Stayed two nights for a football match at the Stadio Olimpico which is a 10 minute walk. Perfect location. The owner, Lia, is delightful. She couldn't have done more to help or make us feel welcome. Highly recommended.

Having stayed in Rome before, Lia's home is a lovely place to stay but a little bit out of the way if wanting to visit tourist sites. limited public transport available. We also stayed whilst there was a major football match at the olypmic stadium, there was noise from emergency services and a helicoptor going round in circles until 01.30. however if you're wnating to watch the football it would be very convenient! Lia's recommendation for a local restaurant was excellent.

Lia helped make our stay in Rome a very memorable visit. Her residence is very centrally located (Have Lia show you the view from the rooftop - it will help orient you to the city), and tram and subway connections are quite convenient. There's a wonderful little neighborhood restaurant just down the street that became our favorite! If ever back in Rome, I would definately stay there again - Thanks Lia, for sharing your home and hospitality with us - Nancy and Richard

We wanted a nice quiet B&B away from the crowds and noise of the centre of Rome and found that and more. The owner, Lia, who spoke perfect English, was very kind and helpful. She went so far as to take us up to the roof terrace to point out the major sights and help us get oriented. Lia had excellent suggestions for getting around, where to eat and what to see. The breakfast is already set up for you so you can get up when you please and help yourself. The location is in a nice, quiet neighborhood, only a 10 minute tram ride to all the major sites. The well priced rooms are clean and bright with very good bathrooms. I strongly recommend this B&B to all who want to see Rome but still like a quiet refuge away from the busy city.

Staying at Casa di Lia was the icing on the cake during our time in Rome. Lia was very welcoming and spent time ensuring we had all the information necessary to make the most of our stay. The accommodation was excellent and being located in a quiet residential area made the whole experience even more enjoyable. Getting to any of the many historic and interesting areas was easy and quick as public transport is cheap, reliable and plentiful. Even walking to many of the most famous sites is an option. We would have no hesitation staying at Casa di Lia again.

I think that this property was great because we wanted somewhere quiet and somewhat close the sights. Lia was very helpful and didn't steer us wrong! Everything was clean and comfy. There are some great pizza places nearby to try! Our only suggestion would be to improve the breakfast available- it seemed as if we were eating left-overs from her household- there was only breadstuffs and coffee-some juice, fruit or fresh muffins would have made a big difference for the price. Overall we were very pleased staying in Rome at Casa di Lia. Thanks again!

Lia was a great help with our uneducated knowledge of Rome. She even helped us get to our rental car location while there was a transit strike by giving us a ride in her personal car.

Lia was a great host and gave us many tips about Rome, what to visit and where we can find nice restaurants for lunch or dinner. The B&B is also located in a nice quiet part of Rome with very good connections by public transport to almost every part of Rome. The bus stop is right out the B&B court, don`t need to walk too much :) If we in Rome again, we`ll be back for shure :)

I would recommend A Casa di Lia to people who do not want to be in the heart of a busy city. This is for people who also enjoy dicovering the neighbourhoods and the local people of the city. We had a wonderful stay. Felt extremely at home and relaxed. Lia is a very capable hostess and there was a lovely homely atmoshphere in her home. We will certainly be back to visit should we be back in Rome. For people who enjoy walking a city, this is a perfectly placed b&b with an efficient public transport to get you started on your walk in the city.

Lia's B&B was really great place for me and my teenager. It was our first visit to Italy and we felt very safety and homey. A casa di Lia is an exellent place for people who like quiet surroundings. We could easily go sightseeing Rome; first by tram (2) to Piazza del Popolo and then take a metro to Colosseum, Vatican or Spanish steps... Weekly ticket was a big help for that. Thank you Lia, Elena and Bernie for a good care! Greetings to Ulrike! And thanks for the cake, Mario! Rome -we will see you again. And the address will be A Casa di Lia. Marja and Jenni

Lia was very nice and helpful. The bedroom was smaller than we expected, but accomodating. Location was excellent for transportation and quiet night sleep. Good restaurants around. It is simple, small and clean at a good price. It is great for someone that wants a comfortable and clean bed to come back at night and have a good night sleep. We only wish credit cards were accepted for payment.

We have recently returned from a lovely stay in Rome. I hadnt used this site before and am very glad to have found it and will use it again. The reviews were accurate in our case. Lia was a lovely person and gave us plenty of good advice for getting around the city. We were quite close to the centre - about 20 mins by tram and we bought a three day pass for 11euros each which gave us unlimited travel. Most of our travel whilst in the city was on foot and we were pleased to have brought comfy shoes. The accommodation was great, just what I hoped for. We were able to come and go without any difficulties and felt safe. One thing - the little restaurant Tiepelo is great and only at the bottom of the street. Dont bother with the Frizziana - Pizza place really bad. Will stay with Lia again when in Rome - if she has vacancies.

Lia was a great host and gave us lots of tips on Rome and what to visit. The dogs were exciting to have and great to play with :) The rooms were not huge, but it was well laid out and comfortable. The attached bathroom seemed to have been recently renovated and was really nice, including a bathtub! The only thing is that there is no daily cleaning/towel change, but that was not a problem with us. We had a good time and would choose Lia's place again if we go back! Locationwise, it was in a quiet area, so we slept well at night. It was easily accessible by tram and bus. The bus from Termini to Lia's place took 20-30 mins (not including waiting time). The tram + train option to termini took about 20mins, including walking (quickly) and waiting, although there is more to walk :)

Location perfect for sightseeing in Rome; Fairly close to most attractions. Lia made us very welcome and is a wonderful hostess. The rooms, although not very big, were very clean, very quiet and surprisingly private, despite being within a family apartment and 5 pets. We can absolutely recommend this B&B to people with spirit!

Lia was so warm and welcoming, we felt so relaxed and "at home" with her. Since we didn't need so much help with getting around in Rome i guess we missed out one of her best qualities. She is at disposal as much as you would need anyway, and speask perfect english! We highly reccomend her and will most likely stay with her at our next trip to Rome!

We had a wonderful stay at Lia's. She is very friendly and hospitable as her daughter, dog and cats! They all provided a homely atmosphere. The room was clean and comfortable with a nice bathroom. The house is in a quiet residential area, which is an oasis of rest after spending the day in the busy centre. The public transport to the centre is convenient and frequent. I would recommend Lia's B&B to everyone staying in Rome for both short and longer visits.

It is not posible to give an objective review. The problem is that Lia was rebuilding her appartment. Our room was just finished and was verry nice. Small room with fine bathroom. The rest of the appartment and the balcony was a bit of a mes because of the rebuilding. Another problem for us was the fact that Lia had 9 cats and my wife is alergic to cats and catshair. We could stay only one night and had to leave because of my wifes allergie. We also had to make our own italian breakfast (one cup of coffee and a croissant)

Many thanks and greetings to Lia, who has been very friendly and helpful. Because of some restauration-works in the rooms, she was a little bit under pressure, but every day she had time for a talk, answered questions, gave insider informations... and I hope, the furniture at last found its right place. The new rooms will be very convenient with their own flair. Also the view from the terasse is worth a foto. The atmosphere was familiar and the cats and dog include the visitors emediately. With bus and tram you enter the city in about 10 minutes easily. We enjoyed our holiday very much and I would choose this adress every time again to visit Rome!!!

Lia was a very kind person with a warm and joyfull welcome. The house was very clean. One thing you have to bring with you, you definitly must like pets. She has some sweet cats and a lovely dog running around the appartment (not in the bath and your room. The terrace is really beautiful and it is a pitty that it is for breakfast only (as I understood). Other things I can say about the B&B; it is really relaxing there and and it is really uncomplicated. I can really recommend this B&B

On arrival in Rome, a quick phone call to Lia was all that was needed for an easy trip to her house. Once there she was waiting for us with a magnificent welcome. After a brief run-down of all facilities we were left to our own devices and Lia was always available if we had any queries, not only of the apartment but also for seeing Rome. Over all a very enjoyable and friendly weekend, like staying with a long lost sister.

A most pleasant experience. We had a little difficulty finding the apartment as it was dark when we arrivd and we were supposed to phone if lost.We had no phone but a neighbour showed us where to go afterwhich we had a most pleasing reception. One shares the public space with a number of animals but that was not a problem for us.The family was charm itself.
