Located within 20 minutes walking distance from the Colosseum. The metro is 5 minutes away and the bar for breakfast 1 minute. Those who will choose the hotel will share 2 bathrooms with 4 rooms and their inhabitants .... The rooms are spacious and well maintained and the young hotel manager very helpful and competent. I would like to come back.

Only adding one more good comment to existing ones ! Coliseum rooms offers 4 very nice rooms in an ancient building, 3 of them quite spacious, with 2 small shared bathrooms. A shared kitchen is also available for guests. The district is at walking distance from Termini train station or famous places of Roma.. and Gianluca is extremely welcoming. (Only tiny little critic would be on the breakfast down at nearest café, and not particularly welcoming)

We liked the place very much. The owner (a young guy) is very friendly and speaks English very well. The rooms are very clean and quiet, spacious and nice - with beautiful pictures and lamps. there is also a kitchen, you can keep food at the fridge and eat in the kitchen if you want to. besides you can have breakfast in a nearby cafe (the breakfast is included in the price). The location is also very comfortable - a metro station (Manzoni) is only 2-3 minuits on foot and you can easily reach all the sightseeings. There is also a free hi-speed internet. We would recommend the Coliseum Rooms to our friends if they want to visit Rome some day.

This was my first time at this B&B and we stayed four nights. I am a clean freak so I was thrilled that my room was spotless and the comforter and pillows were like what I would have in my own home. The rooms were a bit chilly but the bathrooms were warm. The location was good and very close to metros and buses and the owner recommended some great sites to see as well as excellent restaurant recommendations. I highly recommend this B&B to others.

We arrived in Rome way earlier than the time we expected (6 A.M. instead of 3 P.M.) because of a national train strike. We just phoned Gianluca (the owner - about 21 years old) at 8 A.M. on saturday and at 9 o clock our room was ready! Meanwhile we had a quick walk around the Colosseo (10 minutes walking, really close). The whole place is very clean (Gianluca cleans deeply bathrooms and comunitary places every day) and our room (Spagna) was clean, good furnished with a confortable and big bed. The room was very quiet, thanks to the double glazing (good for cold weather too). Bathrooms were not too big, but incredibly clean, with a nice shower always with hot water (good for a longer shower after a tiring walking day around Roma!). There was free internet, wi-fi, printer, nice kitchen with all you need for cooking, guides to the city,.. The subway (Marconi stop)is just one block walking (2 minutes for real) and in 2 stops you get to Termini train station. Breakfast at the bar under the B&B with cappuccino e cornetto (croissant) is included in the fee! Gianluca was always kind and helpful suggesting places to visit or tipical restaurants not just for tourists, where we could eat tipical food without spending much money. He talks very good english and french! I felt like being at my own home but in Rome! Next time I' ll surely stay here again! - Alberto

We ended up delayed in our arrival, but Ginaluca gave us his mobile number and we called him once we arrived at the train station in Rome from the Airport. MOST accomodating despite it was after 11pm when we finally arrived. Our triple room was HUGE, the place was spotlessly clean and we so enjoyed his "family" welcome and hospitality!!! Everything we needed or wanted about Rome was provide to us to include his mobile number to call if we had any questions, problems or needed anything during our stay/visit. AWESOME STAY with totally convenient, local style hospitality!!! Our visit to Rome was wonderful and the central locatio only minutes from the Colisium was fantastic!!! Would not stay ANYWHERE else in Rome...felt like I was at home the entire time! Thanks so much for the friendship, the use of all your tour books, the info on how to maximize our stay there, and the fantastic chance to experience feeling "local" during our stay in Rome!

We had a wonderful stay in Colliseum Rooms in October 2011. Our room was simple but cosy and clean. Hotel has great location - 10 minutes walk to Coloseum and about 100 metres to Umderground. Gianluca was very helpfull and willing. Breakfast was quite simple (capucino and croisant), but as I found out it is standard in Roma. There was not anything important to complain about.

Once inside the B&B it turned out much nicer than the first impression one gets from the entrance and stairwell. The spacious rooms, large towels and clean bathrooms add to the value.

This was my 3rd stay in Rome. I thought everything about Coliseum Rooms was great. Gianluca (host) was extremely helpful and speaks great english. The room was spacious and very well furnished (very modern) The shared bathrooms were no problem, very clean and tidy (just like being at home). Breakfast is at the bar beside, you get a coffee and a cornetto (normal Italian breakie) About 50m from the Manzoni Metro stop (line A), easy to get around. We had a wonderful but unfortunately short stay. Highly recommend staying here.

A clean spaceous room quite close to the Colliseum, busroute, and metro. (The metro was under construction while we were there, but that ends Aug 31, 2011 I think). Everything as described, 4 room b&b, with two shared three-piece washrooms, so you get acquainted with other other people renting rooms as they scurry to and from the shower wrapped in towels. Internet was promised, but all we got was 10 minutes on the computer there using a very slow USB stick connection, no wireless. When I went to use the computer again, the USB stick wasn't there. So don't count on internet. However, there is an internet cafe just across the road, along with a laundromat, and some cafes. We had a 'quiet' room on the court - good place to listen to italian tv from the neighbours till about midnight but at least no traffic noise. B&B is in a poorer area of town with some homeless people mulling about. Good clean room for people on a budget.

We are staying in the hotel for 5 days. No complaints, we liked everything. Service is good, cleaned every day, rooms are very spacious, the ceiling height of 4 meters, although there is no air conditioning, but because of the large space was not stuffy, but in Rome it was over 30 degrees heat. The rooms quiet, because Chetri all rooms and some neighbors. It is true there is no kitchen (breakfast is coffee and croissants in a cafe at the bottom, but the most delicious in Rome, and for me as a tourist is not important and breakfast experience.)And two bathrooms - general for 4 guest rooms, but they are cleaner than many hotels, as clean up after their use. Location is perfect 3 minutes to the subway, walk to the Colosseum in 15 minutes. Ideal for self travellers, especially without large bags

It was a good B&B overall. The staff/landlord? was very helpful. The room is very spacious and in good condition. Talking about the "down side", The breakfast is pretty simple (a piece of bread and a cup of coffee, BTW, you can't change to chocolate unless you pay extra.) but the shop staff was polite and good. Also, the internet was down for two to three days in my three to four days trip and it was inconvenient. Luckily, there was a paid internet cafe opposite. There was no A/C, but the room has natural wind and bliss and it was not bad.

My stay at the Coliseum Rooms was fantastic - you will not find a Bed and Breakfast this clean, comfortable, nicely decorated, in as accessible location, with breakfast included at this price in Rome. The staff was incredibly friendly and kind, and very helpful with directions and suggestions about places throughout Rome. The location is perfect as well, since the b&b is situated less than a block away from the metro, only 2 stops from the Termini train station and only a few stops from amazing monuments - Trevi Fountain, Piazza Barberini, Spanish Steps, Pantheon. Coliseum Rooms is also walking distance from the ancient Roman Forum and Colisseum. The rooms are as clean and as beautiful as seen on this website, maybe even more so! I have stayed at many B&Bs throughout Italy and I highly highly recommend Coliseum Rooms.

I was quite pleased with the rooms and shared bathrooms here, which were quite nice and always very clean. Since it is very small it was difficult to get into the room a few times when our party split up--it would be nice to have had multiple keys, since the owner/manager is rarely available in the evening to let you in to the building. The location is very close to a metro stop, which makes getting around Rome fairly convenient.

I had a great stay here. The guys were very welcoming and extremely helpful. They gave me details on all the local tourist places (plus a few extra less touristy places), local (& extremely yummy) restaurants and directions for everything i needed. The place was clean and well presented. The room was a decent size with a nice big bed :) Although there is shared bathroom there is actually two so i never had to wait and they were always kept very clean. There was a little noise from traffic if the window was open but i found that this was not unusual for hotels in italy. Breakfast was a croissant and coffee fresh at the bakery/cafe downstairs and the metro/underground train was extremely close which made access very easy. Thanks for a great stay guys and making my time in Rome unforgettable :)
