Accommodation is pleasant, public areas were cleaned daily to a good standard. The location is close to two metro stations, one of which being Termini. The area was quiet. The room and bathroom is basic, however this is reflected in the price. I would recommend this to others who want somewhere that's clean and basic as a base for exploring.

There was no sign around hotel neither by doorbell and I had to call to tenant about arrival. It is the 3rd floor! But otherwise everything was ok, personal was lovely (only italian speaking!) and nice stay! I would go back to Casa del Sole with next visit of Rome. Martin

Casa Del Sole, the best place to stay in Rome. Relatively close to center(4 stops to Termini with Metro). Direct connection from Fiumucino airport. Flavio was very friendly and provided with all useful information. Refreshing to stay after a hot day roam in Rome. Would definitely stay here again, if I return to Rome.

1. It is better for people who arrive at Fiumicino airport to take a train to Tiburtina station which is 3 streets away from the apartment, plus the train is less expensive also, and this is much less complicated than to arrive in Termini station with the Leonardo express. 2. To access to the building, you will have to cross a gate where it is written "Analisi cliniche" (there is a lab on the first floor) 3. There are small grocery stores all around (one for delicious fruits and vegetables at 103 Via Lorenzo il Magnifico; On the same street, close to number 142 of the same street, there is an awsome gelateria. Also there are delicious fresh made pasta close to 55 Via Michele di Lando, as well as a small market). 4. The tenant is really discreet and really nice. He will not spy on you, like other tenants do, and is really trustworthy. 5. If you are in room number 3, ask for a fan because this room is the hottest. Have a nice vacation in Roma

There are only 2 bathrooms and we were told that our room (for 3 persons) has a private bathroom, but some of the other guests used it too. There is well equipped kitchen. Breakfast is only sweet (long life pastry - not freshly baked, joghurt etc. There is a possibility of leaving your luggage on the last day. We would not hesitate to return if we ever came back to Rome.

It's just a marvelous B&B with so special atmosphere, nice profume, very clean rooms, great staff and unique style of 30's, seems like a italian museum . Location is quite good, nice zone with no traffic near the Metro stations. I've been enjoying my statement there just for 3 days, would like to come back there one day. Price is not so high for Rome and quality is really fair (I've been in other B&B at Rome before), reccomend to any guest of Rome, you'll like it the same as me I'm sure!

Casa del Sole was a lovely place to stay during a visit to Rome. It had everything we needed. Be aware of the fact that it is on the third floor of an older building with a lift that does not always work.. The B&B is old but neat and very clean. A bit noisy (roomwindow is old, does'nt shut the streetsounds out), but after a days walk trough beautifull Rome we were so tired that we had absolutely no problem sleeping. As the B&B does not stand on the citymap, we could not find our way to the centre on foot (what we wanted), so we had to use subway or bus. Which is actually working fine: a 10 minute walk from B&B to Bologna Metro station and then about 5-10 minutes to Termini station. Or about 20 minutes bij bus 310. If we come back to Rome, we also come back to Casa del Sole.

I stayed in Rome for 10 days and really enjoyed my stay at Casa del Sole. Rooms are quiet and large, absolutely clean as well. The owner is very kind who gives helpful information and advice. A great place if you are German, because the owner speaks German (native speaker) as well as English and Italian. There is a kitchen to prepare little meals or coffe/tea, also a microwave and a fridge. The breakfast-room is very nice, there are nice snacks and cereals - the owner always makes sure that you have enough fresh milk, drinks and snacks. I highly recommend this place. Metro is just 5 minutes to walk, just a short ride to reach the main station and the center.

The hotel is actually a residential apartment and the owner lives elsewhere, which gives guests a good deal of privacy. The breakfast was generous and waiting for us when we wanted it - there is no set time at which you have to eat. Unless you are Usain Bolt, the property is definitely more than 2 minutes from Piazza Bologna, but it is very close to Tiburtina and exactly as indicated on the map. Overall it was quite clean, the only exception was the sheets which were quite used and felt grubby. The only major drawback of the property is the noise, both from inside and outside. The windows are a thin, old style that seems to conduct noise rather than muffling it. The breakfast room is right next to one of the guest rooms and if you are staying in that room like we did, good luck sleeping in past the time others decide to have breakfast. However, if you wake up early you shouldn't have any problem.
