About Bed and Breakfast Dina Roma

In a very enchanting and comfortable flat near Tiburtina Station, well connected to the town centre (15 minutes), we offer three big rooms, everyone with bathroom, TV and refrigerator, and a big and luxurious dining-room for breakfast and free time. Very good for children and families, the apartment is ideal for short or long stay.

The host, Carlo, was a very kind man - but if you don't speak any word of italian...find another B&B :-) The bed was fine, but the breakfast was not our type of breakfast...so we found a very nice bar in the area »Bridget & Jones«, where we could get cappucino, juice, icethe and different kinds of bread...not just the sweet cake italian likes :-) For the price...it was a fine place for our stay, and a cheep area! But please notice: the adress is NOT 100% correct! The no° is 1/A...not 1/C :-) Also notice - a »noisy« area...

The information we were given before getting the B&B was very good. It’s very easy to get there from the airport (getting before to Tiburtina Station). However, as we arrived there, the owner told us we should pay more money than the agreed in the reservation. Fortunately, we had printed the reservation so he finally accepted the reservation price (you should pay the whole stay in arriving). The bedroom and the breakfast were ok, enough for us. But we had one more surprise as we found the owner using our toilet. It was supposed to be reserved just for us. We even had to clean it that night. Summary: I wouldn’t recommend this place.

The place was difficult to find but the gentleman/owner was accomodating and nice. He spoke French so there was quite a language barrier. Be sure to check for curfews because we would have been locked out one night if it were not for other visitors opening the door for us after 2 hours. Rooms were average size by Europe standards with a double bed and a bunk bed (4 persons total). No a/c but a fridge. Breakfast was crossaint and jam with coffee/tea. Reasonable for price.

The hotel is quite luxurious, though is has only fans in each room. The staff is very nice, though he nearly cannot speak English... Overall, it is a good place to stay, 10 mins walk form Tibutina underground station.

Dommage que le petit déjeuner soit d'une qualité plus que médiocre. De plus, il y avait une fuite au niveau des toilettes, ce qui faisait que de l'urine coulait dans la salle de bain !!!

Mr carlo vulpiani has a 3 bedroom flat on the outskirts of rome. he is a veryfine and caring man, welkoming and gentile. the rooms are big and clean, but the bathrooms are not IN the room: although private if you book the double, the bathrooms are just across the hall, opposite the rooms. not too much around the area at night. Tiburtina station is at only 5 minutes walk, where bus and underground leave from. note that buses run until midnight, and tube only until 11 pm. a taxi from stazione termini to the B&B is about 10 euro. overall a good stay, but the breakfast is just coffe and biscotti..a laugh!!

Dina Roma is run by a little old man who speaks NO English. If you think you'll have problems using hand signals, don't go here! We couldn't find the hotel for the longest time when we first got into Rome. It's on the opposite side of town as any tourist attraction or anything fun to do...literally in the middle of a mostly residential (nothing is EVER open when you need it) neighborhood. There are no signs for the hotel (which would explain why the owner asks for the EXACT time of your arrival)...Dina Roma is actually an 3 bedroom (?) apartment that has been turned into a B&B. If you're lucky enough to find the right building (the numbers on the building skip around) you may be able to find the doorbell with a tiny label saying Dina Roma. There are two Chinese food resturants, a McDonald's within a 5 minute walk...and if you walk further you may find a pizza place. There is a yummy gelato place across the street from Dina Roma with a great staff! If you want real food you are out of luck (who wants to go to Italy and eat Chinese?). There is a market and a pharmacy around the corner and the main street is lined with knock-off bags and sunglasses (The cheapest knock-offs I saw in Italy were here!) Breakfast was a pre-packaged crossant and coffee...after our breakfast we went across the street to the gelato place and grabed yummy pastries! While each room has their own assigned bathroom, all the bathrooms are across the hall..not a big deal but good to know. My bed was lumpy. If you're going to Rome to see the Vatican, The Forum, etc. this hotel is on the opposite side of town and while close to a train station, it's not very convienent. Once you leave for touring the city you won't want to come back till you're ready for bed.

in the days we stayed in the location it was completely run by an old man who apparently did not register any dust and rests of bread on the breakfast table. Breakfast especially was very poor, with old bread and butter, if at all. The old man was not capable of keeping the facilities clean. He did not receive adequate help. One triple room is extremly small for three. Others are spacious. Bath rooms are private but not in the room, ours could not be locked. Transport to city centre is good with bus and metro
