Bed and Breakfast Domus Borgognona - Rome

Though my comments are more than delayed, I can tell you that my experience at Domus Borgognona was one of the highlights of my trip. I was nervous about flying to Rome alone and navigating into the city from the airport. From my first correspondence with the proprietor, I felt at ease. He gave me all of the information I needed to get to the Inn and offered to meet me a block away so I wouldn't feel lost. My room was huge, beautiful and comfortable. Breakfast was perfect. All of the staff was friendly and more than happy to give assistance and direction. The only reason I rated anything less than a 10 is because there was no real public area to rate, and I didn't use the web site to get the rates. I will definitely go back to this place one day! Don't miss it.

We had a wonderful stay in Rome. Even our arrival and departure were midnight (sorry), we had very well attended by warm welcome. We would defenitely recommend others.

Excellent location- minutes from Spanish Steps yet very quiet. Beautiful shops & quality restaurants in near vicinty.Bruno is the perfect host & very informative & helpful making our stay very enjoyable.Will certainly return when in Rome.

Domus Borgognona was the best acommodation in which I stayed in 3 weeks of travel to Paris and Italy in May-June 2008. This was also the consensus of my wife and two young adult children (18 and 20). It is a place that feels the most like home and to which I and my family wanted to return the night before our flight home.(We stayed at Domus twice during our trip for a total of 4 nights in two rooms.) Domus is not a traditional hotel. It is located on the fourth floor in a converted apartment. I believe there are only 4 rooms. There is a magnetic card key system as in most hotels as well as keys to the front door and hall gate. There is an elevator. The rooms are larger than those in most hotels and have in-room bathrooms. Each room is nicely appointed with a different color scheme and quality furnishings and decoration. The beds are comfortable. Hot water is readily available in the shower. Domus has little common space and breakfast is served in one's room from an order that you place each evening. Wireless internet is available at no extra charge. Each room has satellite TV with an extensive selection of programming. LOCATION LOCATION Domus has an absolutely SUPERB location. We felt secure at all times of the day and night. It is 1/4 block from the Piazza Spagna and only a block across the Piazza to the Spagna metro station on the A line (about 3 stops in one direction to the Vatican and 3 in the other to the rail Termini). The Spanish Embassy is next door. Taxis are available until the early morning hours in the Piazza. An ATM is located to the left just outside the front door. Excellent shopping and good restaurants are only a few steps away. Bruno, the proprietor, is a wonderful resource for sightseeing, restaurant, and shopping advice as well as having the ability to assist in making travel arrangements including tranfers to the airport. I can't wait to go back. Domus is my home in Rome! I wouldn't think of staying anywhere else.
