steps (10-15 min) on the other. There is a good Underground connection to the main ancient Roman sights, but one can also walk there (about 30 min). The area is definitely very pleasant. I would - and probably will - definitely stay there again.

The Domus Cavour provides a standard B & B breakfast with cereal, toast, juice, coffe/tea, pastries etc. The manager is very helpful and friendly. Great location, easy to walk to the main sights. Very secure premises. The rooms are larger and newer than many you would get in Rome. Would definitely recommend staying here. At the time, the manager was organising a computer for guests to access the internet, but you can log onto the wireless network at the B & B.

Cristian was a great host. He left his laptop for us one day so that we could book the remainder of our trip along the Amalfi coast. Breakfast was wonderful (toast, preserves, pastries, yogurt, cereal, etc). The rooms were very modern, comfy beds, no noise. Very close to the Vatican, walking distance to all the other sights, if you like to walk. (we walked to the coluseum twice from the B&B) Easy walk to the metro to talk you to the main train station in Rome. Lots of great restaurants in the area. Definitely enjoyed our stay.

Great location - 13 minute walk to Vatican and St. Peters. Nice breakfast - served by owner, although would like to have earlier time in order to begin sightseeing. we thought it strange owner not on premises during night. It was more like an apartment in which other "strangers" lived in your other bedrooms. Seemed a bit sterile. Owner helpful with information on line about bus tours.

The hosts were welcoming and the breakfasts were wonderful. Only one thing detracted from what would have been a perfect stay: the outside doorbell to alert the host we were at the outside door when we arrived the first night evidently didn't work and we had to wait until someone else entered the building to get in; then we weren't sure which stairs/elevator to use without asking the people we entered with. If we'd arrived during the day when there was an attendant at the door, this wouldn't have been a problem. Suggestion: Location information could include the name of the hotel directly across the street for ease of finding since it's one unit in a multi-unit building and only a small outside nameplate by the doorbell identifies the property.

My family and I had a very pleasant stay at Domus Cavour. Especially the ower, Christiano, was very obliging. He offered everything we'd like for breakfast, he even asked if we want the croissants sicilian style or regular. The family room was clean, spacious and had a flat screen TV which especially our son enjoyed. We would recommend this B&B to all our friends.

My family and I really enjoyed our stay at Domus Cavour. We stayed at 4 different hotels/B&B's in Italy (Milan, Rome, Florence and Venice) and this was by far our favorite. We stayed in a quad room. The room and bathroom are really nice, modern, comfortable and clean. My two sons especially liked the fact that they each had a bed with its own bedding. They did not have to fight over blankets. Breakfast was included with the price of the room. I warned my husband and kids not to expect much for breakfast since when I was searching for lodging in Italy, most of the reviews I have read about other B&B's/hotels said that breakfast was always very limited. Therefore, we were pleasantly surprised that the breakfast that the owner, Cristiano, served us was very good and filling. I will definitely recommend this place to my relatives and friends. And if I ever have the opportunity to visit Rome again, I would stay here again.

On our 2 week trip throughout Italy, this was our favorite B&B. The owner was very hospitable, and breakfasts were great. The most impressive feature were the rooms - extremely nice, very spacious, and a good price. I cannot say enough good things about this B&B.

It's realy a wonderful B&B for travellers to stay. The staff is so kind, preparing the breakfast, showing the direction to sight and help us to book the tickets. Very conveient place 10 min's walk from Vantican, 15 min's from Spanish Steps and No.70 bus to the Colosseum is right in front of the hotel. The hotel is almost brand-new from its open half year ago. The room is very very clean and quiet, while the public area could make you feel stay at home. And I wanna thank Cris(very gentle boss, speak good English) for his kindly help and delicious Italian style breakfast which we never had before. Its location is quite easy to find, every cab driver may know. Highly recommended for travellers both family/group(its family room is really nice) and single, and the price is worthwhile for all its advantages.

This realtively new B and B is in an excellent location near the Vatican, but close enough to walk to the city centre. The owner, Cristiano, is most hospitable and tries his best to accommodate the needs of his guests. The rooms are clean, tastefully furnished and the beds are comfortable. The breakfast is served in the lounge area by Cristiano himself and there is plenty of variety in the items served and great coffee is made to order. I enjoyed my stay very much and will definitely stay there again when next in Rome.
