Until today, the best location for a stay in Rome. We were in Colosseum 2 for 4 times.

We were a group of 4 women (2 adults and 2 teenagers). The room contained a queen sized bed and bunk beds. Fortunately the room was air conditioned as it was extremely hot in Rome in August (over 30 before 9 a.m.) The a/c was running constantly and was much appreciated. The room was close enough that each afternoon we had a heat and siesta break in the room before going out in the evening. The location is about 2 long blocks south of the Colosseum and would not be considered central. On the other hand the area was quiet and felt safe even after dark.

Excellent place to stay. very close to all wonderful Roman monuments: 5 minutes on foot! Special breakfast: fresh food. Mecca of shopping is not in Rome!!! It is in CASTEL ROMANO, a place Just 40 minutes far away from Rome..... we payed by credit card.

Overall, this was a good place to stay. A little out of the way of the shopping mecca but a little walk never hurt anyone. Rooms were clean. We stayed in a room in a building down the street from the main B&B. Didn't get breakfast with our room or rate. Bring cash. Be prepared to pay cash for your accommodations. They don't like you paying by credit card. I don't even know if they accept credit cards.

Great location. Close to Colisieum, Roman Forum, Circus Maximus, etc. Quiet, on a dead end street with very little traffic. Lot of nice little restaurants/pizzerias close by. Owner does not speak English, but his assistant does. Delivered on everything they promised. Would definitely stay there again.

It is a nice location. Nice personnel. However the room was too small, bathroom too but clean. If you have croissant and tea for breakfast you'll love it but if you prefer ham and eggs you will not be satisfied.

We have stayed in this bb and wanted to tell how much we have appreciated the fantastic service. Beza and the hosts are so welcoming, wonderfully helpful and have made every effort to help us out while in Rome. Beza has been friendly and polite and lovely with our little baby. They gave clear directions for using the bus and subway systems, they always willing to make arrangements (for taxis, Borghese reservations, transportation to the airport) . The location is also great; it's a 5 min. walk to Coliseum, to the ancient sites (Roman Forum) and to metro stop Colosseo but gave us a quieter atmosphere in a more Roman neighborhood, which we loved. The room is not very big but has all of the comforts you need: air conditioning, mini fridge (empty), safe, soundproof window, new beautiful bathroom with hairdryer and a fantastic shower. Breakfast that comes with your room rate was delicious : bread and croissant from the bakery, fresh milk, very generous Italian coffee, and healthy (including fresh fruit). Also allowed us internet use in their office. We most definitely return.

The Colosseum 2 B&B was superb - wonderful welcome, lovely room, spacious bathroom, and positioned just a few mins walk from the Colosseum. We needed a carpark and were lucky enough to get a free one right outside the front door. There is plenty of paid (1euro per hour) and free parking around the property. The B&B is in a quiet area and there are many restaurants/osteria's within walking distance. Many thanks to Daniela and her team who were nothing but friendly and helpful. We had a quad room with plenty of space for 4. We definitely recommend the Colosseum 2 B&B.

We had a great time at B&B Colosseum 2 and we would certainly stay there again. Perfect location: on a quiet, safe street, 2 minutes from the Colosseum and from the subway station. Beza and Daniela were friendly, extremely helpful, and made our stay very enjoyable. They booked a ride for us from the airport, which was nice after a long flight and cheaper than a cab or the train. Breakfast was great with fresh croissants, yogurt, juice, and coffee with warm milk.

This is an excellent bed & breakfast with an outstanding location. The owner and manager are both very accommodating and friendly, and are committed to making sure that guests have an enjoyable visit, both to the B&B and to Rome in general. If (and hopefully when) we visit Rome again, the Colosseum 2 will be at the top of our list for places to stay. Note that because this is a small B&B, it is not staffed at all hours. If you have arranged a specific arrival time, there will be someone there to meet you. If you change your arrival time (as we did) be sure to let them know.

Initially we thought the room was quite small as we travelled as a family (2 adults and 2 children) but it was more than adequate once we settled in. The location was superb just up the street from the Colosseum. The staff are extremely helpful - don't be afrait to talk to them about your day to day plans as they'll be more than prepared to find out the easiest way to get there via the metro or the buses. Would recommend this resort to anyone visiting Rome particularly families as it is so close to many attractions which saves their little legs.

There are 3 rooms at the B&B and each has it's own nice bathroom. It has all been remodeled and it is nice and clean. The shower is awesome. We booked a quad which had a King and bunk beds. All beds were comfortable and the linens were nice. My 6 foot tall brother insisted on the top bunk and slept just fine the 3 nights we were there. Our room had a personal fridge and safe and a desk where you can connect to the free wi fi. Breakfast was fantastic! The ladies will bring you fresh milk (!! - not shelf Parmalat that is typical in Italy) and they go to a bakery for fresh pastries in the morning. They also have yogurts, cereals, toasts, all of it was good. When you leave the B&B it is a 3 block walk to the intersection that directs traffic around the Colosseum. And just beyond that is the Metro stop. They do offer a ride to the airport, but you will have to pay. I saw other reviews that said it was free, this was not the case. It is less than you would pay for a cab, or an airport shuttle, so we used it, it was nice to have someone we trusted take us anyway. This location is fantastic for seeing the Ancient sights in Rome. If you have a quick trip planned, this place is ideal because you will not lose any time getting places. If you get to stay longer, stay here too because the staff is so welcoming and will go out of their way to make sure you have a nice trip.

Finding the Colosseum 2 was easy with our GPS. It is in a quietish road away from busy traffic. We were welcomed with open arms by the lovely Daniella. We arrived after a long drive and when we dragged ourselves out to find something to eat it was a delight to see the Colosseum with her night lights shining about 200m walk away. We were also able to park our hired car right outside the B&B. We were silly and slept with the windows open so it was quite noisy, we only learned later it would have been best to close the windows and put the aircon on. Breakfast was also very pleasant, all in all the experience was positive and we would recomment this B&B to anyone travelling to Rome. Happy Holidays and come and visit South Africa for your next one. You will be pleasantly suprised :)

You stay here for location and honest service. We were within walking distance of much of historic Rome. Our room was very small for a family of 4, but it was clean and we were hardly in it. It was also quiet; it was a major Italian holiday (Aug.15th) so I'm not sure how many other rooms were booked. We had free parking within 50 feet of the B&B. There was very little public space within the B&B - small breakfast area. However staff set up food for us the night before as we were leaving early the next morning. We were able to help ourselves in the morning. Our GPS brought us right there and it was an easy ride out to Fiumicino Airport the next morning with plenty of gas stations along the way to fill up our rental car.

Our stay in Rome was fantastic and made even better by staying at the Colosseum B&B. A personal and caring service for an outstanding price, the staff are brilliant, helpful and welcoming and we would never go to Rome and stay anywhere else! The location is great for access to all of the major sights and walking down the street every morning to see the real Colosseum as you turn the corner is a great way to start the day!!!

This hotel is just what I expected from the description and price/quaility for an Italian hotel. Beza was the woman who checked us in and she was very friendly and accomodating both on the phone and in person. She speaks english very well and made sure our refrigerator and kitchen was stocked with breakfast items the night before. We were a family of four traveling and if you have traveled through europe much you know it isn't easy to get a room for 4 without having to get two seperate rooms and pay for 2 rooms which adds up quickly. We were in an apartment with a full kitchen and had a double bed (two twins pushed together which is typical in europe) and two seperate twins. The hotels is just 3 blocks from the Colosseum and not much further from the Metro. If you have a car you can now park it on the same block as the hotel. They just changed the laws and we didnt know it so parked our car at the Termini train station and paid 24 euros per day and fight off the beggers. All in all the hotel stay which was was great and Rome is a city which must be experienced.

We had a very enjoyable stay at Colosseum 2. Because our party was large (4 people) we did not stay in the hotel itself but in the apartment directly across the street that the hotel owns. There was some problem with the pipes the first day we arrived, so the staff arranged for us to stay in a nicer, 3-star hotel up the street for the first night, and Colosseum 2 paid the difference in the rate over what we owed them. The Croatian girl who ran the desk, etc., was very sweet and friendly and spoke excellent English. She helped us carry our bags back and forth, and when we arrived the first day before check-in time, she opened up a room for us to change and clean up in, and then she had to clean it again after we were done. Very kind and understanding. They offer a free airport pick-up in a van, you just have to reserve it in advance and make sure you get a confirmation. Wonderful stay.

We traveled to Rome for the marathon and the location was perfect! Five blocks to the start! Also walking by the Colosseum every morning was incredible. We stayed in the apartment the first two nights and that was great for size and the use of the kitchen. Very clean and the beds were firm. The staff at the B&B were excellant and very helpful!! We moved into the main B&B the last two nights. The only negative for our second room was a really soft bed that sunk in the middle. Overall, we thoroughly loved our stay!
