EXCELLENT!!! The service was beyond my greatest expectations. Before I arrived, emails were quickly responded to and the phone was always answered. Once I got there, any and everything that I requested was provided with a personal touch. I have been involved in customer service for years. If I am fortunate enough to return to Rome, I will definitely consider staying again. The rooms are a nice size and clean. Each has a private baths, television, and air conditioning. The room was remade spotlessly every day. The lobby, sitting, and dining area are beautifully decorated and comfortable. Breakfast is wonderful. The grounds really are as beautiful in person as on the website. You can feed the turtles. There is an exceptionally friendly dog as well. You may breakfast on the patio or chat after a day of touring. You will need to have ready transportation or be prepared to walk the quarter mile to the bus stop. Since my Italian was very rudimentary, there was a small language barrier that was easily remedied with babelfish and a basic Italian/English dictionary.

Beautiful room and surroundings. The location was quite far out of Rome and made travel to city center and back time consuming. Owners had two large dobermans while not menacing did hamper enjoying the outdoors.

While the website was very appealing, the actual visit was less so. The short walk from the bus stop was much longer. The directions were mildly confusing and we missed a turn (walking). It is not near any eating establishments with the exception of a restaurant at the tennis club. They spoke no English. No one at the B & B spoke any English. The building is attached to another home. Our room shared a wall with the other home and the music late at night drove us crazy. We complained to the host (no English) and they told us to knock on the wall. Ha! Finally, after several attempts, we were told we could move to another room. It was late, we had unpacked, and the other room looked out over a soccer court where adults were playing soccer (at 11 pm). Needless to say, there was much screaming and yelling on the court. We chose to stay in the first room. The music finally stopped. The air conditioner did not initially work. Finally, again with no English, only gesturing, it was determined that the remote control for the air conditioner needed a battery. Our breakfast was more of a continental than a full breakfast. We often stay at B & B's for the great breakfast offerings. Not here! All in all, I wouldn't return. The peaceful country setting wasn't peaceful, the breakfast was slim, and the difficulty getting there made it an unsettling stay.

We had a very nice 3 day stay at Country Rome. The only disadvantage of this B&B is its location. To get to Rome it takes at least 45 minutes: first walking, then bus and metro ride. Maybe I am wrong but I did not get this information at the website. The hosts are very friendly and the breakfast and coffee are great!

Vacationng in Italy: Country Rome is a wonderful stay in Rome's suburbs. A fairly short taxi drive from FCO, if your driver knows Rome (ours didn't, no sweat). Within walking distance to markets, bancomat, bus stop into Rome centro, neighborhood restaurants. Thoughtful, friendly staff, lovely small property, clean rooms, hot water, nice colazione (just checking your Italian!) Overall, a 10!

The rooms at this B&B were perfect. They were spotless and inviting. The owners were very warm and hospitable. The property itself was quite lovely. It has a beautiful, peaceful garden to relax in. As mentioned by other guests, the only dissadvantage was the distance to Rome itself. There was a little bit of a walk, and about a 30 minute bus ride. It really wasn't too bad though. Like everything else, there are trade-offs. I would highly recommend this B&B for the cleanliness, value, breakfasts, and hospitaltiy. (It was actually kind of fun traveling on the bus).

Our Stay at the Country Rome Bed and Breakfast couldn't have been improved. We arrived a bit early, but were still greeted warmly and even served juice and sandwiches. The rooms are beautifully decorated and comfortable. The grounds are beautiful. The staff is friendly and helpful. We had to leave earlier than breakfast the next morning to catch our plane. That evening as we sat outside playing cards, we were served a beautiful fruit pizza, sandwiches and juice. This more than made up for the missed breakfast and we only wish we could have been there for that. I'm sure it would have been lovely. We rode a bus to sight see in Rome. It isn't very far. They even provided us with a bus pass to get there. We knew beforehand that we would need to pay in cash, so that was no problem. We did have to park on the street, but it is a very quiet street and there was plenty space. We just wish we could have spent more time at this location.

This is the best BB we have encountered during our travels so far. Ylenia gave us a warm welcome and throughout our 6-day stay we felt she did her very best to make us feel comfortable, and she succeeded in that. The house and the garden are kept with an high degree of estetic sense, far above of what could be espected, the rooms are spacious, the beds, bathroom, wardrobes are above hotelstandards and much more cosy. And there is also central heating which we appreciated during our very cold stay. The breakfast coffee was of the wonderful italian flavour, the bread and cakes a bit to sweet according to our swedish customs but well prepared and served with the usual gentleness of this BB. We have given this place very high scores and it deserves that. If you are prepared to take the 35 minute bus travel to the center of Rome, we could strongly recommend this BB, it is really good.

Our room had bedlamps so low you couldn't avoid hitting your head when you got up at night. Also, we had a noisy family with kids that night. Nice hosts--very helpful and accommodating, although they did not speak any English. Breakfast was excellent.

We came back from a 13 day Mediterranean cruise and this place was absolutely perfect. We already did the hustle and bustle of downtown Rome for 4 days before the cruise so this place was a great low-key location. We arrived one day early by mistake and the owners were super nice. They gave us a room and then made us coffee and homemade sandwiches and desert. Everything there was perfect. I can't say enough about the owners. Llana and her mother were spectacular hosts. They even made us a breakfast meal to take with us to the airport the morning we left. Highly recommended. James and Cathy.

This B&B is lovely: beautiful house, comfortable rooms, quiet location, good breakfast (although a bit on the sweet side) and wonderful hosts. We stayed here one night before we returned home due to it's proximity to the airport, so cannot comment on the ease of travelling into the centre of Rome on public transport. The host speaks little English, but has a comprehensive information pack to help you. It was difficult to find this property (by car) although we did follow directions on google maps instead of those on the website.

We really enjoyed staying at Country Rome. Ylenia and Ionela did their very best to make our stay as comfortable as possible. Our room was nice and clean and breakfast was delicious. It is a bit outside the center, which is peaceful and quiet during the night. There is a busstop nearby which takes you directly into the city center. Highly recommended!

Everything about the Country Rome B&B was excellent! Ylenia was the most helpfull person in a hotel/B&B that I have ever met. the Gardens and Rooms were very clean and well looked after, and the breakfasts were a very good start for us as we had no car and had an approx. 40 minute journey into town each day on the 98 bus (although this may saound like a lot it all goes very smoothly). the only problems that I did have were (1.) the room doors were to noisy (there is nothing between the door frames and the door so each time one is closed it will wake you up) (2) The local pizza place was too expensive (25 euros for two pizzas ??) I would recommend this place to all !!!

We loved the owner, the sophisticated, yet inviting design and cleanliness of the rooms, the new, fresh feel of the home, bedrooms and bathrooms, the great beds, and the sound of birds singing in the yard after being in the city. We stayed there only one night, our last in Europe before heading to Rome's airport in our rented car. It was the perfect choice as the Country Rome is right between the city and the airport, so we avoided the terrifying Rome morning rush hour in getting to the airport. There is a fifteen-minute bus not too far from the home that takes you straight to a centrally located square in Rome, so all the sights can be seen on foot. It's also a wonderful place to save the "inside Rome" hotel prices. These rooms were more spacious, really lovely, peaceful, and extremely comfortable. All was new and sophisticated in design. Our hostess was extremely helpful. It's on a lovely residential street where all of the yards of the pretty homes are walled. The home was prettier than the photos conveyed.

The rum lay on the third floor without elevator this was information we would like to get before we decided a reservation. Breakfast was uneatable too sweet and too unhealthy, (Danish pastry with a lot of sugar, orange juice with a lot of sugar, White bread without the crust, and very soft coffee that does not taste more then water. We had to buy our breakfast in town. To the bus station to town takes 15 min by foot in a road made only for driver. (Very dangerous by nights) Dog barking was very disturbing at nights and also frightening. The rums whales were fool of spiders and mosquitoes, so we had to clean the whales with a damp towel to get reed of them. There were non possibilities to get coffee or sandwich in the facilities other than on breakfast. The women who owned the place was there some day after we arrived, she was very friendly and helpful. She helped us with finding the place we searched, she had a lot of suggestion about places to see in rum, she helped with the reservation of visit in places required that.

You can't ask for anything more from a B&B. Ylenia was a wonderful hostess. She immediately became family and Country Rome immediately became home. They have beautifully kept gardens, clean, beautiful interiors and wonderful breakfasts. But most impressive are the people; from the owners, to their all around guy,Lyndon, who caters to your every need unobstrusively, to their mild mannered gardener, who will teach you about the plants should you be interested. Even the walk to Via Cantelmo (which I initially dreaded since I'm not a walker) becomes a mini break in itself since it allows you to take in the beautiful countryside before hitting touristy Rome. Country Rome is proof that God is in the details.

Taking off the extreme, difficulty to arrive of car, therefore in the map disponibilizado in the site, does not explain nothing, does not facilitate nothing, the remain was good. The only complaint is the localization, that the rooms are not so pretty, and it is so well organized and spacious as they seem. But the people who work in the reception/feeding and the cleanness are excellent

A beautiful home, comfortable, beautiful location, welcoming and helpful host and staff. Only problem was finding it - the map was fine but the streets very small - one was just like a private driveway and there were no signs at all untill you arrive 1 foot from the gate was a miniature sign by the door bell. Otherwise - we enjoyed our stay and found it very comfortable

Ylenia and Enriche were so nice and kind. Country Rome has beautiful garden. On the last day, the flight was so early. We had to leave early in the morning, before 6am, they even prepared breakfast with coffee, juice and bread. Only weak point of the property was not close to the center of Rome. Country Rome will be a nice place for younger couple. When you do not have enough time at Rome and want to move quickly, this place might give a little inconvenience.

The property is located outside of the city center, but Ylenia arranged a shuttle for us each morning. This is the best place I stayed in 25 days in Europe. The setting is simply gorgeous and welcoming. It's a travel to town, but with 6 of us it rarely cost us more than 4 euro a piece, even when we split up, and they're happy to set you up with a shuttle or a cab. GREAT STAY!

Only two drawbacks were due to location - it was adjacent to an outdoor soccer and tennis court that was in use until at least 23:00 each night we were there. It was also a 15 minute walk from the nearest bus stop and, once there, at least 30 minutes longer to get into the center of Rome. Given the bus system in Rome, it would have been helpful if the B&B operator would have provided initial bus tickets to get to the city of Rome. This is because bus tickets cannot be conveniently purchased anywhere near the bus stop. It also would have been nice to know that the same ticket is used for both bus and train in Rome. But overall, our stay here was excellent and Ylenia was very professional, friendly, helpful, and supportive. We would definitely recommend this property to others.

This was a fantastic place for our short stay in Rome. Ylenia couldnt do enough to make our stay as comfortable as possible and nothing seemed to be too hard for her and the staff. If we needed information on travel etc all we had to do was ask and she would find out all we needed to know asap. When we had to leave and the taxi that arrived was too small, she even allowed the driver to use her private vehicle to get us to the airport. Now thats what you call great service. The property is a bit hard to find if driving and road maps are hard to get of the area as its just off the grid of the central Rome maps available at service stations. If you hire a car to get to the property try to get one with a GPS. When we return to Rome we know where we'll be staying.

I will preface by saying we were B & B owners and operators for many years and have stayed in many places in the states and all over the world. A "bed" should be omfortable (somewhat soft) and not hard like this one. The "breakfast" means more than just pastries or sweets purchased at a local bakery. Surely a person can put some effort into preparing something....fruit, eggs, or some type of main dish that substantiates the real bed and breakfast menu. The building and grounds were beautiful, the owner was cordial and friendly. ...it just lacked a couple very important ingredients.

Country Rome was a lovely place to be for spending our time in Rome! Everything was excellent!Ylenia was extremely friendly and hospitable. The breakfast was more than adequate and very delicious(strawberries, yogurt, cakes, cookies, the best cappucino I´ve ever tried...)!Although the B&B is a little bit far away from the center (about 20 minutes with bus)and hard to find it the first time we really recommend everybody to stay their, because we really enjoyed our stay there!!! Thanks
