Inn Castro Pretorio - Rome

We have enjoyed stay in B&B Castro Pretorio. The staff has been very nice and helpful. The location of the hotel is perfect. There is one minus - the hotel should be better appointed in the entrance to the building.

We really enjoyed our stay in BB Castro Pretorio. + : Welcoming staff, nice room, close to the main subway station... - : Room a little bit noisy(cars...) Higly recommended for a week-end!!

I choose this hotel because of its location, near a business event I had to attend, and the price/performance seemed to be worth it. The room was very clean and well furnished. Like most Roman hotels, the single room was relatively small, but enough for one person. The bed mattress was surprisingly very good, firm but not hard, which is really unusual in Italy - just perfect for my taste. The neighborhood is "non-descript", with many other hotels in the area. It is mostly offices and residences, not many shops, but a few restaurants/trattorias. The big advantage is that it is only one block from the Metro station, and from there you can go anywhere. It is also 10-15m walk to Termini station. Breakfast is ok, especially since I don't each much - fruit juice, yogurt, croissant/pastries, coffee/tea, milk. The free wireless connection worked flawlessly during the whole stay. The only bad aspect was that my room had a persistent bad smell emanating from the drains in the bathroom. The owner explained that this has to do with the sewer system not draining properly when it rains - and it rained, sometimes very heavily - for several days. It did become less noticeable when it stopped raining, but never disappeared completely. I don't know if it also happens in other rooms. The staff very graciously allowed me to keep the room until later on my last day (the official check-out time is 10:30 am), since it was not booked, and my flight left only in the evening. Overall, I had a great stay, and would go back if I had to do business in this area. The price/performance ratio was excellent.

E' un posto davvero grazioso e accogliente, gestito da persone squisite e disponibili. E' un'ottima soluzione per chi si reca a Roma per lavoro o turismo: è infatti ben servito da metro e bus ed è situato in una zona tranquilla e provvista di ogni genere di servizio. Tornerei con piacere!
