Gianlorennzo was a very welcoming and helpful host. The appartment, with en-suite, was spotlessly clean, bright and quiet. There are plenty of wonderful restaurants nearby and the metro and other transport are close by. The Colosseum is only a 20 minute walk away.

Very clean and spacious, and a wonderfully bright and attractive apartment on the fourth floor of a typical Roman block (for this area). The area is delightful, and very safe, and allows one to use the local rail service from Fiumicino (rather than the more expensive Leonardo express) - a bonus! Breakfasts are not provided, and this was made clear in a confirming email, but there are lots of food shops around for buying provisions of a delectable sort (including some excellent bakeries), and there are plenty of caffes. One can walk to the Centro Storico in about 30 minutes, but there are also many many good bus routes connecting this area to the city centre proper, and being located a little out of the hurly burly is very soothing after a long-day sightseeing! For part of my 4-night stay there was a family in the other of the two guest-rooms, and this did make for some ‘family’ noise (kids make noise...), but nothing overly problematic. The clean, and (for Rome) roomy bathroom is shared between the 2 guest-rooms, and I suppose that if one was a group composed of two couples, the set-up would be ideal. Nevertheless, as a single traveller I was very happy with my experience. All in all, a good value and comfortable stay, in an excellent location.

Good location, walking distance to the center of Rome (20-25 min.), underground and train station near by. Nice rooms for a good price. The owner of the apartment was nice and helpful. The only thing that was not indicated was that the owner is living in the same apartment although this was not a problem for us.

Exellent place to stay if you want to discover Rome by yourself. We travelled as a group of 4, two couples, so we booked the entire place. Lorenzo, the host, was very welcoming and pointed us to all the best sights in the neighbourhood. Was always there when needed. Overall we enyojed our stay very much and should we visit Rome again we'll defenetly be staying at Lorenzos A Casa a Testaccio.

The b&b is in a flat in an apartment building a short walk from the metro. Easy to get to/from the city centre and airport! It's not too far to walk to the city centre, and there are some charming areas to see on the way, but we wouldn't recommend walking every day. The neighborhood is cosy with restaurants and cafés. A bit misleading information: Breakfast, we were told by mail a few days before arrival, was not included after all. Another review here about "the big breakfast" was what tipped the scale when we decided booking the place. The kitchen was available for us though. The balcony was indeed big and enjoyable in the sun, but we would hardly call the view scenic. You can also hear the other guests easily through the walls. Quite a nice place, we enjoyed staying here.

Even though the "innkeeper" was quite young and nice, it lacked character...and you could hear every noise from the bathroom in between the rooms, so be sure you know the people you share it with! I didn't find the location all that wonderful and felt like we may not be very welcome by the other tenants of our host's apt.

Very nice and comfortable. We felt very welcome. Ideal situated for sight-seeing either to the City and to Ostia antica, San Paolo... Undergraound station within five minutes. Very nice and not touristic restaurants and pizzerie around. A nice market-place within 3 Minutes.

If you are looking to stay somewhere other than a hotel, check out this place. Lorenzo has accommodated travellers in his three-bedroom apartment for the last three years. His hospitality was excellent and he prides himself on his big breakfasts. You will be treated like kings! He also has local knowledge of Rome and can recommend some great places to eat. The area is really convenient and only a five minute stroll to the metro station. From there, you can get to anywhere. Thank you!

Excellent hospitality and location. Offered us a drink when we arrived after lugging our bags from the metro station. Gave great restaurant recommendations and had a nice living room where we watched the first half of the Italy vs Spain game. Would come back in a heartbeat.
