Maria was extremely helpful to us with local directions and facilities, great breakfasts and the B and B is very clean. Good location close to the Vatican. Only downside for us was that the room was a bit cramped for 4 and bathroom/toilet separate.

The owner was very nice and helped as much as she could. We stayed in the room that was in the photo on the site and it was maybe even better than what we expected. The walk to St. Peters is maybe 5 minutes which makes it easy to visit and also to get a taxi if needed. The room also had a balconey with a great view of the St. Peters Dome. I was also pleasantly surprised that wifi was offered. I would stay again for sure.

We had the most enjoyable week in Rome. Maria was a great host. The kids were more than welcome. We had a four bed family room which was great. Breakfast great. The service perfect, rooms and shared bathroom spotlessly clean everyday. All our luggage got lost and came only 28 hours after arrival. Maria phoned the airport more than one time to make sure that everything was found and got to her place, we could spend our first day without worries in Rom. The view on St. Peter is great. The location is so central that you can reach alot of locations by foot or public transport effortless. Its the best place in Rome, we ever stayed in and would recommend to anyone traveling individualy as a family or couple any age.

Very warm welcome from the owner, Marie Rosa, who has provided us with a lot of valuable information so as to organize our 3-day stay in Roma. Good spot to leave the car and take a bus to discover one of the most beautiful cities in the world. Our room was a bit narrow for a family of 4, but very quiet and very well-located. We highly recommend it.

We had an amazing time staying at Da Maria Jose a San Pietro. The Italian ladies spoke no english but were absolutely lovely and attentive to our needs. They spoilt us with ice cream, watermelon and bottles of water when we arrived back in the evening after exploring Rome. The bedroom was exactly as described and as in photograph, it was immaculate and spacious. The air con worked well and was what we needed after a long hot day in Rome. The shared bathroom was always clean and we had no problems with waiting to use it etc. Breakfast was delicious and there was more food than we could eat. Directions given to the B&B were simple to follow and we were conveniently located next to the Vatican and near various bus stops that went directly into central Rome and the train station. We had a lovely time and would definately recommend and stay at the B&B again.

Maria was a FANTASTIC hostess giving superb and accurate advice on sightseeing. Knowing a bit of Italian helped but certainly not necessary as she will mark everything on a map for you. Her facilities are spotless and comfortable. We booked two rooms which ended up being in separate apartments. The one room in the separate apartment is in a smoking, pet friendly (cat) home. The other two rooms appeared to be non smoking, non pet rooms. The two bedroom apartment is fully dedicated to the guests as the one room upstairs is with a two person family. They were very quiet, hospitable and extremely courteous. Bathrooms were very nice with the one upstairs being very spacious (be sure to bring travel toiletries). Overall, we had a wonderful stay with our only disappointment being that we were not together in the same apartment. We would most definitely return being sure we requested our rooms together. We had a little trouble finding it on foot but once found realized how easy it is to reach and very well located for sight seeing around the Vatican area.

We're an American couple and we spent 9 days in Rome at Maria Jose's BnB. Overall, it's a fantastic stay! The location is right behind St. Peter's with an incredible view of the dome, great bus access to easily get to Centro Storico or ancient Rome. Subway access is easily walkable, though the trip through St. Peter's square will become tiring after you've waded through the crowd 3 or 4 times. Maria is wonderful and helpful and eager to make your stay as good as possible. Her English is almost non-existent but she has google translator at the ready on her laptop and is more than patient with trying to understand your needs. She booked some reservations at hotels and a shuttle to the airport for us! Big upside: balcony with seating. Great for Chianti in the evenings. Possible downside: next-to-no hot water in the mornings. That's probably true most places in Europe, though.

If your not used to the big city, there will be car-noise from the street. For exploring Rome it's perfect, vatican with st.Peter just short walk. Take your time to look for the use busses you want to use: perfect, no long waits en 1 euro a ride ! Maria is very friendliy, she even brought us to the metro on our last day because there was some rain.

This B&B is absolutley spotlessly clean. Check if you have an en suite toilet, ours was across the hall & was very well kept. The view of San Pietro Bascilla is exactly as it says - fantastic. There is a great bus route runs from practically right outside your door into centre of Rome and Vatican is literally 5 mins walk from B&B. Maria is very welcoming. She does not speak a lot of English but is very keen to help. She will advise you of good places to eat and areas to visit etc. Breakfast consists of toast, rolls, fruit, tea coffee and home made cake!(which was wonderful Maria!) Could have done with some breakfast cereal but there is so much wonderful food you can get when your out in Rome it didn't matter. My advice would be if staying in Rome i advise only 3-4 days. Any more is too long as you will find you have done all the sites.
