Good breakfast. Our room was two minutes walk down the street from Casa Totti and breakfast. Excellent position for the main station, although inevitable traffic noise if you want the windows open. Air conditioning not working but fan provided, and we used it to deaden the outside noise!

We were expecting a quiet place but there were too many people in the area. There was a junkie sitting in the street outside the hotel bleeding from where the needle was in his arm. WTF. The AC did not work so we had to have the windows open which limits privacy. I was very unhappy with that. Philip told me to just lower the settings on the AC which didnt work. Not ideal for a couple wanting privacy. I was expecting a private bath too. It was private but we had to leave the room and pass through a common area to get to it. WTF. The WC was very hot and you needed to open a window which is fine, however, the window opened into a courtyard full of other apartments. very annoying! The surroundings were cramped and dirty and I was quite happy to leave.

Quite sweet place which is very interesting when you arrive in Roma or when you leave Roma. Indeed this not too expensive site is very close to Termini station and offers a very good prestation for the price! A good appreciation for the outdoor place that allow to have a quiet breakfast at a quite fresh temprature! Thank you M. Totti ;-)

It was good overall. We stayed in a double room with private toilet. The toilet could have been a little bigger and what's most important, clean. Breakfast was good too and the owner was nice. The only thing I didn't like much was that when we left our luggage in custody they weren't in a room looked but just in the hall.

Great location, within walking distance of the Termani railway station which was perfect for us. Also the location for the city tour busses. Our room was along the street from Signora Totti's house which wasn't inconvenient, great restaurant across the street. We went to breakfast at Signora Totti's house in the garden which was very pleasant, she was very warm and friendly and we communicated well despite our not being able to speak Italian. She was anxious to please and we enjoyed our stay.

Very nice place, very safe, breakfast was just ok, Mrs. Totti is very helpful the only inconvenient is that she doesn't speak much English but I spoke some Italian therefore our communication was ok. The place is well located 5 minutes walk from Termini and maybe 15 minutes from the centre. I would definitely go back!

Mrs. Totti provided excellent breakfast and we are very full ready for the day. (There is coffee/tea, toast, fruit, yogurt, cheese, danish, cereal, milk, juice, muffin.... just lots.) She is very friendly and accomodating. The courtyard is very nice. You need to know some italian to communicate with her though. Very nice experience.

We really liked the owner, very friendly, very kind. A little disappointed not to stay in the actual b & b but had to walk down the street to another location. Didn't really understand since we had booked in April and some other people we had met booked the week we came! Met nice people at breakfast, which was very nice by the way.

Terminni station is just 5 minutes walk from the hotel. It only take about 10minutes to the Colosseum by METRO and not too far also to the VATICAN CITY...Be very careful when you buy Metro tickets at the Kiosk own by the Asian men because they will rip you off by selling you a 1 Euro ticket when you've actually paid for an all day 4Euro and its not until you use your return ticket you realise they've RIPPED you off and when you go back to complain they will Haul you with lots of abuse and pretend that you didnt buy the Ticket there. Our room was very noisy at night and there were people hanging outside by the car park at night smoking, drinking and even more. But apart from that Mama Totti was very helpful though she doesnt speak much English but we still understood each other. Phillip the Help guy was very helpful too.

Mrs.totti was a warm person. She welcomed us with great smile that made us feel comfortable after travelling for long time. It is very close to Roma Termini and can be accessed easily. Rooms were tidy next time when i am in rome it will be Casa Totti to stay. The beautiful garden in the rear of the hotel provided for good ambience for buffet breakfast. Overall I rate it is excellent for that price.

Comfortable walking distance to Termini Rail Stn. and easily found. Ladies own home, however there are apparently rooms a few doors away. Having to use 7 different keys each time we used the room was crazy. We were the only ones there for the one night we stayed. If others were there, it would have been so noisy with unlocking the doors, unlocking the bathroom, locking the bathroom, unlocking the bedroom and locking it again for each room occupied that we would never get any sleep. The window opened to the street and the restaurant across the street was noisy with outdoor singing until 1AM. For 88 euros, it was barely tolerable.

My comment is very similar to other comments on this location. The rooms are clean, also the bathroom (which was on the floor) was very okay. The breakfast, hm... Well, the coffee was fine, but the croissants and the bread could be better. Anyway, the location is very near to the central station, with good connection to the inner city. Overall it was a nice place to stay for a few days. I would join again.

Mrs. Totti was very welcoming and provided a very pleasant room for us. Her English was broken, but certainly sufficient, and she was delighted and encouraging when I knew a few words of Italian. The room was very clean, and, though the bathroom was not ensuite, it was private and also very clean. For the price, it was absolutely worth it.

We had a very positive experience staying at A Casa Totti. Iginia was very welcoming and accommodating. We felt that the price was appropriate. The location was very good: very close to the Termini and metro stations. Communication was somewhat challenging since I only speak a little Italian and Iginia speaks very little English, but we were able to get by. It's not the most perfect place but it isn't the most expensive either. For the price, it was exactly what were were looking for: a room with a bed to sleep on and a private bathroom with great access to public transit. Being near the Termini, you have access to buses, taxis, metros, trains, the airport (via the Leonardo express)... the termini is pretty much the transit hub. We're a young couple so we bought a 3-day transit pass and traveled all over Rome by bus and Metro. However, Rome is like any large city and the streets are not the cleanest, so expect this (also, protect your valuables when in large crowds).

Lovely welcome from S. Totti who took us to our room which was in a beautiful old building about 50 metres away. The room and bathroom were spotlessly clean and located approx. 5 minutes from the Termine (main railway station). Big plus - situated across the road from one of our favorite restaurants 'Ristorante Famiglia' - delicious food competitively priced. Excellent breakfast back at her house - usual bread, biscuits, croissants, coffee etc as well as fresh fruit all in an abundance - good value.

Communications were difficult since Ms. Totti does not speak english nor does the help. The actual accomadations were not at Via Gaeta 79, but down the street at no. 23. The room was on the fifth floor and was just what we had ooked: a double bed (very comfortable) and a private bathroom. The help came every day to change the linens. The view from the window is nothing scenic. There is no air conditioning but window ventilation was okay (Sept. temmp. range was 65 to 85 degrees F.). The only problem we had was the shower head was on a hose and the wall attachment did not hold it securely. The breakfast Ms. Totti furnished was very good, eating in her garden. This was the first time we had stayed in a bed and breakfast in Rome and we heartly recommend the particular unit we stsyed in for a week.

We had a big room in the next block - with our own bathroom across the hall - and had to go to the the main address for breakfast - which was adequate if not great. Teapot had a broken spout and the bread was pre-packed and sliced. Breakfast is on a communal table in the garden - if it rains I dont know where you go. Its close to the station and some good restaurants and we did not feel threatened although there were some rough looking characters about. An ideal spot - not expensive - handy for the terminus where all the buses and trains leave from. Landlady speaks very little English but is friendly and will look after bags. The place is not signed so you must look for the address and then its just a floor in an apartment building. Would recommend as long as you are not expecting too much.

I know Casa Totti is a pension more than even a B&B but someone should teach her to at least make coffee, plus how to put out a simple continental breakfast that has at least some appeal. When you are at one of the four annex shared bath bedrooms two blocks up the street, it is really not worth the walk to start off with coffee that bad. Annex bedrooms on fourth floor are strictly basic, but not bad. Also a quite good restaurant across the street from annex rooms that is also fair in price as Rome goes. Location from main rail terminal is quite good.

It's really ideal, if you come to visit Rom and to get around the city, even by foot. It's 10 minute near the Main Railway station and Metro Station, thenn you could get by foot in about 15 min walk to Colosseum. I will advise it for young couples, people who travel alone. We will enjoy the breakfast in a nice garden and you feel nice with the service. It's clean and quite cheap comparing with other expensive and dirty hotels of Rom.

When we got to the indicated adress, we had to walk to another house on the same street with the owner and were shown a nice and big room. The owner doesn't speak any English, but up to then everything was ok. But then she came back, "threw" us out of the room which was obviously reserved for somebody else staying longer than we did. Since she didn't speak any English we couldn't communicate with her about this. We were then shown a very small and shabby room with 2 beds above each other and had the choice to stay or to go out at 9 p.m. an look for a new room in another B&B. So we stayed, but I would NEVER go back to this place nor recommend it to other travellers. This is not the way travellers should be treated I think!

Kind hostess, but tends to hover over you when you're eating breakfast. Breakfast consisted of lots of different types of bread with butter, jam, some soft apples, and average coffee - no protein, no cheeses, no good quality fruit. Bathroom was not attached to our room, which was not communicated to us. Had to walk through "public" hallway to the bathroom, which had a TINY shower. No A/C or fans & couldn't open windows. Overall, it served its purpose, a clean comfortable place to sleep that was centrally located.

The woman in charge for me was like a mother, very sweet and helpful. The place is close to the station of Termini where you can get buses, trains, and metro to everywhere.I forgot to say that the place is at the end of street which makes it really quite. Nice terrace outside. If you like to walk like me you can even walk to all places. Rome is very walkable, and nice to do it and discover places and meeting people. So the experience at Totti was really wonderful and convenient for me (there are internet cafes close by and at least a good and cheap pizzeria/trattoria, and a bakery/gelateria too!)

Mama Totti was very friendly, though she didn't speak very much English. She is very proud of her morning coffee- as she should be- it was very good in strong Italian-style. And we had some delightful conversation with other travelers at breakfast time as well. Though the area was not the best at night, it was ideal in the morning and when we arrived, being right near the train station: the metro was 5 minutes away. Close to the Borghese Villa and Trevi fountain. For it's central location, a very good deal.

The “C. T. ”’s location is perfect, less then 5 minutes from the Termini station, and the street is quiet and safe. My room was small, but with toilet and shower- I need nothing more. It was a bit noisy though. But all together- the location, helpful owner, clean room, fresh bed linens and towels and last but not least the rate- made it a perfect stay. The only thing that could be done better- the map of the property and the description how to get there. It was my first trip to Rome and I definitely would stay there next time; and have recommended this place already to my friends.

Spent a night there. The houseowner is nice, but the room was in the basement, and water was leaking inside, since it was raining. The breakfast was so so. We were in Rome for 2 days and loved the experience. The staff was excellent. There was one English speaking person, so that was helpful. Mrs. Totti was very kind and we were always able to communicate. For the price, this was an excellent choice. It was very close to all the transportation. 2 things that could be improved. The directions were not very good. We ended up paying a taxi for a 5 min. walk. The breakfast was a bit disappointing to Americans. Just to have toast and biscuit things and coffee and juice. How about some fresh fruit. Hard boiled eggs would be great. But we would choose this place again if we stayed in Rome. The private bathrooms were great. Something my husband insisted upon. The best thing about this clean, spacious B&B is its location. Really close to Termini, but really quiet as well! The owner's English is not so good, however, so it helps if you speak even a little Italian.

Easy to find, in a very nice area though close to Termini. Mrs. Totti provided a warm welcome (Italian only!) and helping hand anytime. Unfortunately, the single cellar room was moist and loud (heard toilets flushing all time). An external door was unlockable (felt safe though). I'd recommend the B&B to couples, not to single traveller.

value for money; mrs Totti ordered a breakfast at 06.30!! because of the early departure by Ryanair plane to Niederrhein. Next time we certainly return to this B&B.

It was a great brand new room! It wasn't in the main part of the b&b, actually a little ways down the street, but that was perfectly fine with us. It felt more private being farther away. It was like having our own apartment in Rome! It was really really nice.

A Casa Totti you feel welcomed and this accommodation is fully sufficient for a short stay in Rome. Signora Totti makes the difference. It's perfect to get the basics e.g. a nice and clean room, basic breakfast, a good start point to explore Rome... But if you are looking for more, like an own bathroom and full privacy you should consider to pay more and go somewhere else.

Very well located, 10mins from Termini!

Mrs Totti was a really nice and friendly woman and we felt very welcome to her house. The room was good but we would have needed a fan because it was very hot i Rome in july. We were unfortunate that there were roadworks just outside our window wich disturbed our sleep early in the morning. We can recommend to live at casa Totti if you want a nice B&B place.

I was given a single room in the basement and there is only 1 ventilation window. Shower drainage is partially blocked so water is easily overflowed into the room. However, Mrs. Totti is very friendly. I have seen the double room and the condition is much better. Recommend for couple traveller only

Diifficult to find as there is no sign outside. Mrs Totti is a very pleasant lady but the cellar room was damp, stank of mould barely covered by air freshners. There was an external door that could not be locked so had a restless night with cases piled against said door. Never again!

Be ready to pay cash up front. Rooms were large and clean. Double bed is two singles pushed together but we saw that every place we went. Breakfast was more than plenty for us. Sound seemed to carry throughout the house but she was very good about our privacy.

awful! everything; she was touching when we were talking; the bred was lying on the table the whole day (altough in paper wrapped), and the bathroom was more or less not a sepaerate room-the shower older than us (we are 1982)!

The location is near the Termini station. You hear the traffic in the room. For a short stay is the B&B good. From here you have a good connection to the city centre.

We enjoyed our stay at A Casa Totti. We found it quite easily from the train station - it's only across the road about a block away at the end of a quiet street. Great proximity to the public transport, and also close to a fabulous wine bar/restaurant/bottle shop called Trimani. Mrs Totti is a lovely lady who provided us with a warm welcome, and a nice clean room with ensuite bathroom. Her breakfasts are simply bread and jam, with a fresh pot of Italian coffee. Mrs Totti's English is about as good as our Italian, which made it challenging on occasion to communicate with each other - having said this, we got by okay. We were asked to pay cash upfront for our stay, and it helps to bring along a printout of the booking from the Venere website. She has two cats which roam around the kitchen and dining table (although not the bedroom), so be aware of this if you have allergies.
