Desayuno incluido y bueno. Algunas habitaciones tienen baño privado.

Casa Simpatia was not lived in by the owner, as you may assume this from the previous reviews. When we arrived we had to wait an hour to get in. The area wasnt the best and we didnt feel comfortable standing around with our luggage. The B&B itself was ok. The room was clean but badly in need of being updated, the sheets were well worn. We only saw Paulo once when he let us in. The girl who worked there was lovely and a great help! All in all we got what we paid for. But we didnt think much of the area. And our room was noisy and small. Its a 20 min tram ride to see any of the main attractions in Rome.

This Place of stay was EXTREMELY difficult to find and different from the room type confirmed. Paolo was abrupt and rude. The room was stayed in was small and dirty. We did NOT recieve any breakfast yet it was confirmed on the invoice that we were meant to. Would not stay here if we were to return to rome. I would seek to find cleaner and more central accomodation.

The property is a flat, you get one of its rooms. The ours was really small - there is almost no place for the luggage. But for the limited time we spent there it did not matter. Very comfortable is the fact that you can come and leave anytime and that there is always a kitchen available. This helps you to feel like at home - it is much better than in a hotel. Paolo and Simone are very kind and friendly. This B&B is a good choice.

Our experience was overall very pleasing. Paolo is a nice and upbeat host who even came to get us at Termini station upon arrival (extreeeemely helpful!!). The house is located 20 min. from the main attractions, which makes it both very easy to access at any time of day or night, but also provides a much appreciated quietness - well everything is relative in Rome!! Bring earplugs and you will be just fine! The only thing that I had a problem with was the quality of the mattresses. You could feel the huge springs as if you were sleeping right on them. But then again, you are so dead after walking all day in Rome that you don't really notice after a day or two. We recommend this place to all - can't beat the price. And if you want top comfort, there are plenty 5 star hotels around.

Paolo's booming voice was a great welcome after a long plane ride. I had a little difficulty finding the place from Termini station, but once I got off the tram, things were fine. My friend had no problem finding the place from Tiburtina. It was not difficult to get to all the sights from the apartment and it didn't take long as well, though it is a bit out of the way. Night buses also ensured that we could get home after a few drinks. The street was a bit loud at night, but closing the shutters really helped there. Definitely good value for dollar in Rome.

The place is really far from city. The staff are really helpful and experienced. The house is old and the bed is lumpy though. The bathroom is really clean. We had a double room near the street. Quite noisy. The good thing is that there are plenty of food for breakfast in the kitchen.

We've stayed A Casa Di Simpatia for 4 days - thanks to Simona and Paolo it was very very pleasant stay. We've arrived much earlier than agreed but it wasn't a problem - after 10 minutes they were with us. Thanx for a warm welcome:) The only disturbance is rather noisy street behind the window-but well, it's Roma:) Rooms and bathroom are extremely clean, you can prepare good breakfast (always fresh bread), you will get all necessary information regarding your stay in Roma from Simona and Paolo:) We didn't manage to see everything we wanted, so - we'll be back:)

Ovviamente a Casa Simpatia. Grazie ancora Paolo, troppo the best! (Ester & Emiliano from Torino)

Everything was brilliant. paolo is a very nice guy who even picked us up with his car at stazione termini when we arrived in rome. the service of paolo and simona was excellent. every morning they filled up the refrigerator and made fresh coffee. they also gave us some good advices and information about the city and it´s public transports. casa simpatia is a clean appartment with four separate bedrooms and one "international" kitchen where you can enjoy your breakfast with people from all over europe - it was like a big appartment sharing community for students. the transport connection is very simple and good: a ticket for one day costs 4 euro and you can use every public transports in the whole city. there is a tram stop around the corner of casa simpatia from where it takes 10 minutes to stazione termini (if there is no practice for cases of terror :-)) from termini you can reach every important highlight within a few minutes by metro or bus. finally we have to say that we enjoyed our stay in casa simpatia in rome! thanks to paolo and simona!!! we will come back

The room we had was an excellent value. The service was helpful, and the kitchen very nice. The room was advertised as quiet, though it was right in the acceleration zone of a local road, and, therefore, very noisy (we don't come from the city, so we may be less forgiving about this). There seemed to be at least one more room which was more quiet. So if you don't like noise, ask for the quiet room. Overall, this room was a great value!

This is a nice place for the price. It is difficult to find, however. In hindsight, it would have been helpful to phone Paulo in Rome (as his website indicated, but we unfortnately did not do) upon our arrival to get detailed directions. Over all, a great non-touristy location with local shops and restaurants.

We remained in the bed & breakfast "A Casa Simpatia" for one day. The access was a bit difficoltous (the building was under restructuring, and the B&B was indicated on the intercom only with the name of the owner, Paolo Condemi, not as "Casa Simpatia"). That was the only, very little problem, because the permanence was pleasant: the room was quiet (except some obvious sounds from the street) and all the B&B (bathroom included) was extremely clean. Very essential furnitures but excellent cleanness - the most important thing talking about B&B and hotels! This is valid for the bed sheets too: the owner not only washes them as usual, but also baskets and replaces them every five times with new ones, to give the best hygienic warranties. I guess that not all the hotels replace the bed sheets so frequently, so this is a remarkable thing. In the B&B "A Casa Simpatia" there are not towels - you must come with your towel. This seems apparently strange, but Paolo said that it's always for hygienic reasons, and all in all he's right. Coming with the own personal towels it's just a little sacrifice that does not causes problems. The kitchen is little and extremely simple but complete with all the things you need to make a good breakfast - marmelade, cookies, etc. , and an "English breakfast" too (salami, eggs...). Also in this case, simplicity and cleanness are the keywords. I highly reccommend this B&B, because it's probably one of the less expensive B&B in Rome, it's very, very simple and you must renounce to some comforts (the towels as already said), but it is CLEAN and it is professionally managed by Paolo, a very kind person. Excellent price/quality rate. Thank you, Paolo, for the kind service, i will be pleased to come back again. :-)

We spent 5 nights (9-14 May '05) at "A Casa Simpatia" (location: Conte di Carmagnola, not elsewhere), we got lots of great stuff at breakfast (a cheerful host-Paulo took care of it every day), and paid about 58Euro/night. All day long we were in centre Rome visiting, getting there in 15 min. buy bus or tram. For a bed&breakfast.. it was quite a good deal for us, you can go for it ! D & V

The main problem we had staying at Casa Sympatia was in finding the place. There was no indication as to which apartment unit/number he was in and he did not let us know. The room was good and breakfast facilities were great (full access to a stocked kitchen and fridge!)The other problem was that the bed was very uncomfortable!

This place should not be advertised as a bed and breakfast, as there was NO breakfast! Also, there is no sign posted anywhere indicating the place. We had to walk around to find locals that happened to know the people who ran it. Once we finally found it we were actually greeted kindly. The room was simple but clean. They were helpful with transportation information. After going out for dinner we returned in the evening and attempted to enter the apartment. The front door to the building had a key broken off in the keyhole. We did not know which doorbell to ring as there is no sign anywhere. So after trying multiple times and ringing other people's doors we finally got in. We were concerned that we would need to pay for another hotel room. We thought we would pay the next morning as requested but there was no one around and at the "breakfast" table there was a dirty ashtray sitting there. So, when we came home that evening the owner was sitting up and was extremely unfriendly and rude. We have been living and travelling in Italy for 2 1/2 years and this was the poorest example of hospitality we have seen in Italy. We paid what we owed and there was no thank you or anything. We would never go back and would never recommend people to stay here. If someone is going to be in the hospitality business and want referrals or repeat customers, a simple smile and genuine hospitality is a must! If you decide to stay here be prepared to find your own breakfast and expect poor customer service!

It was really nice to stay there, because: it wasn't too noisy - it's not situated in the center, you must take the tram (10minutes) - and there were cheap restaurants in the area to eat good pizzas :-) you have the key of the apartment, the key of the room, and just do as you were at home! other people in the building are italian people, you don't feel like a tourist, you just feel at home! you can take everything you want from the fridge for the breakfast ;-) we'll go there again!
