Awesome B&B and really awesome hosts!! We had a wonderful stay and would definitely recommend. The only "8" we gave instead of "10" was the street noise which of course had nothing to do with the hosts. When we added a little white noise from our IPad it took care of the problem. A little noise is a very fair trade off for the great location and the really wonderful hosts. I really can't say enough great things about the stay. The location is very centrally located so we were able to walk to everything. Thank you Daniela and Mario!

The location is superb, the lady who worked at the B&B was lovely. However, we were six men in Rome to watch the rugby and I specifically asked via email for three single beds in each of the two rooms I had booked. I received a response saying that it would be no problem.. When we arrived we were shown two rooms, one with a double bed and the other with a double bed and double sofa bed. The kind lady did seperate the doubles but two of us had to share the double sofa bed. Not much fun!!!!!! I really believe that if a customer makes a resonable request it should be granted. An offer of a small refund would have been good

This guest house is located in an excellent way since being directly at Pantheon, one of the Roman hot spots. You'll find plenty of restaurants, cafés, stores in this area. The City House is quiet, admittedly the room has had in fact no daylight, which I find very challenging. The (relatively modest) breakfast is served in the room. Personnel is quiet, but friendly.

The Breakfast isn't much to tall about but on the other hand we didn't expect it to be. Anyway - this could use a updating/make over. There isn't a room with a buffet where you can have more that one little cup of coffee and so on. The quality of the bread, yogurt and a wrapped prefac cake was very unhealthy and oldfashioned.

At first sight, was looking great, Daniela was very responsive by email, great taxi service from Airport, to do absolutely. Then, there was no breakfast space, the first we took in our room, the second we escape. Although we were quiet clients, they were sensitive to any sound of doors, etc...Apparently they should have got issue prior with other clients or neighbours. We were more than flexible as Daniela had to leave and we accepted a breakfast in our room around 9.30am to wait her sister coming back to replace her. All that said, this remains a great address for the location, rooms are perfect, bathroom very clean with huge bath, this was perfect for the price we paid...not obvious for Roma ! Even as this guest house is located in a crowded area, even in the evening with restaurants & terraces beneath but after 10, 10.30pm, very quiet. Perhaps it was not a good period for Daniela but with a more smiley mood, we would have rated almost 10/10 !

The City House is an excellent place to stay in the historical centre of Rome and is only 100 metres from the Pantheon. Although they only supply breakfast, there are plenty of places to eat in the vicinity. Daniella and her husband are extremely helpful and made my visit all the more enjoyable. The street can be a little noisy in the mornings however but did not find it a great problem. Would definitely go back.

Daniella is genuinely wonderful and helpful. The location is great, very close to the Pantheon and central. We had the enormous family room, very spacious for 2 adults and 2 kids, and completely quiet because it's on the cloister side of the building. However I think that the smaller rooms (on the other side of the corridor) will have noise from the piazza below. Breakfast is in the room. All rooms are on the first floor. We loved the family room, and will definitely stay there again. Daniella is the best host possible.

The location is excellent - being close to the Pantheon, Trevi fountain and Piazza Navona. There are many restaurants in close proximity to the hotel/pensione (which is one story above ground level(no elevator). As it turns out the crowds having outdoor meals can result in some noise into the night! People who are bothered by such noise should go elsewhere!

Daniella was helpful, accommodating, and professional. I stayed at three hotels during my stay in Italy, this was the best. Note: The reason it was not quiet was it was located right at the Pantheon. The square always had something happening. It was wonderful!

I deffinitely recommend this hotel for your stay in Rome. It is located at about one block from the Pantheon, in a very lived area. The owner of the hotel is very kind and takes care of all the details. The rooms are spacious and clean, nicely decorated. Has air conditioner and an electric little refrigerator just in case (no drink or food are provided). The bathroom is very nice, with a bath tub, equiped with hair dryer, all brand new. However, there are not shower courtains jet. You have to be quite if you arrive late at night, since all rooms give to the entrance corridor, but respecting that little thing, the stay of everybody is benificial. The breakfast is very good and abundant, served by the owner at your room: you have to choose the night before what would you like, tea, coffe, etc, and includes yougurt, toasts, croisants, puddint, marmelade, butter and orange juice.

We had a wonderful time and we will be back, Daniella was a lovely host and everything went smoothly, from collection at the airport to our return journey to the airport. The location was perfect and we didn't need taxi's or buses we could walk to every attraction and we had a six year old with us, and she walked everywhere without complaint.

The location of this hotel couldn't be better...it's next door to the Pantheon and halfway between the Colosseum and the Vatican (about a 15-20 minute walk to each from the hotel). Daniela, the proprietor, served us breakfast in our room each morning and was very friendly and attentive. Her husband Mario picked us up from the airport and drove us there for 40 euro each way (cheaper than a taxi). He's a maniac driver, but we survived. Daniela cleans the rooms every day and will fold your clothes and put them away in the bureau or your luggage if you don't put them away yourself...so try to keep things neat on your own. We would definitely stay here again.

Very nice & clean bed & breakfast. Placed perfectly in the center of Rome. Everything was perfect, except that we found that Daniella, who owns the place, took it a bit TOO serious... She had an opinion about how we should open the door to the bathroom, because it had a small sound,- and she started to pick up things from the floor in our room when she delievered breakfast. For my next visit to Rome I will prefer a place with more privacy. BUT if you are a bit more relaxed concerned privacy, I honestly think you will find this beautiful little bed & breakfast perfect.

Perfect location with walking distance to both the Vatican and Colosseum. Excellent service from staff. Only bad thing was the noise from the street, and the problem with the air-condition (not able to run it when not in room). Otherwise a good hotel, fully recommendable.

I was so happy that I chose Bed & Breakfast City House, Rome for my two days visit to Rome! Having found it online through venere.com booking, I could not have been more delighted to find that in fact, this lovely hotel was 100 steps (literally, I counted) from the Pantheon and my favorite piazza. I would recommend a taxi from Termini train station for anyone with luggage; when I rang the door bell I was greeted graciously and warmly by Daniella whose helpful recommendations and courteous hospitality made my stay in Rome one I will cherish for years to come. My single room with private bathroom and air-conditioning was just perfect as I heard the conversations, clinking of silverware of guests and the charming accordian player in the little street and in the pizzerias below my window, it was a room with a wonderful view. Don't forget your reservation made with credit card is temporary- you will need to pay in cash here upon leaving. I was very grateful for Mario's accommodation to make me an early cappuccino and breakfast and drive me at 6:00 a.m. through the streets of Rome, before any normal traffic (how priceless!)to Da Vinci airport for my morning flight departure home. Next door to this B&B is the Chiesa di Maddelena, a very lovely Baroque church. mille grazie, Daniella e Mario! arrivederci, -Anne

City House is situated in a perfect location in Rome just down the street from the Pantheon. The accommodations are very clean and adequate and the owner is wonderful to work with. Like any centrally located hotel, the street noise is loud as there are restaurants immediately below your room; however, the location is worth it.

Top nice and clean little B&B on Piazza Maddalena just round the corner from Pantheon. Price low down, location high up and run with competence, service and charm by the hostess Daniela. Check out the butcher, Angelo Foroci, just opposite City House, and leathershop Funke, to the right - both very classy joints! Few minutes away you can find genuine good roman cooking, especially at Le Volte in Piazza Rondanini and Maccheroni at Piazza delle Copelle. A warm recommandation.

The reason we chose Daniella's B & B was because of the reviews of previous guests. We were not disappointed. The rooms were not noisey but some evenings the music on the streets was loud. Daniella and her husband were extremely friendly and helpful. They even gave us a breakfast on our last morning when we had an early start to go to the airport. This was above and beyond the call of duty! We would not hesitate to recommend this accommodation to friends and family.

Bed & Breakfast City House is an excellent place to stay in Rome. It is located to walking distance to Piazza Navona, Fontana di Trevi, The Spanish Steps... Daniela the owner of the hotel is very nice and friendly young lady. She gave us a map of the city that was much better than the one we've got with the Roma pass. She also gave us 10% discount in the pizzeria downstairs and helped us getting to Fiumicino airport. The rooms and the bathroom were very clean. The breakfast and the coffee were excellent. I would definitely come back in City House next time I visit Rome. Thank you Daniela!

Daniella, the hotel manager, welcomed us with open arms and was personable and very helpful. She made sure that we were comfortable and seemed genuinely interested in us. While our (double) room faced the restaurants, the passerbys didn't bother us. (It was nice to be so near the Pantheon and all the major sites, i.e. Trevi, Navona, etc., including the infamous shop of Angelo Feroci, the butcher -- all in walking distance.)

Great location, in the very heart of Rome, every major sight is really close to the hotel. We had a room with shared bathroom, which wasn't a problem at all, because we only shared the bathroom with 2 other guests, and the room and the bathroom was absolutely clean. Last but not least Daniela, the girl who runs the hotel was really nice and hospitable, gave us a lot of info about the city. We enjoyed our stay very much and we would definitely come back to this hotel again! Laura and Rita

My wife and I spent 2 days in Rome and the City House is GREAT, Daniela (the owner) is fantastic, so nice and kind, made everything for our stay to be perfect. And it was! B&B is in a perfect location for you to discover Rome on foot (we didn't take taxis, buses or metro). And at night there are endless options for dining. It is located right behind the Pantheon with nice restaurants downstairs, fair price and Daniela even has a 10% discount voucher. At night we would walk to Piazza Navona or Fontana di Trevi (10 minutes each).. it was amazing! Thank YOU Daniela!!

The location is great, the hotel is small, friendly, clean and quiet. Daniella who runs it likes people and it shows. Service is her middle name. We couldn´t ask for anything more other than more to eat at breakfast. Again if we would have asked for more we would probably have got it. Can´t go wrong with this place if you like it small, personal and friendly. If you like it big with public areas in the hotel, lots of space and so on this is not your first choice.

If you are looking for a welcoming, clean and easy stay in the center of Rome, this is the place to go! Great area, very safe. The B&B is small but very comfortable with own bathroom and airco in the single room. Service is great, breakfast ok (go for the nice capuccino!) and all the major attractions are within walking distance. It is in a rather busy street so I brought earplugs, but found it to be quite relaxing to fall asleep with the buzzing of the restaurants and the sound of the accordeon player. Try the icecreams of San Crispino's, it is said to be the best in Rome! I will absolutely return to this B&B for a next citytrip to Rome!

B&B in the middle of Rome (close to the Pantheon). Nothing too fancy with the little location. Pure bed & breakfast. That's it. However, very nice lady at the reception, rooms are clean. Some come with a tiny bathroom and an also tiny bed. Other rooms share a bathroom but are bigger instead in space. Good if you just want to sleep, have a basic breakfast and a location to take a shower. All in all ok, even though the price is not low (but also not too high).

Strategically located with literally all the major sights in Rome and the Vatican within a 15 to 20 min walking distance. We were a party of five and stayed in the quadruple room with an extra cot and attached bathroom. All for 190Euros a night. Breakfast was good and the capuccino was amazing. Lots of trattorias, pizzerias and gelaterias in the immediate vicinity. The manager,Lucia, spoke English and was very helpful. They do arrange for taxi/minivan pick-up or drop-offs to airport. Very nice bathroom with no hot water issues at all. All in all, we were extremely pleased with our stay and would definitely choose to stay here again.

We stayed at the Bed & Breakfast City House for a week. Yes, towels and sheets are changed every 3 days, and a mostly pre-packaged breakfast is delivered to your room as there are no public areas. Our room had no view and little daylight, but it was large enough to accommodate us and our 2 teenagers, and the affordable rate enabled us to stay in the best location in Rome, just a block from the Pantheon. Lucy, the young lady in charge during our stay, was very helpful, making taxi calls, reservations, confirming tours, and even waking at 6 am one morning just to get us up for one (tour). For what mattered to us most, space and location, it was the perfect choice. That Lucy was so nice just made our stay there even more enjoyable.

I stayed 4 nights at City house B&B, fantastic place in the heart of Rome, 1 minute walk from the Pantheon. The room was spotless clean, I had the single room which was small but lovely, overlooking the lovely street. Lucy was an excellent host, breakfast was served in the room and very nice with excellent coffee, and always offered more coffee. It was a little noisy with being on a busy street, but earplugs corrected this. There are only 5 rooms at the B&B and all looked spotless, the shared bathroom was lovely ( I had my own) I would highly recommend City House as a budget place to stay, and will certainly stay again on my frequent visits to Rome, cannot be beaten. Recommended restaurants, Ciro Ciro, directly across the street Spaghetti Osteria (Sergios) at the end of Via Maddelena, excellent food and service, City house B&B was perfect for me

City House is a great B&B! The hostess, Lucia (Daniella's sister) was very helpful and friendly, we loved her! The B&B is situated in the Pantheon area; a minute walk to the plaza! Another 5 min walk to the bus & taxi stops. The room was very clean, bigger than what we expected considering how small hotel rooms are in Europe. However, for my husband and I it suit us just fine. Lucia brought us breakfast every morning. We stayed in a room facing the street so expect noise, e.g. people talking, walking down below. There is a great restaurant down below, great pizzas!

Our general experience was fairly poor and we were disappointed. There was a horrible odor (urine-like) in the room which the hotel seemed to be aware of as they tried to mask it with scented candles, etc. We were given 3 towels for 3 nights for 2 people and briskly told we could have no more. Breakfast is not served in a common room but brought to your room so there is no community space with other travellers. The owners did not provide any advice on Rome or help with taxi arrangements. We had to get help from a neighboring hotel.

Everything was very nice. Location is superb, in the very heart of Rome (so it's not queit area, of course). Breakfast consists of tea/coffe, juice, yogurt, croissant, toasts, butter, jam and a small cake. I consider it OK for B&B. You can always buy smth else in supermarket within 2 minutes walk (turn right on the Pantheon square). My double room with one bed was really small, but they have another rooms (including one with 2 beds) Wi-fi worked fine, hot water was hot, everything was fine.

Excellent location close to the Pantheon, and in walking distance to most attractions. Extremely clean room with own bathroom, but the thing that made our vacation special was the manager, Daniela, who was very helpful, friendly and informative. I would definitely recommend the City House for anyone who wants to see the sights of Rome.

We were very pleased with this B & B. The room we were given was very large and clean and quiet. Daniella was extremely welcoming and helpful. The location is great - very close to the Pantheon. Of the three hotels I have stayed at in Rome, this is my favorite. Will definitely return.

The location of City House cannot be beat... It is 15-20 minutes from everything and I mean everything (Collesseum, Vatican, Trevi, Spanish) and it is a 1 minute walk to the Pantheon... The service was fantastic, the only knock is that it is right above a very busy area so it gets kind of noisy until 11pm or so...

The women in charge of the B&B, Daniela, was very professional, and responsible, and welcoming and upgraded the place, which on it's own is definitetly worth staying in.

Consigliato.

The manager, a young woman, went beyond her duties to accommodate me. The website incorrectly states that all rooms are en suite, and the large double room I got shared a bath with one other room. She tried to help me change rooms, but when she couldn't, she gave me a special discount to compensate for the misunderstanding. She constantly asked if I was comfortable. The location cannot be beat, especially for these prices.
