Casa del Sole was a lovely place to stay during a visit to Rome. It had everything we needed. Be aware of the fact that it is on the third floor of an older building with a lift that does not always work.. The B&B is old but neat and very clean. A bit noisy (roomwindow is old, does'nt shut the streetsounds out), but after a days walk trough beautifull Rome we were so tired that we had absolutely no problem sleeping. As the B&B does not stand on the citymap, we could not find our way to the centre on foot (what we wanted), so we had to use subway or bus. Which is actually working fine: a 10 minute walk from B&B to Bologna Metro station and then about 5-10 minutes to Termini station. Or about 20 minutes bij bus 310. If we come back to Rome, we also come back to Casa del Sole.

We asked foe a private bathroom, but that wasnt possible to arrange/ they sad that it is possible, but it wasnt-durring our stay other guests were using our bathroom/ room was very, but very noisy!!! old wooden windows doesnt help at all. However breakfast were very nice (sweet only).

It was a big room nicely decorated...near to Tributina train station...breakfast it very normal...the care taker Linda is very nice and helpful...location is great...good value for money...

I stayed in Rome for 10 days and really enjoyed my stay at Casa del Sole. Rooms are quiet and large, absolutely clean as well. The owner is very kind who gives helpful information and advice. A great place if you are German, because the owner speaks German (native speaker) as well as English and Italian. There is a kitchen to prepare little meals or coffe/tea, also a microwave and a fridge. The breakfast-room is very nice, there are nice snacks and cereals - the owner always makes sure that you have enough fresh milk, drinks and snacks. I highly recommend this place. Metro is just 5 minutes to walk, just a short ride to reach the main station and the center.

The hotel is actually a residential apartment and the owner lives elsewhere, which gives guests a good deal of privacy. The breakfast was generous and waiting for us when we wanted it - there is no set time at which you have to eat. Unless you are Usain Bolt, the property is definitely more than 2 minutes from Piazza Bologna, but it is very close to Tiburtina and exactly as indicated on the map. Overall it was quite clean, the only exception was the sheets which were quite used and felt grubby. The only major drawback of the property is the noise, both from inside and outside. The windows are a thin, old style that seems to conduct noise rather than muffling it. The breakfast room is right next to one of the guest rooms and if you are staying in that room like we did, good luck sleeping in past the time others decide to have breakfast. However, if you wake up early you shouldn't have any problem.

Very nice and quite and great price. There is no aircondition, so in summer it might be very hot.
