Bed & Breakfast Casale Altavilla offers its guests the possibility to enjoy a wonderful stay in an elegant country home with swimming pool just being very close to the historical centre of Rome and to relax among the beauties of the Eternal City surrounded by modern comforts and a nice familiar atmosphere. Built as a Roman vineyard farm in the 17th century, the property has been owned and managed by the same family since 1726. Today, the property has been completely renovated by the heirs to meet all modern requirements, featuring a splendid outdoor swimming pool (open in summer) among other pleasant surprises. Guests can enjoy the garden and pool from 9 am to 7:30 pm. Casale Altavilla is located in the Aurelio-Vaticano area, it is easy to reach from Fiumicino airport (FCO) and very well connected to St. Peter’s, Navona Square, Trastevere and the historic centre (reachable in max.15 min. by direct bus). There is a bus stop just in the front of the house. The B&B Casale Altavilla provides an ideal base to visit the city and the perfect solution for guests who value elegance and charm.

This was our first visit to Rome and we loved staying at Casale Altavilla. It was convenient to Rome attractions, but was not in the center of the city. Simona was very helpful in helping us plan sites to see and bus lines to take. The rooms were very clean. We also enjoyed riposing by the pool each afternoon. The house had a rich history to it which made it much more enjoyable than a regular hotel. I would definitely stay there again if and when I return to Rome.

We rented the suite at Casale Altavilla. It was much more beautiful than we had even anticipated. There is a gated entrance to the b&b, and when the owner, Simona, opened it for us we found an exquisite garden oasis in the very midst of a bustling city setting. There is a beautiful garden with 200 year old eucalyptus and palm trees, a gorgeous pool, and gazebo. Simona is an extremely gracious and helpful hostess providing valuable hints on getting around the city. She made us feel right at home there! We had such a wonderful time that my wife actually cried when we had to leave. This is a place that you absolutely should not miss!!!

My husband and I live in Australia and required accommodation in Rome for three days.We found the Venere.com website to be absolutely wonderful. Upon our search we came across Casale Altavilla and we thought it was a lovely place to stay and the instruction to get to the villa were very easy to follow. Simone was a delightful hostess and very helpful in every way. She explained about the bus route to take to visit St Peters Catherdral, where to have a meal etc. The rooms were very clean and the breakfast we had was lovely. When we plan our next trip to Italy I will certainly go back to Casale Altavilla and see Simone again.

Completely renovated to meet all modern requirements, the lodgings have been individually appointed and feature elegant and comfortable interiors, each designed to create a warm and relaxing environment to ensure guests an extremely pleasant stay.
The property offers two standard double rooms and a large Suite with seating area with 2 single sofabeds. It is also an ideal accommodation for families (2 adults and up to 2 children or youngsters until 15 years).
All accommodations are non smoking and have private bathroom, garden view, air conditioning, Sat TV and free Wi Fi connection.

How to reach Casale Altavilla Bed and Breakfast

By car
From any of the A1, A12 or A24 highways, take the Grande Raccordo Anulare ringroad until exit no. 1 Aurelia and then follow the indications to Roma Centro-Vaticano. Follow via Aurelia for about 700 metres, until you reach Largo Perassi. Before the first traffic light, make a right turn into via Aurelia Antica. Then again, before the first traffic light make another right turn into via del Fontanile Arenato, where the property is located.
By train
From the Roma Termini railway station: take the underground line A in direction of Battistini and get off at Cornelia. If you exit the station through the lift you will find yourself on the same sidewalk of Mc Donald's and of the bus stop. At the bus stop in front of Mc Donald's, take bus line 889 and get off at the 4th stop (the first stop on via Bravetta), you will be just in front of the property.
Another option is to take bus H to its last stop from the bus station outside Termini railway station. Then walk for 300 metres until you reach the beginning of via Bravetta. You will find the house on the corner between via Bravetta and via del Fontanile Arenato.

By airplane
From Fiumicino-Leonardo da Vinci airport it is only a 20 minute drive to the property. Exiting the airport take the highway until the Grande Raccordo Anulare ring road and then follow the above-said indications.
An express train leaving every 30 minutes connects the airport to the Termini train station.
From Ciampino airport: a shuttle bus service connects the airport directly to Termini train station. Tickets can be bought either inside the airport or on the bus. Then follow the above-said directions from the station.
